Movement and challenges for Zarkon
Elara had hit five months a week ago and Zarkon got increasingly more clingy and possessive. He'd snap at any male outside of the family who so much as looked at her. They were both lying in bed after a long day and Elara was super tired and her back was a little sore, nothing to severe though. She had recently felt small kicks in her belly, that being her and Zarkon's unborn son kicking in there. Zarkon had no idea the baby started kicking and stared at her as she lightly poked her rounded belly.
"What are doing?" He asked curiously.
"I'm trying to get him to kick again." She replied.
"He's been kicking?" Zarkon gasped.
"Yes he has, not too much but he's fairly active." Elara said.
"Can I feel?" Zarkon asked, as if he was a little kid at a candy shop.
"Zarkon... you're the one who put him in there, of course you can." Elara said.
"Damn right I did, and you sure as hell weren't complaining." He said, grinning deviously making Elara roll her eyes.
He placed a hand on her belly and didn't feel anything until he felt the baby kick where his hand was.
"He's pretty strong." Zarkon said.
"He is, not a single doubt about that. I just want him to be here already." Elara said with a sigh.
"So do I, but we only need to wait three more months and he'll be here." Zarkon said, rubbing her bump.
They were eager for their son to be born but had so wait three months for him, luckily they have a lot of patience.
A month later-
Elara and Zarkon now have two more months to go before their little prince is born no they started decorating the nursery that would be connected to their room to make late night wake up calls easier to attend to. Zarkon decided to build the crib they bought all by himself, he didn't want Elara to hurt herself or do any work since her belly grew even more and her due date was closer, he was beyond stressed out.
"WHY DID I INSIST ON DOING THIS MYSELF?!" Zarkon growled angrily as the crib fell apart again.
"Zarkon... let me help you, it'll be easier that way." She insisted as she stopped folding baby outfits and slightly waddled over to him.
"No, no, and no. You're pregnant and I don't want you getting hurt trying to lift something." Zarkon said seriously, giving her a stern glare.
"Zarkon, he's my son too. Don't put all the pressure on yourself." Elara insisted.
"Fine, fine. Help me out if you insist then." He said, eventually giving in.
Elara may be pregnant but she doesn't want to be the lazy parent and got to work.
Thirty minutes later-
"How?" Zarkon mumbled, staring at the completed crib.
"Mother knows best...."
Nursery- this is the best I could find
