I read through some of Michael’s book on the weekend. No answers seemed to arise about his disappearance and my worrying increased with each minute that passed.  I tucked the book under my bed in a box with my old school books and sighed in frustration. My eyes started to water and I wiped them angrily. No, I’m not going to give up on him. No way. So instead of crying, I grabbed my pillow and shoved it to my face and screamed.

“Quit your tantrums girl” a voice spoke.

I jumped and fell off my bed. Rubbing my sore head I looked up to see a young girl with strawberry hair and eyes to match. She wore a blue gown and was sitting promptly on the end of my bed. She was so young and had elf ears.

“Holy mother of crap! Who the hell are you?! How the hell did you get in here?!” I demanded and stood up with as much dignity as I could muster.

“My name is Josephine and I suggest you show more manners unless you don’t want to know of your boyfriend’s whereabouts.”

She looked sternly at me.

“You know where he is? Is he okay?”

“Yes he’s fine. He decided to visit my realm and is now currently staying at my castle as a guest.”

“Why did he come to your realm?”

“Such matters are not going to be discussed. I am here to take you to him so you may stay and be a guest as well. Then when we have discussed everything needed, you may come back here and all will be as it was. I’m sure he will explain things to you there.”

My heart thumped with joy as I thought about seeing him. I wasn’t sure if I could fully trust this mysterious girl but if she knew where Michael was and was offering me the chance to see and talk with him, then I would take it.

“How exactly do we get there?”

She smiled and held out her hand.

I held onto her hand and the world around me went dark.
