Awake
Over the past few days Elara's brain activity has been a mess, as if she was seeing something in her sleep. After the operation she was put in a medically induced coma, however she seemed to be suffering serious nightmares. Ulaz knew something wasn't right. She's no longer is serious danger of dying but she needed to watched closely either way so that Zarkon wouldn't kill somebody if something did happen to her.
Ulaz was left with no other choice but to wake her up from the coma and she'd feel serious abdominal pain when she does wake up.
Ulaz had Zarkon come in so that he'd calm her down when she wakes up.
"Well?" Zarkon asked as he sat right next to the medbay bed she laid in.
"She should be waking up shortly." Ulaz said.
"Will she be in any pain?" Zarkon asked.
"Unfortunately yes." Ulaz sighed.
"How bad?" Zarkon asked.
"Very but I can and will give her something for it to subside." Ulaz said.
Zarkon was about to say something when Elara suddenly stirred and exhaled heavily as her eyes slowly fluttered open. Of course Zarkon was the first face she saw.
"Zarkon? What h-happened?" She asked tiredly.
"There was an explosion on Feyiv a week ago, you almost died Elara. You're safe now." Zarkon said, not giving the full details so she wouldn't freak out.
"How long have I been out?" She asked.
"A whole week." Ulaz chimed in.
"An entire week? What happened to me?" She asked, taken aback by Ulaz's response.
"The blast was so powerful that it launched a shard of debris into your abdomen." Zarkon said bluntly.
"What?!" She gasped.
"I brought you on here to calm her down not scare her." Ulaz huffed, glaring at Zarkon.
"I can't lie to her!" Zarkon said.
"I should've brought Thace." Ulaz sighed.
"Excuse you? He is the last person I want anywhere near her!" Zarkon growled angrily.
"Can we not do this right? I'm in pain." Elara huffed.
"You're right. I'm sorry." Zarkon said.
"I'll give her medicine to sooth the pain and once it takes, you can take her with you to get some rest." Ulaz said.
Zarkon nodded and held her hand while Ulaz gave her the medicine. After a little while, she was in less pain and Zarkon carefully took her to their bedroom, minding the bandages wrapped around her abdomen.
They chatted for a bit before she fell asleep, clinging to him in bed. She's been through so much and always manages to pull through.
