After 17 hours of intense contractions, Elara was growing tired, the new medic, Ulaz, checked on her hours ago by Zarkon's order and said she was nowhere near ready to give birth. Her cervix had yet to fully dilate. Thankfully she wasn't too distressed, she was with Zarkon in a room specifically used for the births of royal kits. She just wanted her daughter out already. Zarkon was getting really worried about her and the baby. This labor was worse than when she was in labor with Koltor.

"How are you feeling so far?" Zarkon asked out of the blue.

"No. More. Children." She mumbled.

"Ok..." Zarkon mumbled.

She was so tired that she didn't even think she could muster up any strength to push her baby out. About an hour or two later, Ulaz returned and said she was finally ready to start pushing. As she was pushing, she was also squeezing Zarkon's hand. He could see the reflection of the horrors below off another nurse's holopad as she readied to record the baby's health once she was born.

"OH MY GODS ITS LIKE THE GATES OF HELL!" Zarkon suddenly shrieked.

"Oh shut up! You try giving birth!" Elara snapped at him.

She kept pushing until a loud wailing baby was finally heard. Her head flopped back and she released Zarkon's hand and she panted heavily.

"She's completely healthy, and so is the empress." The nurse said, placing the newborn princess on her mother's chest. Elara immediately started crying tears of joy as she looked at her and Zarkon's newborn daughter.

"She's beautiful just like her mother." Zarkon said happily.

"She's so tiny..." Elara sniffled.

"She's perfect, our little Princess Bellatrix." Zarkon said, rubbing the baby full head of hair as she nursed from Elara fir the very first time. They were relieved to have their daughter finally here, Koltor would for sure love baby Bella but who know anyway? After all he was very attached to her while his mother was still pregnant. A lovely big brother he would be.
