After another two weeks, Elara's pregnancy was progressing well, she was only two months and a half along and Zarkon was already super protective and would growl at anybody he didn't like when they were anywhere near her. Elara was relaxing with her mother and in-laws while Zarkon, Zaedak, and Vorak worked. Ever since Buloc retired, Zarkon took his rank as General very seriously. Elara had duties of her own but Zaedak wanted his niece to not stress herself because she's pregnant and let her have time off.

"So how's the baby treating you?" Buloc asked.

"They've been treating me very well. I'm just always hungry all the time." Elara said.

"She's a fair one already." Helgara sighed.

"She? What if it's a boy?" Athena asked.

"If it's a boy I'd love the child anyway." Helgara said.

"What do you think it'll be Elara?" Buloc asked his daughter-in-law.

"I'm alright with anything. Boy or girl, it doesn't matter to me. As long as the baby is healthy." She said.

They had a nice talk for hours until she started cramping and her back started to hurt very badly. Helgara was the first to notice her daughter's discomfort.

"Elara? Are you alright?" She asked.

"No... I'm cramping." She quietly groaned.

The medic in Athena kicked in and she made her way to Elara.

"What's wrong, where are you hurting?" She asked.

"My back is killing me a-and I'm cramping." Elara said, she was panicking because she knew this wasn't normal in pregnancy. She was only 10 weeks in, she couldn't be cramping this early.

"That's not normal. Buloc help me get her to the medbay. Bring that drink of water too, something's not right here, Helgara keep her calm." Athena ordered as if she was the boss here.

Once they got Elara to the medbay after she unexpectedly started bleeding, her pain only got worse, Helgara had to hold her daughter's hand as Athena did her thing. She found trace of abortion meds in the water given to Elara. She immediately knew they were put into the water by someone, Zarkon and Elara undoubtedly wanted to keep their child even though they weren't trying for a baby.

"Buloc go get Zarkon right now!" Athena ordered.

"What's wrong with her?!" He asked frantically.

"She's just had a miscarriage! Go get Zarkon, she needs him with her!" Athena said seriously.

"She's just had a what?!" Helgara gasped.

"She's miscarried. I can't find the baby in her uterus at all. The pregnancy is lost..." Athena said sadly.

Elara's heart shattered instantly. She wanted her baby so much and now it's gone. She just started bawling her eyes out of as her mother comforted her to the best of her ability. Zarkon soon barged into the room with Buloc, Sendak, and Vorak. The first thing he saw was Elara crying hysterically.

"Elara? What happened? Talk to me." Zarkon panicked.

"I-I lost the baby." She sobbed.

"What? Mother?" Zarkon asked looking to his mother who frowned sadly at him.

He was lost for words and hugged Elara as she bawled her eyes out. Athena then started explaining the reasons for Elara's miscarriage.

"There were traces of abortion meds in her water, somebody deliberately gave her them. I think we all know exactly who it was." Athena said.

"Razor..." Vorak hissed.

"That bastard will pay!" Zarkon roared and stormed out of the room, ready to kill.

Once he found Razor it was on sight. He grabbed him to the throat and hurled him into a wall.

"You murdered my unborn child! You will pay!" Zarkon growled, grabbing Razor by the throat and not letting go.

Nobody would stop him, Zarkon was going to be a father, but Razor murdered the unborn kit out of jealousy.

That day, Razor was ended by Zarkon in the efforts of avenging the child he and Elara lost. Zarkon was then left to comfort Elara who was devastated, never did she get to feel her baby kick, stretch, nothing... She cried herself to sleep that night, Zarkon was no different... The two would have been parents but they lost their child due to somebody else's jealousy, they both cried themselves to sleep.
