A/N: First of all, trigger warning. Secondly, I am not promoting self harm or suicide. Thirdly, this chapter is going to be pretty sad, so if you can't handle it any more font read it. You don't have to. The story is over. This is two years after the war. Read at your own risk. I'm serious.

Hey beautiful... (Felix)
Hey handsome... I missed you.

/Unknown POV/

You're probably wondering who I am. All in due time...

It has been two years since the battle of Imyrth. Echo, Oliver, Celine and Felix were named heroes. They even have a statue now. The base of it has written on the name of everyone who died in in the battle.

No one was forgotten.

Imyrth rose back to power pretty fast considering all the destruction inflicted upon it.

Echo still didn't remember. The others hadn't tried to remind her anything and, on the contrary, tried to respect her decision.

In those two years she met someone else. They were pretty happy together, and even though she was happier with Felix, she didn't remember that.

Oliver and Celine were pretty happy together too. They loved each other a lot.

Ari and Damon were getting married the following month.

Everything was kind of normal. They all tried to forget what had happened with Amon and Echo had done the best job so far.

Speaking of Echo, she was going out with her boyfriend, Tyler, after school.

He did something she hadn't expected him to do; he kissed her. Suddenly, memories she couldn't recall started flooding in her mind. She pushed Tyler away.

«What's going on?» he asked worried. He really liked her.

«Uh... I don't know. I'm sorry. I have to go.» she rushed. She was getting a headache.

She ran home. Her head felt like it was going to break in two.

«Is everything okay?» her brother asked her.

«Yeah... Just a headache. I'm going to take a nap.» she lied.

All the memories were of the same boy. She thought he was familiar, but she didn't remember him from anywhere. He was in all her memories from Imyrth, but she didn't remember he had been there at all.

«What the hell is wrong with me?» she asked herself. She locked the attic door behind her.

A memory without him flashed. The attic. She had hidden something.

«Camera.» she panted. She rolled under her bed and took out a loose plank.

Underneath it she found a video camera that was as much of a mystery as the boy in her visions.

She turned it on and played the video.

«Echo, are you alright?» she heard her brother from outside. «What are you watching?»

She didn't reply.

«Fine. If you need anything come talk to me, I'll be in the kitchen.»

The video showed Echo, crying. She didn't remember any of that. It was dated from around two years before. It warned her to hide the camera and not touch it again.

She ignored the warnings and played the oldest video.

She was with that boy again. They were making stupid faces at the camera. The videos played one by one. The boy, Felix, was in every single one of them.

He made her laugh a lot. She hadn't realised she was crying.

She started to remember. The memories rushed in faster.

It had been two hours. She was still watching. She was running out of videos.

One had been recorded by her brother. She and the boy were drunk and singing really bad on a stage.

The next one showed her, Felix, Oliver, Celine, Ari and Damon doing the same. All together.

«Why don't I remember any of that?» she asked herself. «What happened to him?»

«To our last night alive!» her video self yelled. The boy kissed her.

«That's enough, no more drinks for you two. Where did you even get them?» video Oliver laughed.

It was followed by a picture with all of them. There were three other people she didn't recognize, two guys and a girl. The one guy had long orange hair and the other short green ones. The girl had pink hair.

They were unmistakably from Imyrth.

She spotted herself on Felix's back, pecking his cheek. Oliver was hugging Celine and Ari was in Damon's arms. The girl with the pink hair was making a funny face behind the two other guys.

«Alcyone. Carl. Benny.» their names came to her.

She played the last video. The one before the warning.

She was dragging Felix along in the camp they stayed before the fight. She didn't remember the fight clearly. It had lots of blanks.

She started to remember. The blanks filled in.

«What have I done?» she muttered as realization struck her.

There were three knocks on the door. She started to break down.

«Echo? What's going on? Open the door?» a panicked Oliver could be heard from the other side.

«Why don't I remember stuff. Things are coming back, but why didn't I remember them?» she asked him.

«Wh- how? Echo, just open the door. I will explain everything to you.» Oliver yelled. He was scared. He knew Echo was unpredictable when she was hurt.

«What happened to Felix? I remember everything apart from that. Where is he?» she asked.

«Open the door! I'll tell you everything. Just let me in.» Oliver was banging on it.

«What's going on?» Celine's voice could be faintly heard.

«She's asking about Felix.»

«Dammit! Echo, open the door!»

She couldn't hear them anymore. She had turned the music on loudly.

She took a couple bed-sheets from the closet and started tying them together.

She remembered everything and the guilt was overcoming her.

How could she forget?

Oliver, on the other hand was panicking even more. The last time his sister had played music loudly she had forgotten all about her boyfriend who died to save her.

This time the music was louder.

As if Echo Waters didn't want the last things she heard in her life to be her brother and her best friend begging her to open the door.

Soon Ariadne and Damon joined in. The former was pregnant, but didn't know it yet.

The more they yelled, the louder Echo turned the music. Oliver was terrified. More than ever. Even setting out to war didn't scare him more than losing his sister. As far as he was concerned Echo and Ariadne were the only family he had left. His mom wasn't considered part of the family anymore. She was an outcast in her own house.

The staff had learned to ignore Jennifer Waters. They only listened to the kids, Ari and Damon.

Oliver decided he was not going to sit behind and do nothing. He tried to break the door down.

Celine blew it open with her powers after he failed.

It was too late.

His sister was dangling by the ceiling, the bed-sheet wrapped around her neck.

«No!» he screamed.

Ariadne brought her hand to her mouth as tears started falling from her eyes. Damon shook his head. He was tearing up.

Celine ran to the room behind Oliver and turned the music off. She was pale.

Oliver got his sister out of the bed-sheets and hugged her one last time.

He let the tears fall as he sobbed.

The funeral took place the next week. Jennifer didn't really care, but went so as not to ruin her image. The others were devastated. Tyler was crying, but it was nothing compared to Oliver.

Just as the remaining gang had started to get over the war and Felix's death, Echo killed herself. She had even left a note for her brother. It only had eight words on it.

I love you.

I am sorry.

I remember.

There were still people dying from the battle, even two years later. People that couldn't take it anymore.

These people weren't weak. They were strong.

But no one should ever give up like that. Not ever. No one deserves to go that way, everyone deserves to keep moving. There are people there that care about you. People that you leave behind.

Think about them. They can help you. There is always someone that cares.

Well, unless you're Amon Brandon or Jennifer Waters.

As to who I am, I am the homicidal shapeshifter.

The evil mastermind behind it all.

One of the five people present at the death of Wendy Heather.

When the earthlings start swarming in...

I'm the one that planned everything.

And innocents start falling leaving nothing but pain...

Can you guess who I am?

Gloom will loom over and death will fall...

No one ever suspects the dead.

The final battle will begin and they will lose all...

The dead are dead. Not suspects.

The Elementalists will never rise again...

The dead don't plot wars.

And Imyrth will be in disdain...

Who could I be?

Everything's fair in love and war, but...

I'm the one and only William Crate.
