It had been about 2 years since the miscarriage and Zaedak has resigned from being Emperor leaving the empire in the control of Zarkon and Elara. They knew exactly what they were doing and were pros at what they do. Lately Elara had been acting a bit strange and Zarkon was getting curious and decided to gently confront her about it. She was in bed about to go to sleep for the night when he started questioning her about her subtle change in behavior.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"I recently went to the medbay and I had a scan, it's best I show you the results." She said and approached her husband and showed him the results of her scan. He saw a tiny mass in her abdomen and heard her heartbeat.

"All I see is a black circle in your abdomen and I hear your heartbeat." He said, giving her a confused look.

"That's not my heartbeat and that's not just mass." Elara said, slightly smiling.

"Not your heartbe- wait a damn minute..." He gasped, finally realizing what she was talking about.

"You're gonna be a father." She said, her eyes welling up with tears of joy. Zarkon flopped onto the bed, smiling like an idiot.

Since the miscarriage, they were questioning about even trying again for a baby, they were scared about miscarrying again but Athena said that her chances of miscarrying this kit were very very small and that this was a safe pregnancy. Zarkon was over the moon, Elara was no different. After miscarrying and days of recuperation she was happy to be expecting a rainbow baby. Nothing could possibly go wrong from here.

The couple went on to share the news with the family the next day and they were all so excited for the new addition to the family. They were very excited to share the news with their group of friends but that would have to take place another day.

(For those who don't know a rainbow baby is a baby who is born after a miscarriage or after the loss of a child)
