A massive fight
A week after the dreadful day, Zarkon, Elara, and the kids were on Altea like everyone else was. Elara and the kids stayed together with Melenor, Gnedra, Trigel, two year old Allura, one year old Romelle, and four year old Bandor. Zarkon was with the guys somewhere in the castle. The ladies felt awful for Elara and Zarkon, everyone did. This was their second miscarriage and it hit them harder than the first one did. Neither one of them were themselves ever since that day, Zarkon was more silent and Elara was emotionally drained most of the time.
"Do you need anything Elara?" Melenor asked, hoping there was something she can do to help her friend.
"No I'm fine." She mumbled.
"Elara... please. There has to be something we can do." Trigel pleaded, Elara was practically a sister to her.
"I don't think you can reverse a miscarriage." Elara said.
"She's hurting. Not physically but emotionally." Gnedra said sadly, side hugging Elara to comfort even it didn't do much.
"I can't help but blame myself." Elara sighed.
"It's not your fault. It isn't Zarkon's fault either. You both just need time to heal. There's always light at the end of every tunnel." Melenor said.
Elara was indeed hurting. She never thought she'd miscarry after three normal pregnancies, yes her pregnancy with Zanthea was rocky but Zanthea was born healthy. It broke her heart to lose another baby. Zarkon was no different, he was with the guys and he blamed himself too.
"I put her in that position. It's my fault she had to endure what she went through." Zarkon said, angry at himself.
"Zarkon. These things are not things anyone is at fault for." Gyrgan said.
"He's right Zarkon. You're not at fault and neither is Elara." Alfor said.
"On the bright side, you have four healthy children and Elara is physically healing, you both need time to heal the emotional wounds." Coran chimed in.
"Or you can always try again." Blaytz said. Bad choice of words.
"I'm sorry. What did you say?" Zarkon hissed.
"Here we go..." Gyrgan muttered.
"It's been a while, I thought you two would be over already. Apparently not. As a certain elf would say there's always light at the end of the tunnel." Blaytz said.
"You expect us to get over something traumatic that only happened a week ago? Have you not comprehend what you're trying to say in front of me?" Zarkon asked, growing frustrated with everything that's been happening.
"Come on Z man don't be so bitter." Blaytz said, hoping to lighten the mood.
The fighting and then exploded. The ladies heard the screaming and yelling all the way from the other side of the castle. Elara knew the infuriated yelling was from Zarkon and had Trigel watch the children and she, Melenor, and Gnedra scurried in the direction of the commotion.
"What the hell is going on? We can all hear you from the side of this massive castle?!" She asked.
"This insensitive blue bastard keeps calling you and I bitter about not getting over losing our child!" Zarkon growled, his eyes were glowing in a fit of fury.
"Really Blaytz?!" Gnedra hissed.
"Surely it can't be that bad!" Blaytz said.
"Oh dear gods..." Elara mumbled.
"Can't be that bad?! Have you ever seen your significant other bleeding so heavily, experience cramps so bad she's bawling her eyes out while hyperventilating as she begs you to help her as you know you can't do anything to help, also be bedridden because of the pain, oh and also have you had to console after being told your unborn child is deceased AGAIN?! Our very first child was deliberately murdered by a jealous psychopath, and then in the second miscarriage, she suffers a medical complication where her body aborts the child against her will! You have the nerve to stand here and tell us to get over it!" Zarkon roared at Blaytz, shockingly in the midst of his rampage his eyes watered remembering the day his eldest child was killed nine years ago before they were even born.
By now Elara shedding tears of her own. Zarkon had a hold around her shoulder, not needing to look at her to know she was silently crying. By the end of dispute, Blaytz regretted everything he said and Zarkon had to leave to avoid hurting Blaytz right there, without another word Zarkon, Elara, and the kids left Altea.
