Untitled Part 7

I do not own Naruto.

Tajima watched his son carefully, the teen was pacing a hole in their dining room floor for whatever reason. His glance drifted over to Neji who was just as stressed. He had watched all of these boys grow into fine young men, but it seemed they still needed some coaching when it came to them talking about their feelings and things of the sort. He glanced over to see Izuna staring at Neji once more. He wasn't sure what had been going on between the two but they had become closer over the years. Perhaps he saw some of his cousin in his youngest son and wanted nothing more than to protect him.

His eyebrow twitched as the pacing stopped, then resumed a little bit faster. "Hey! Sit the hell down and tell me what has you in a bind." He snapped, that last nerve getting ruffled for the last time. Madara looked over at him and sheepishly sat down. Neji chuckled and sat down as well. "So what's going on that has you wearing holes in my floor?" he asked and they looked from him to the floor and then back. Madara pursed his lips and began tapping his fingers on the table. His eyebrow twitched at this, but before he could react a wooden spoon came flying from the kitchen and nailed Madara between the eyes.

Tajima withheld a snort at this as he watched Madara yelp and began holding his forehead. "Dammit!" Madara snarled and yet again Madara received a hit, although this time it was from Tajima himself. The panic set in the moment he felt Aurora's flaring chakra from the other room. "Are you trying to get us all killed?!" he hissed at his eldest who scowled up at him from beneath his hair. A shiver ran up his spine as the intimidating presence of the matriarch filled the room. Tajima turned to look at her, that fear returning tenfold. He looked back to where the group of teens had begun backing out of the room slowly.

Yet again, Izuna took off in a run and got nailed with the same spoon Madara did. Tajima took this chance to make a break for the front door, as Aurora had been picking her youngest off the floor. Her heated glare landed back on the group of men once more and she released Izuna and he hit the floor with a thump as she rushed for them. "You're all idiots!" she snarled as they made their break for it. Madara ripped the front door basically off its hinges to get out of the house but he had stopped in the doorway for some reason. "Madara move!" he yelped as Aurora closed in on him and Neji. Madara didn't move though and they ended up ramming into his back.

Madara was stronger than he gave him credit for honestly, because instead of toppling him over, they had only made him skid forward a little. He flinched, expecting the hit he was going to get but it never came. He cracked one eye open and looked behind him, to his now diffused wife. Then he looked in front of him to see that Madara's grip had never once left the door frame. He looked around him to see a familiar set of white eyes and he couldn't help the small smile that crossed his lips. If he hadn't been so adept at just listening, he never would have heard the small whisper Madara released.

"Hinata..."

The group made space between one another and Madara finally released the door frame. A small blush coated the young Hyuuga woman's cheeks and he watched as Madara gripped her in a tight hug. Aurora made her way to the front and pulled Madara off of the girl gently. Madara frowned at his mother, but they could all tell she wasn't going to do anything against the young woman. Tajima watched as his wife embraced the young woman, the ripple of chakra that had happened when Madara hugged her wasn't there. Madara could have perhaps been correct when he said that she was bound to him.

"She's so beautiful!" Aurora sobbed as she turned back to the group. The blush darkened on Hinata's face and Madara only smirked. He opened his mouth to make some sort of smart comment, but his mother knocked him over the head and he crouched and held his head once more. Thinking about it, he figured that was why Madara always hit Hashirama. It was their own brand of love, he supposed. Tajima looked over and saw that Hinata was looking behind her, as if waiting for someone.

He motioned for his family to look and sure enough, out of the woods came the Senju. Madara lunged forward with a grin on his lips. "About damn time Hashirama!" he yelled as he rushed to tackle his fellow teen. Tajima rolled his eyes as Madara was taken out with expert accuracy with the same spoon Aurora had taken Izuna out with. "Madara~~" Hashirama sighed as he crouched beside his friend. He looked over to his seething wife, who had caught sight of the white haired Senju woman. Her eyes lit up and she rushed out the door as well.

"Akane!" she called out in a similar tone that Madara had when addressing Hashirama; now he knew where his son got it from. Tajima pinched the bridge of his nose as he watched the white haired woman react in a similar manner. The two women had been rivals for the longest time and they hadn't seen each other in almost ten years. He supposed he would let the two of them bicker amongst themselves as he strolled forward and offered a hand to Butsuma, who shared his exasperation at the antics of their children and wives.

At one point in life, Butsuma and himself had been friends. Butsuma took his hand and he briefly wondered if they could become that once more. He missed his dear friend. He glanced over to Madara and Hashirama, who were now bickering as well. His eyes softened as he looked back to the man before him who had taken his hand once more. They released each others grasp and had the shared look in their eyes. Seemed they both missed the days of their youth.

"So what brings you here, Butsuma?"

Hinata reached to knock on the front door but before her hand could touch the door it was ripped open. She glanced up to see Madara with panic on his features as he tried to make his way out the door. This was when she felt the intimidating presence from within. She cracked a small smile as he caught sight of her, only to grip the door frame tightly and squeeze his eyes shut in preparation for something. She glanced behind him and saw Tajima and Neji rushing down the hall trying to get out of the house as well. Her eyes widened when she saw Neji go down. He yelled a 'Go on without me!' to Tajima who nodded as her cousin vanished into the darkness of the house.

She had also heard Tajima yell for Madara to get out of the way right before he collided with his son. Madara only skidded forward slightly, but it was slightly enough for them to almost be nose to nose. She swallowed lightly and looked up to meet his gaze, she was surprised when he pulled himself away from her to give her a bit of space. "Hinata..." he whispered it so softly it surprised her, but not as much as he did when he wrapped his arms around her tightly. The shock of their contact set that chakra off once more and her heart fluttered.

Why did it have to be him to make her feel these things?

Reality faded back in as he was pulled away from her. She looked up to see the beautiful Uchiha Matriarch studying her. A blush covered her cheeks as the woman grabbed her gently under the chin and turned her face this way and that, just taking in all the details of her face. A small smile crossed the woman's face as she hugged her gently. she whirled on her toes and grabbed Madara by his black shirt roughly. "She's so beautiful!!!" she wailed as she shook her son back and forth.

Hinata blinked up at the woman, who was in all meaning of the word beautiful. 'She thinks I'm beautiful?' she thought softly as she took in the elegant woman's appearance. Her long silky blue black hair reached her waist and shimmered in the light. Her bangs swooped to the left and were held there with a shining silver clip. She glanced from her to Madara and her eyes widened slightly. He looked like his mother, but held the masculine features of his father as well. The woman could be a goddess in disguise, she had seen more often than not the kami taking on human form.

She heard Madara's voice once more, but he was now lunging for Hashirama with a wicked grin. That same intimidating presence shook her to her core once more and she turned to look where it was coming from. Her eyes widened when she saw that it was his mother, a wicked look crossing her features with her hand stretched outward. She followed the stream of disturbed air right to Madara and her eyes widened as she saw the wooden spoon bounce from his head. She swallowed lightly and looked back to the woman.

Remind her not to piss her off... if she was that good with a spoon; she could only guess how strong she was when actually fighting. That presence returned and she watched as the woman rushed past her, a yell of Akane as she did so. The normally somewhat stoic Senju matriarch had a devilish smirk cross her features upon sight of the other woman. Neji finally appeared from the doorway, with Izuna on his back. The moment he saw her though, Neji dropped the young Uchiha with a thud. "Why does everyone drop me~? He whined from the floor and Hinata couldn't help the laugh that escaped her as Neji made his way to her.

He hugged her tightly and she smiled as they made their way away from the group to sit under a tree. "So what brings you all here today?" he asked and she looked up to the sky. "We found out some information on who was truly behind Tobirama's kidnapping." She said and he looked at her oddly. "The hagoromo clan." She whispered softly and he nodded. No on from their time had known anything about the Hagoromo, other than the one they met was the sage of six paths.

"A terrifying foe..." he sighed and she nodded. She looked back to the others and saw they were all discussing this as well. Hinata knew the rinnegan would once more be used against her and Neji and that they needed to prepare for this. Pein had been an absolutely terrifying foe, and this led her to believe that someone from the Hagoromo clan was trying to awaken the Rinnegan any way he possibly could. The two Hyuuga exchanged looks and nodded, they decided they needed to tell the two families of the possibility.

They made their way over to the group and upon seeing the look on their faces all chatter stopped. "What is it?" Tajima asked and she frowned. "Since we are dealing with the Hagoromo clan and not much is known about them, we felt we should let you in on something we know." Neji said and Hinata nodded. "I have a feeling that the reason Tobirama was taken was because someone with sharingan, whether born with it or stole it... I feel like someone is trying to awaken the Rinnegan. It was a devastating doujutsu that requires Indra and Asura's chakra's combined, as well as the person to be a holder of Sharingan." Neji continued and the groups exchanged looks.

"How do you..." "We have seen it before." Hinata said softly and they nodded. They all knew the story of Indra and Asura, so they hadn't needed to go into deeper explanation of that. "So who could be trying to do this?" Akane asked and Hinata shook her head. "I have no idea. I just know that if they succeed it will be devastating. They can decimate an entire area without really trying." She said and flickers of what happened with Pein and Konoha flashed through her mind.

"So I could awaken this?" Madara's voice called out and her chest clenched in fear. Everyone was staring at him now, and not one of them held a friendly look. "You don't want to." She bit out and he just blinked at her. "Why not?" he asked and she glared at him now, even his own family was upset by this line of questioning. He made his way over to her she watched him carefully. "What could be so wrong about me wanting to do this to protect all of you?" he asked and Hinata frowned.

"Because you wouldn't be protecting us... you would only be putting every last one of us in danger." Neji cut in and Madara looked over at him in confusion. "In danger? How? If I can use this ability against them..." he trailed off and Hinata frowned, he meant well but he wasn't understanding. "Because if you do that everyone will come for your eyes... and they will kill anyone and everyone around you." She said and he frowned deeply. "Promise me you wont." She said and he blinked over at her.

"Promise me." She bit out and held a pinky out to him. A small smile crossed his lips and he nodded as he linked his pinky with hers. "I promise." He said and the chakra of all those around him seemed to calm down. She looked around her and slowly the chatter began to resume. Madara was still staring at her his brows furrowed now. She looked over at him and he motioned for her to follow him. She did and he lead her to the small cave she and Neji had stayed in before.

"Tell me something," his voice rumbled through her and she looked up at him shakily. He knew something... he caged her to the wall between his arms and she gave him an unamused look. "What are you and dearest Neji hiding from us?" he asked as he began twirling a finger in the hair that framed her face. This was a different side of him than she had seen since they had come here. He seemed... how could she phrase it? Cunning? Deceptive? Yeah those words fit perfectly. She could see it in his eyes that he was enjoying himself with this little line of questioning.

"And before you say you aren't hiding anything from me, take a look around... have you seen any Hyuuga around here? No, neither have I. I don't think Hyuuga would purposefully allow those special little eyes of theirs to run rampant, now would they?" he said as he continued twisting her hair around his pointer finger. His eyes glowed red in the darkness of the cave and she frowned. Was he trying to cast a genjutsu on her? Or was he trying to intimidate her?

She smiled softly up at him and this seemed to catch him off guard. Her fingers reached up and connected with his cheek gently, her thumb brushing over his cheek bones softly. "Oh Madara..." she whispered as his eyes fluttered shut under her touch and he leaned into her touch. He was captivated by her every touch. "You're so truly brilliant..." she sighed and his eyes opened partially to meet her gaze. "You're so brilliant, but you're also an idiot." She sighed and a smirk crossed his lips then.

"Explain to me how I'm an idiot..." he muttered softly as his knuckles grazed over her cheek softly. "You're perfect... too perfect... You have this effect on me that no on e else in this world has, and yet I'm supposed to just endure it and not be suspicious?" he asked and her heart fluttered, she had to think of something. "I shouldn't be suspicious of this chakra bond we have?" he asked and she frowned as he tangled his fingers in her hair gently. He forced her to look up at him, right into those blaring red eyes once more.

Her heart was racing at this point and she couldn't think of anything to say. "Why are you two here, and what does it have to do with me?" he asked a little more forcefully this time, his fingers not once faltering in their grip of the hair on the back of her head. "I... Madara..." she began and he listened intently. "I'm here for you..." she whispered and his half lidded eyes scanned her face as if searching for the lie. "Madara... I'm here because I want to make sure you and your family are safe... safe from the ones who destroyed our family..." she whispered and those eyes of his spun, however instead of continuing to glow that terrifying red, they faded to black.

"Why me?" he asked and she reached up with her other hand and took his face in both of her hands. "Because... the first time I saw you... I was..." she began and he blinked down at her. "I was enthralled. I had to find out why I was drawn to you..." she whispered and he clicked his tongue and released her hair. "What do you think I'm trying to figure out." He grumbled as he turned away from her. Her heart was racing once more and she swiftly reached to grab his wrist. She pulled him back over to her and he watched her carefully.

"Madara I..." she began and he grabbed the hand that held onto him so tightly. He pulled it from his wrist and slipped his fingers to meld his hands with hers. He pulled her over to him suddenly and she was flush against him. "I may not know what this is... whether you're my soulmate, as Hashirama puts it... or if it's something else..." he sighed and tilted her chin up to look him in the eyes. "I don't want to break it, whatever it is." He whispered softly and her heart thumped in her chest.

He was closing in on her and she was panicking inside. She couldn't move, she was stuck in place and not a muscle in her body would twitch as she watched him come ever closer. Her eyes fluttered shut as she felt his warm breath on her lips, and then... nothing.

She cracked her eyes open to see that he was grinning at her. She was so angry at herself for the sole fact she had desperately wanted him to kiss her. "Eat your heart out... Jerk." He returned to her in a taunting tone and a deep red blush coated her cheeks. How dare he. A glare found her eyes and she fisted her hands by her side. "Don't like how it feels huh?" he asked and she glared up at him, a new fire in her gaze now. "Y-you bloody idiot!" she squealed and sent an empty palm right to his gut.

He flew from the cave and right past Neji, Tobirama, and Hashirama who had just arrived. She stomped out of the cave, a deep red blush on her cheeks and her hands fisted by her side once more. "Come on! We are going home!" she hissed as she drug Tobirama and Hashirama behind her by the wrists. She kicked dirt onto Madara's head as she walked past, a goofy grin on his lips.

"She does like me." He chuckled from the lump on the ground he was, a slight cough escaping him not long after.
