Come on the Otter is Fine
"Ugghhh" I groan as she slowly cracked open her clear blue eyes to look at the world around her. She was at the muddy shore of the lake, wait didn't they.... HOLY CRAP THEY CRASHED THE CANOE!!! "Ok , calm down" Azure told herself as she got up, something was different though she could put her finger on it. "Azure???" questioned a strangely familiar voice from behind her. She quickly flipped around to see an otter with dark emerald eyes staring at her with the same look of confusion on his face as hers. Wait, I know that voice, that's "Jay?!?!?!?!" shouted puzzled at their predicament, for some reason Jay is an otter- wait if Jay is an otter that means..... "Jay?? Am I an otter too?!?!?" yelled Azure panicked staring in horror at her brother, who had a similar look on his face."Wait, I'M ONE TOO!!!!!!!!!!!" he yelled terrified. "I'll take that as a yes....." I whimpered back at him.
"So for no exact reason we are otters. Wonderful," Jay stated sarcastically.
"Well- um.... Last one in the water is a rotten egg!" I added not knowing to say and dashed into the cool clear water. I clearly one due to his shock from my declaration.
"Come on in- the "otters" fine" I cheered at him giggling to which he only glared at me back. "Now Azure, this is NOT the time to be playing around," Jay stated back uniformly while staring at her unamused. "You're no fun, is little Jay Jay afraid of some water" I taunt, while playfully splashing at him."Oh it's on" Jay yelled while charging into the water as fast as he can(not very fast due to being on four legs). "Bet I can beat you to that log!!" I rejoiced while pointing to a nearby fallen tree, he just gave me a "really, now is not the time look" and exclaimed"Not important right now, but I totally could beat you."
"Ready??"
"Wait!! This is extremely unnecessary"
"Set?"
"I told you to stop!!"
"GO!!!" I finally cheered and I was off, but something was wrong. When I was already halfway their he had barely gotten started on his way, Jay was struggling to swim in his new body. This was hilarious, when we were humans he would be at the log in a minute flat, but as an otter he can't swim very far at all!"You're doing it wrong" I mimicked at him, after all the teasing Jay deserved it.
"No!! You're just cheating" he shouted desperately
"Jay I'm not the one controlling your body" I stated briefly and with a wink I was off to win our race.
