Prologue: MIA

A/N: I don't own the Russian Ground Forces or Genshin Impact.

Anyways, enjoy!

Green Zone, Baghdad, Iraq

With the Russian SSO and US Army Rangers. Joint patrol.

Dimitri's POV:

Anyways, you're wondering probably what's going on? Well, to put it simply, I'm back with my Ranger friends in Iraq. It was only 2 years ago that I was still a Ranger, and 1 year ago that I left the Rangers for the Russian Special Forces, only for me to end up in Iraq again. Ironic huh? Anyways, our main mission today was to patrol the streets of Baghdad for any malicious activity, like some Taliban insurgent planning an attack, or an ISIS suicide bomber. In any case, we were to stop them immediately. In the general sense, we pushed back the Taliban and ISIS hard. Gaining victory after victory, their logistics and organization were hampered by our counterterrorism efforts put against them.

US Army Ranger Major: Well Captain, what a fine morning for a patrol.

Me: God why? (I chuckle)

US Army Ranger Major (chuckles back): Well you know, you were a Ranger one.

Me: I guess we got to lead the way don't we?

US Army Ranger Major: Eyup. Okay, let's down to business.

He then pulls out a map of Baghdad.

US Army Ranger Major: We are here (points to the Green Zone) in the Green Zone. Here are our paths. (he then points to some of the major roads) We stick to the roads and try to not make ourselves known, less we want the terrorists to know we were there.

Me: Ah the douchebags.

US Army Ranger Major: Well yeah.

I then sighed.

Me: This is like my time all over again.

The Major then patted me on the shoulder.

US Army Ranger Major: Don't worry man. Just do what you did when you were still a Ranger. We lead the way, remember?

Me: Right....

I then look outside to see chaos in formations.

Me: I guess the men still have a lot to learn?

US Army Ranger Major: Newly minted Rangers. Just got here about a few weeks ago.

Me: Okay. Guess they have a lot to learn.

US Army Ranger Major: Yeah. Anyways, you go get your squad of operators and tell them to get going.

Me: Alright.

I then left the command tent to search for my operator team.

SSO Camp, Green Zone

Me: -Уэлп, похоже, нам нужен патруль. (Welp, it looks like we got a patrol to do.)

One of my operators, Vadim, spoke up.

Vadim: Значит, мы работаем с Рейнджерами? Проклятые американцы. (So we're working with the Rangers? Damn Americans.)

I then hit his shoulder.

Me: Эй, я когда-то был рейнджером! Не надо так их оскорблять! Чтобы попасть сюда, им пришлось пройти некоторое время через отбор. По-прежнему здорово с новичками. Они узнают. (Hey, I was a Ranger once! Don't you go insulting them like that! They had to take some time through selection to get here. Stay cool with the newbies. They'll learn.)

Vadim: Хорошо, но я делаю это только потому, что ты наш офицер. (Fine, but I'm only doing this because you're our officer.)

Me: Что ж, хорошо, потому что, если ты сошел с ума против них, мне пришлось бы тебя курить. (Well good, because if you went crazy against them, I was going to have to smoke you.)

The other operators of my 4 man team, Vladimir, and Egor.

Me: Давай, мужик, пошли. (C'mon man, let's go.)

I then motioned for them to get up and start moving, as we were going to have a long day ahead of us.

Somewhere in Teyvat, Genshin Impact World

Third Person POV:

Paimon (narration): So...what you are trying to say is that you fell here from another world? But when you wanted to leave and go on to the next world, your path was blocked by some unknown god?

To the scene:

The siblings, Aether and Lumine were standing side by side, waiting to go to the next world, when they were met by the unknown god.

Unknown God: Outlanders, your journey ends here.

Lumine: Who are you?

Unknown God: The sustainer of heavenly principles. The arrogation of mankind ends now.

The unknown god then made a red box near the siblings, to which they both dodged and summoned their swords and wings. They then flew to the unknown god, who raised her hand to summon several obstacles flying their way. Both siblings dodged the obstacles, which were also attacks by the unknown god. As they were about to strike her, Lumine was forced back and Aether was slowly consumed by the red cubes of the unknown god surrounding him, before it materialized into a cube.

Lumine: Aether!

Lumine then flew behind the god to try to strike her from behind, but the god simply dodged and blocked her, knocking her back, before the red cubes then consumed her as well.

Lumine: Wait! Don't go! Give my brother back.

She was then launched somewhere far far away.

Back to narration:

Lumine: And just like that, the god took away my brother. Some kind of seal was cast upon me, and I lost my power. So while we used to travel world to world, we are now trapped here.

On a beach

Lumine drew the unknown god with a stick.

Lumine: How many years ago was it? I don't know...but I intend to find out. After I awoke, I was all alone -- right up until I met you two months ago. (she looks at Paimon)

Paimon: Yeah, Paimon really owes you for that. Otherwise Paimon would have drowned. So, Paimon will do her best to be a great guide. Anyways, we should head off. Let's get going!

Lumine then sprinted off the beach and followed Paimon to a rock wall.

Paimon: The path ends here -- guess we'll just have to climb. Climbing depletes stamina, and depleted stamina takes time to recover!

A/N: *laughs in Dimitri being a Spetsnaz Operator*

Paimon: Okay, let's take the route we planned!

Lumine then hitched herself onto the wall and climbed until she reached the top. They both continued down the path in the forest, grabbing some items along the way, until they reached a cliff.

Paimon: Oh wowww!

Paimon and Lumine spot a Statue.

Lumine: So that's one of the Statue of the Seven?

Paimon: Yep! There are a few of these statues scattered across the land to show the Seven's protection over the world. Among the seven gods, this god controls the wind.

Lumine: So the Anemo element?

Paimon: Paimon's not sure whether the god you're looking for is the Anemo God, but...Paimon'll take you to the Anemo God's place first, and there's a reason why.

Lumine: Okay.

Lumine then continues the trek down the cliff to get to the statue.

Paimon: There'll definitely be someone there who knows about your bother. At least, that's what Paimon thinks!

Lumine: Let's just hope that's true.

Paimon: Whether the gods actually answer you is a different story. You never know unless you try. So, let;s hop to it!

They both followed their way to the Statue, with the city of Mondstadt in the background. Lumine then touched the statue and it soon lit up with blue energy, then giving a crystal of energy towards Lumine.

Lumine (a bit shocked): Woah.

Paimon: Ooh! Did you feel the elements of the world? Seems all you had to do was just touch the statue and you got the power of Anemo! As much as they may want it, people in this world can never get a hold of the powers as easily as you.

Lumine: I think I know why, it's because...

Paimon: Ah-ha, it's because you're not from this world to begin with. If we keep heading west from here, we'll eventually reach west from here, we'll eventually reach Mondstadt, we'll eventually reach Mondstadt, the City of Freedom. Mondstaht is the city of wind, because they worship the God of Anemo. So perhaps, because you got power from the God of Anemo, you can find some clues there. There are also lots of bards there, so perhaps one of them has heard news of your brother. The elements in this world responded to your prayers and Paimon thinks that's a lovely sign.

They then continued to Mondstadt, not knowing that another Outworlder would appear some time later.

Back on Earth, Baghdad, Iraq, with the US Army Rangers and Russian SSO

Al Rashid District

Dimitri's POV:

Me: -Now, does everyone know what they're doing?

Everyone nodded.

Me: Alright men, let's move. Rangers lead the way!

We then split off into two teams. Myself, Vladimir, Vadim, Egor, and a few other Rangers would be patrolling the right side, while the others patrolled the left. It was a busy day in Baghdad with just the usual. Rush hours, people going to the markets for the morning food, etc. For the first few miles of the patrol, it was calm, but I had a sense of uncertainty cloud my judgement.

US Army Ranger Private #1: You alright sir?

Me: Yeah, I guess I'm fine. Thanks for the concern.

US Army Ranger Private #1: Whatever you say sir.

We had our rifles slung over our chests in case if some terrorist decided to attack us. But, so far, so good.

Vadim: Сегодня необычайно спокойно. (It's unusually calm today.)

Me: Да, хоть будьте начеку. Террористы могут появиться из ниоткуда. (Yeah, though be on guard. Terrorists might spring out of nowhere.)

Vadim: Так точнo. (Yes sir.)

We continued our patrol, until I spotted some unusual in the distance.

Me: Wait here men. I need a closer look.

I took out my binoculars to see what it was. It looked like a large Taliban force was gathering ina courtyard of a tennis court.

Me: Crap. We've got Taliban ahead of us.

Egor: Do we flank them then?

Me: We may have to. I don't want them to know we're here.

US Army Ranger Specialist #1: Maybe we can snipe them?

Me: No. That we give away our position too easily. Plus, we're not aware if they have snipers around the surrounding areas as well. So, we're going in quietly, and using the element of surprise to take them out out. Got it?

Everyone: Yes sir.

Me: Alright let's hustle! We're Oscar Mike.

A few minutes later, outskirts of the tennis courtyard, Baghdad, Iraq

We somehow managed to sneakily get past all the eyes of the terrorists somehow, and we're taking our positions in the courtyard, splitting into two teams. One team would take the north side, while my team would take the south side. It was a hastily put plan, but I know it would work, since there were only two entrances/exits out of that place.

Me (doing hand signals): Prepare to breach.

One US Army Ranger Private got out his shotgun and begin to breach.

US Army Ranger Private #2: Breaching.

He then fired the locks and kicked the door open, letting us in.

Taliban Insurgent #1: !الأمريكيون (Americans!)

The Taliban insurgents started to shoot at us, while we took some down. The north side Rangers also began their breach, putting the insurgents in a tight position. Even if they were not able to escape, they still put up a hell of a resistance. One of them threw a grenade at Vadim.

Me: Граната! (Grenade!)

I knew it was too late to throw back, so I placed myself under the grenade to protect myself.

Vadim: Товарищ капитан! (Comrade Captain!)

I then waited for the explosion, only for it to turn into a blue portal and tried sucking me in.

Egor: Товарищ капитан!! (Comrade Captain!!)

Vladimir: Товарищ капитан!! (Comrade Captain!!)

US Army Rangers: Captain!!

They all tried to pull me back, but the force of portal was too strong, and sucked me in. Later, I would find out that I would land in a world far different from Earth, but still able to support life.

Known as Teyvat.

A/N: And that's the end of the Prologue. Episode 2 is where our hero will meet the heroine. Will feelings appear between them? Find out in the next episode of "In a Fantasy World with a Spetsnaz Operator"!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this. Remember to review and vote!

Have a nice day!
