Zarkon and Elara have been married for about two months and it's been good. A smooth, happy marriage is what they have. Today Elara woke up feeling awfully sick, her fur was shinier, and she felt very tired. She instinctively thought she could possibly be pregnant but she wasn't completely certain so she grabbed a scanner out of her dresser and bolted into her and Zarkon's private restroom and went ahead and scanned herself since she knew how to use one, right after dry heaving. She was grateful that Zarkon was a heavy sleeper. She was panicking to herself like there was no tomorrow.

'We haven't even had that talk yet... It's way too soon.' She thought to herself.

The scanner beeped and she quickly looked at the results and never gasped so loud in her life, she clasped a hand over her mouth and glanced at Zarkon from door who was legitimately snoring.

"Oh my gods... I thought he was bluffing." She panicked.

In the midst of her panicking moment, she didn't realize that Zarkon had woken up.

"Elara?" She heard him called as he got up.

She pulled herself together and walked out of the restroom.

"I'm here." She said, as if nothing was going on.

He sensed that deep down she was uneasy. He knew he had to asked her what was wrong.

"What's wrong? Are you alright?" He asked.

She knew this was a serious matter and couldn't lie to him, she hated lying to him, they're married now and secrets this early on in their marriage would be chaotic.

"I know it's too soon. We don't even have that discussion yet, but... I'm pregnant." She said nervously.

"I'm sorry what?" He asked, struggling to comprehend what she just said.

"I know it's unexpected bu- oh my gods Zarkon!" She gasped as he passed out and tumbled to the floor.

She knelt down next to him and couldn't stop panicking.

"I'M GONNA BE A FATHER!" He yelled happily as he sat right, completely conscious.

"You're not mad?" She asked.

"What? No! Never! I'm over the moon that you're pregnant. It wasn't expected but I'm still happy." He said, standing up and helping her up.

"Oh ok good. I thought you'd be a little upset, I'm glad you're not." She said in relief.

"I could never be mad at you for this. It takes two to make a baby and since it that both of us I'm more than happy to start a family." He said, kissing her forehead.

She instantly started crying. Mood swings. This is happiness that she couldn't even put into words. That day they took the entire family of the soon-to-be new edition to the family.
