Nostalgia
Another two years went by and a lot has happened, another Galran princess came along, her name is Helthena, she's now about three months old. Blaytz got married to that servant, Alfor and Melenor had another daughter around the same time Helthena was born. Zarkon was pretty nostalgic today since today marks the day he married the space kitty eight years ago. Yeah eight years ago. Time flies. He's now thirty and Elara is twenty eight. Elara knew exactly what day it was but she think it mattered so much to him. She woke up one morning to an empty bedside and simply thought Zarkon woke up early and got work, letting her sleep.
She got out of bed, got her robe on, walked through a set of doors which led into Helthena's nursery. She smiled as her daughter babbled happily when she caught sight of her.
"Hi there you!" She cooed as she picked up her daughter to check her diaper.
She saw that she had a clean diaper and instantly got confused.
"Clean diaper? Are you having pooping problems or something?" Elara muttered.
The next thing to catch her attention was her daughter's outfit.
"Sneaky bastard..." She mumbled.
"Indeed." Zarkon said, stepping into the room.
"Last time I checked, I already did what the outfit says eight years ago." Elara said.
"Oh I know but a little nostalgia wouldn't hurt you would it?" He asked slyly.
"Never." She replied.
Then the memories flooded in.
Nine years ago- Zarkon's memory-
Zarkon was very happy with lady friend of one year. Elara was just as happy. Their parents always had a feeling they'd end up together and they were right. Zarkon just finished his round of training and was pretty banged up in the hands after Sendak had a bad day and took it out on Zarkon without Elara knowing. Zarkon met up with Elara in the lounge room and she immediately noticed the scratches on both of his hands.
"What the hell happened to you?" She gasped.
"Sendak had a bad day, I'm fine. Don't worry about it." He insisted.
"Zarkon... You know not to take me for a fool. Those are deep scratches. They're bleeding and bound to get infected." Elara said seriously, folding her arms over her chest.
"I. Am. Fine." Zarkon said.
"No. You're. Not." She hissed.
"Oh sorry. I didn't realize my significant other was a nurse in disguise." Zarkon sassed.
"Fine. Bleed all you want." She said and turned to leave the room.
"No. I'm sorry. Help me out." Zarkon said, grabbing her arm and yanked her into a hold her waist.
"Fine but you need to start letting me help you when you need it." She said.
"Alright I will. Just don't kill your brother." Zarkon said.
"I've been nice for 19 years, he'll live." Elara said with a chuckle.
The two talked crap about Sendak together and left to get Zarkon's scratches taken care of.
End of Zarkon's memory-
Nine years ago- Elara's memory-
Zarkon, 21, and and Elara, 19, were doing their own thing in the training room since they nothing else to do. Elara prefers ambush attacks and Zarkon prefers head on attacks to bring the pain. Zarkon already destroyed 5 metal combat training robots, he went to look at her but couldn't see her anywhere.
"Elara?" He questioned. Elara pounced on him from above and he exclaimed in surprise.
"MOMMY HELP ME!" He squealed.
"That concludes my ambush attack practice." She said and front flipped off of him but he caught her by the waist just as she was going to walk away.
"What did I say about doing that on me?" He growled.
"You said not to do it, but I did so what?" She playfully teased.
"So why'd you do it?" He asked in a grumpy tone.
"Well, because I felt like it." She replied, giggling a little.
"And why is that?" Zarkon asked.
"Because I like it when you're mad. It's amusing." She giggled and she trotted to the exit before being snatching by the tail.
"Why is it funny? Am I not the serious type?" Zarkon asked, kind of annoyed.
"No you are... To other people. You're a softie in my perspective." Elara said.
"Why?" He huffed.
"Because you love me." She said.
"This is the last time I'm letting you do something like that and get away with it." Zarkon said.
"You say that now." She chuckled.
"Yeah and from now on I will." Zarkon said.
"No you won't." She said, laughing as she left the room.
"No I won't..." Zarkon mumbled when she was gone.
"I heard you!"
End of memory-
What a lovely couple. They spent the rest of the day being overly lovey-dovey and making other people uncomfortable.
