Elara woke up in her quarters one morning, well rested and energetic as usual. She stretched and felt something cold around her neck and felt a necklace on her.

'How the hell can somebody 10 feet tall be so damn stealthy...' she thought to herself.

She got up, changed into her casual and and when she saw what was her dresser she squealed in terror. Zarkon burst through the doors and panicked.

"What's wrong? Speak woman!" He yelled.

"That!" She said, shuddering in disgust and pointed to her dresser.

On the dresser, he saw the engagement ring he purposefully placed there with it's box and saw Elara's worst fear sitting on it. A centipede.

"QUIZNACK! CURSE YOU! YOU HIDEOUS, DISGUSTING LITTLE PEST! YOU RUINED MY ENTIRE PLAN DAMN IT!" Zarkon raged and flicked it onto the floor and stomped on it. Once he took a deep breath he turned to face Elara.

"Are you alri-"

"What plan?" She asked.

"Oh... That plan. It's nothing." He lied.

"You were going to propose weren't you?" She asked, grinning because she knew the truth already.

"No I was not." He huffed, denying everything.

"You weren't going to propose?" She asked again, inching closer.

"Please don't say it three times." Zarkon sighed.

"You weren't going to propose?" She asked, hitting him with lovey dovey eyes.

"Fine! I was going to propose but it all got ruined by that LITTLE DEMON!" He growled.

"Zarkon... I know but you're upset that it didn't work out your way or how you pictured it. But it'll be memorable when you let me say what I have to say." Elara said.

"Go ahead and say it." Zarkon mumbled.

"I would have always said yes no matter how you would have done it. Now if you're going to ask again, I'll say yes." Elara said.

"You would?" He asked, quite frankly he was shocked.

"Yes of course. I do love you. You know exactly how to make me happy and my parents like you so you're practically all set." She said.

Zarkon sighed in relief and picked up the box and ring from the dresser, got down on one knee, holding her left hand.

"Well then, in that case... Will you be my headache for the rest of my life?" He asked.

"Of course I will." She said, and finally, he stopped internally screaming and slid the ring onto her finger and started celebrating in his mind instead.

'HAHA I'VE BLOODY DONE IT! I'LL LOVE RUBBING THIS IN RAZOR'S FACE!"

The two were suddenly startled when they heard two specific women practically crying.

"Awww!" Athena and Helgara sobbed.

"My daughter is no longer a baby..." Vorak sniffled, yes, he was crying.

"My boy did good." Buloc said, grinning proudly.

"So can I plan the wedding?" Zaedak asked.

"No!" Zarkon and Elara said in unison.

"Can I then?" Sendak asked.

"Even bigger no." Zarkon said, Elara nodded in agreement.

Today was the day of tears for both pairs of parents. You put those tears all together and you get Niagara falls.
