PROLOGUE

Winona Arrow had nearly been killed by a severe car accident, one so severe that she had ended up in a coma for two whole years.

It was scary for her, to come out of the coma and in to a world that she knew that she would never be able to see as the same, but she didn't have a choice.

In that two years, she had lost her parents, her job and her home so she would be relying solely on her closest friends to get her through what was the hardest and darkest part of her life.

They knew that Winona would not want to return to the city that she had previously called home, so they put everything on the line for her. They gave up their jobs, they sold their homes and they walked away from everything that they knew in order to be with her and help her through her recovery.

They decided as a group to travel across the world, and in order to regenerate their best friends life, they tried new things, like going to Formula One races.

Where they met Charles Leclerc.

He found her lack of impulse control rather funny, and whilst he had no idea about her or her life, he decided to try and get to know her, assuming that she was a fan.

Whereas she had never heard of Formula One or Charles Leclerc before in her entire life.

Even though he only got pieces of the puzzle that was Winona, he was determined to try and get her to open up in the hope of becoming her friend, and managed to notice small things about her that filled more pieces of the puzzle than what she had told him.

It was part of what made him fall in love with her.
