Possessive
Zarkon started visiting more frequently and he finally recognized by Allegra as her father. Right now she was screeching bat her father, nobody said they understood yet.
"Alright child! Relax, your mother is trying to make sure she and I don't starve! Including you!" He pleaded with the small four month old on his lap.
She got quiet after hearing that light begging.
"Thank goodness..." Zarkon huffed.
And the wailing continued.
"Why did I accept you?" Zarkon mumbled.
"I heard that!"
"I forgot this wasn't the palace...." He muttered awkwardly.
Soon, Elara walked into the room. Saving Zarkon from turning to insanity.
"She's hungry hand her over." She said as she sat down right next to them.
Zarkon hand Allegra to her mother and Elara let Allegra nurse from her. She could feel Zarkon staring at her.
"Please cut it out." She said.
"I'm not doing anything." He lied.
"You're staring. No go eat." Elara said sternly.
"But why?" Zarkon pouted like a child.
"My house my rules." Elara said.
"Who runs this planet madam?" Zarkon sassed.
"Who has the ability to deprive you of your favorite thing?" Elara asked.
"I will go eat..." He said before bolting to the kitchen.
On his way there he found a small box on the on counter and got curious and opened it to find a ring. He never gave this. Another ring in her house made him suspicious and to him it was a giant no no. He immediately went to ask her about it. He walked to the living room, box in hand.
"What's this?" He asked her, startling her a bit as she worked on getting Allegra to sleep.
Elara sighed, knowing where this is going.
"It was a birthday gift." She said.
"From who?" He asked.
"Thace..." She sighed.
"He gave you a damn ring?" Zarkon growled.
"Zarkon please. Relax." She said.
"Elara he's still into you! I can't calm down!" Zarkon growled.
"But I'm not interested in him. You won me over and you know that." Elara said.
"I know but he's crossing the line Elara! He needs to stay away from you!" Zarkon said angrily.
"He's just a friend. You are far more than a friend, it's obvious. The reasons are endless." Elara said.
"Name some reasons then." Zarkon said seriously.
"Oh I don't know, we got together when I was seventeen, you were nineteen, we got married in three years, went through and got through two chaotic miscarriages, I popped out seven children because you got in there, you know exactly I what I mean, yes we are currently divorced and separated, but look at us now, made up and back together even though the entire empire doesn't know of it yet." Elara said.
"Good point..." Zarkon muttered.
"Are you done being possessive now?" She asked.
"Yes." He said.
"Really?" She asked.
"No."
