After that huge fight Elara was in the lounge room with her newborn, parents, in-laws, and Thace was there after overhearing Zarkon rant himself and refer to Elara as so many unthinkable names.

"I can't take it. I just can't. I've lost hope. I lost him completely, I miss the old Zarkon but I've lost him." She sniffled.

"Elara maybe it's time to let him go." Athena, Zarkon's own mother said.

"Really?" Elara asked.

"Yes. I love you dearly Elara but my son if causing you pain and it's not worth the heartache." She said.

"She's right Elara. As much as it hurts me to say it, it's time to split up, I can't see you get hurt again." Sendak said to his sister.

"It's not good for you, your children, and it will effect Daibazaal sooner or later." Thace said.

"I just don't want to be too impulsive, too quickly."  Elara said.

"Well something needs to be done." Cressida chimed in.

"Elara, my little star, you need to do what's best for you and your children." Helgara said to her daughter.
