Day 1: The first Vision

"Ulani? Wake up sweetie." A soft voice woke me up from my sleep.

"I'm up." I whisper as I sit up and see my mom opening up my curtains on the window.

"You ready for school?" My mom asked as she sits on my bed. "I know it's the first day but I bet junior year could be really good for you!"

"How? Everyone is still going to know me, everyone will still remember what I had to go through every year. They'll still think I'm crazy." I mumbled as I got out of bed.

"Honey, I know its hard and we've moved schools all the time for your sake but maybe staying here will be good." My mom smiled softly.

"I literally only have one friend." I deadpanned.

"And that's good! You can get more friends this year, plus I saw a moving truck next door when I woke up so maybe you'll befriend the neighbors." My mom walked out my room. "They have two boys."

"Shouldn't I be friends with girls?" I sighed.

"Aren't you friends with Hyunjin? He's a boy." My mom scoffed.

"Yeah but he doesn't count, he's my best friend since freshman year." I explained. "I want to make friendships with girls, Hyunjin doesn't like going to the mall and having spa days."

"Just- Try to befriend them... Please?" My mom asked.

"I'll try." I replied as I closed the door to my room and began to change.

It was hard enough that I'm weird, befriending men isn't what I want on my list before graduating. I hate men, Hyunjin was an exception because when we first met he mentioned he was bisexual (with a preference towards men) and he didn't try anything weird with me. I'm afraid of men.

My dad also left my mom long before I was even born so maybe that could be it?

I don't know, I just hate the thought of talking with boys or being friends with them. I don't trust them, I can only trust Hyunjin.

He was so nice and sweet, he takes care of me and doesn't think I'm weird at all. I remember when there was a bad thunder storm he would stay in bed with me and help me fall asleep.

I don't think I could survive high school without him.

"Ulani! Hyunjin is here!" I can hear faint voices from the other side of my door.

I smiled as I look at myself in the mirror, I look plain which meant I look normal. I can blend on with the others right?

I walked downstairs and see Hyunjin eating breakfast with my mom.

"Lani!" Hyunjin's eyes lit up as he got up and hugged me tight. "Are you excited for junior year?"

"Sure." I sighed as I hug him back. "Just stay by my side and I'll be good."

"I will, but let's make some new friends! I hear there's a new neighbor." Hyunjin wiggled his eyebrows at me.

"Ugh! Not this again, mom did you drag him into this?" I sighed and sit at the table to eat my breakfast.

"No, I just merely mentioned it to him because he saw them.." My mom winced.

Hyunjin sat next to me and pat my back. "Don't worry, I'll make sure to scan them for any negative intentions."

"Scan them? What are you a robot?" I snorted and looked at Hyunjin with goofy eyes.

"And what if I am a robot?" Hyunjin argued and turned away dramatically.

"Come on you drama queen." I finished my cereal bowl and got up. "Let's go to school."

"Alright!" Hyunjin ran after me out the door as my mom said her goodbyes to us.

Hyunjin drives us to school in his car most of the times, he didn't like taking the bus and neither did I so he volunteered to take me everyday.

It was just the two of us! Until now.

"Hello!" The neighbor came outside just as we did. "Are you heading to school?"

"Um.." Hyunjin turned to me before turning to my neighbor. "Yes! Do you go to Rosemont High School?"

"Yes actually! I'm Chan." The boy gets closer to us and extends his hand. "Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too! I'm Hyunjin." Hyunjin extended his hand and shook Chan's hand.

Chan then looks at me with a radiant smile. "Hello! What's your name?"

He goes to extend his hand to which I back away and get behind Hyunjin. I look to the ground in shame, I just can't deal with this today.

"Oh- Sorry she's just a little shy- Ulani- Shake his hand!" Hyunjin turned around and scolded me.

"Please don't- Okay fine I will!" I groaned quietly and came out from behind Hyunjin.

"Hi. I'm Ulani." I mustered up the courage to look Chan in the eye and shake his hand.

That was until.. Woah.

"I'm Artemis." The girl said and points a gun at the blonde haired guy standing in front of her. "And you are?"

"Christopher. Or you can call me Chris for short." He replied with a chuckle. "Do you want to fight this out?"

"You think you can take me down Chris?." She smirked. "You can try,"

"Oh yeah?" He smirked back as he plunged a knife into her arm which made her instantly collapse on the floor.

"You... Dick." The girl whispered as she shot her gun to his leg which caused him to fall down with her.

"Fuck, you just don't give up." Chris shrieked in pain.

"Never." She smirked as they made eye contact again before passing out...

"Ulani? Are you okay?" Hyunjin shook me.

"Huh?" I was suddenly on the ground with Chan and another boy surrounding me.

"You were spaced out until you fell to the floor, are you okay? What happened?" Hyunjin was worried and handed me his water bottle.

I took his bottle and drank it, I was so thirsty for some reason. What the hell happened?

"I think I... I think I might've just been dehydrated." I said as I stood up. "We need to get to school!"

"Are you sure you're okay? I don't want you fainting in the halls today." Hyunjin reassured.

"I'm fine. Can we please go?" I asked as I opened the passenger door to his car.

"Okay.. Well Chan and his brother Changbin are coming along, they'll be in the backseat." Hyunjin informed which caused me to freeze as I get into the passenger seat.

"Oh.. Okay." I reply quietly as I get into the car, avoiding eye contact with Chan.

He was so weird, I didn't like him or the vibe he was giving me.

Was he like some sort of demon or bad luck?

Hey guys! It's been a long time since I've published a new book and I hope you guys are ready for this new book I'm so excited for the next chapters and the future of this book, this is inspired by a BL actually and it's called "Until we meet again". Honestly it's an amazing concept and truly has made me cry, I have actually get to finish it since I've watched it over 2 years ago so it's not so fresh in my memory but I've branched out.
