The week past fast, at the royal tower everything was crazy. Maids preparing and cleaning every single corner of it, the ball room getting designed perfectly and the whole tower shining. Not that the other towers were in a different condition though, they were cleaned and designed perfectly. Many changes were made almost everywhere. Most of the preparations though took place the last day, which was stressful for everyone.

Mer was pacing around her room, she was nervous. Not about what everyone else was though, she didn't really cared about the ball. She would go only because her mother forced her to. Mer was nervous about what happened that night one week ago, when she and Loki were out of the dungeons talking about their fight. She discussed it with him only once, the day after they talked about what that could be but nothing came to their minds. She signed as she realized it was pointless to stress about what happened and focus on something else to distract her mind.

She called one of her maids and sat on the chair in front of her mirror as her maid did her hair. To hours were left until the ball started and she had only showered. After half and maybe more hour Met had perfect curls that were falling to her shoulders, her maid did her make up too and she walked over her closet to pick a dress. She picked her favourite new one, it was a nice gold one which was see through at her collarbone until her upper chest (the one at the cover of the book, that's Mer that night). She put it on and looked at her tiara's, she picked the ancient elemental one Odin had gave her. He was always seeing Mer as his daughter, he was treating her with respect and love which was really surprising from the way he was treating others. She always saw him as her second father and loved him as one. She put on her tiara carefully and smiled at her reflection

She made her way to the ball room, as the ball had started some minutes ago the room was filled with people. The huge doors open to reveal her, all the heads in the room turned to look at her. She looked like a true queen, so beautiful, so powerful, so distant from the world yet she fit in perfectly. Mer made her way down the stairs slowly as all the heads was observing her every move. She was truly magnificent, the moment her feet lied on the floor of the room everything returned back to the way it was before she came in. She got some glares from the girls around her but she didn't even bothered lookingat them.

She approached Loki who was with her parents, Freya and Odin. She smiled and stood next to her father as she did a small bow for Odin and Freya though they told her to stand up quickly. As they said, an elemental should never bow to anyone except God(sorry if you are from a different religion, then put whatever you believe there. If not then just skip this sentence).

"So Loki, why don't you go dance with Mer as I see you haven't found anyone else too interesting." Freya said and chuckled slightly. Loki offered his hand and Mer accepted it gladly as he lead her to the dance floor, he wrapped his arms around her waist and her arms found their way to his neck. They both blushed and smiled as they started into each others arms

"You look gorgeous, the most stunning woman in the room. In whole Asgard if possible" he whispered smiling softly as they moved along with the music.

"Thank you, Loki. You look great too, the most incredible man in that room" she said blushing and smiling. They kept like that, just staring into each others eyes until the song ended. When the song ended they pulled away and blushed but kept their wide smiles on their faces.

Mer wondered around the room and greeted some people. She went to the balcony to look at the night sky, she took in a deep breath and signed happily. After some time she heard screams from the room and rushed inside only to see the most awful sight in the world.

Soldiers running around the room, killing and hurting people to death. She froze in place shocked from the view, when she saw a soldier coming towards her she moved her hand slightly and he set into fire. She walked and tried to past fast by the teriffied crowd. When she saw her mother from the distance she started running towards her, but it was already too late. A soldier killed her with his sword and Mer froze. She just screamed and roots grew from the floor as they struggled him. She turned around only to see her dad's dead body at tge entrance and the killer leaving. She saw his half face and chased him, she chased him until the portal of the world's (I don't remember the name. Sorry). She finally saw his full face, he was one of Odin's most trusted soldier along with one more and some people she didn't know. They were discussing about a plan they had, she slowly got out from her hidden spot to go and find Loki until one stopped her

"Well, well what do we have here? Little Mer is spying on us? And is going to inform someone?" The one asked smirking as he held her tightly enough to bruise her. The other four laughed and looked at each other

"She saw us, we can't let her just go. She will tell someone and we are screwed" another one said, her word mattered a lot due to her powers and her legend

"We can't kill her. She is the elemental, you know the legend" she the other. The last thing she remembered was them whispering something before a rock hit her head and the last thing she saw was a portal opening and herself falling into it.
