In her second to last month of pregnancy, Elara was beyond exhausted, her bump wasn't too too big but it was enough for her to be winded after a couple of steps. She and Zarkon were finishing up the newly updated nursery, they'd be using Koltor's old nursery to make it suitable for there soon to be born baby girl, He would be in a room that connected to her's. Koltor sat in a chair Elara would use for late night feedings as his parents finished up the nursery.

"I think we overestimated how much clothes we would need for her..." Elara said, cringing over the full drawer cabinets and numerous leftover newborn outfits.

"Yes we did." Zarkon huffed while working on putting up the bassinet.

They were super excited to be having a baby girl. When Elara miscarried their very first child, Athena said by her tests and scans it would have been a girl. When they found out they were having another girl, for a brief moment it did bring back the sleepless nights after the miscarriage happened. Thankfully Elara was in her second to last month of pregnancy so they knew everything would be fine.

"And the movement starts again." Elara signed, feeling her baby girl stretching in her belly.

"She's being active again?" Zarkon asked, getting up to feel his daughter move.

He put a hand on Elara's baby bump and waited a couple of moments. After about 10 seconds he felt a strong kick against his hand, it made Elara wince for a moment.

"She's strong and she knows it." Elara chuckled, putting her hand on top of his.

"I'm glad she's already turning out like you." Zarkon said, kneeling down and hugging her belly.

"Are you trying to make me cry?" She asked while chuckling a little bit.

"No I would ne-!"

He was cut off by being kicked in the jaw by his own unborn daughter.

"Oh my gods are you alright?" Elara asked as Zarkon got up while wrapping his draw.

"She's definitely like you..." He mumbled.

"Oh come on don't be so grumpy." Elara giggled.

"I will have to be grumpy after getting kicked in the jaw." He huffed.

Elara rolled her eyes and give him a pack on the job and suddenly he perked up.

"Alright all better back to work." He said and went back to working on the bassinet.

It took them about an hour or two to finish the nursery and by the end it was all worth it.
