We rounded a corner and a metal door stood tall. He guard said that this was where Michael was staying. With pure excitement, I twisted the door handle and the door squeaked open.

I looked inside and saw a girl holding Michael up. My attention immediately went to Michael. He was bruised and bleeding from almost everywhere on his body and had a black eye.

“Michael!” I screamed, but before I could run to his side, one of the soldiers held me strongly back.

The other guard hit the girl in the head with his staff and she feel to the ground along with Michael. The guard then called for his comrades and another 3 guards entered the room.

Two of them picked up the girl as she screamed and kicked violently and dragged her out of the room. The other two guards picked up Michael and placed him back in his chains.

“No! What are you doing?!” I fought the guard who was holding me.

“Silent girl” they then shoved a cloth into my mouth and made it impossible for me to talk anymore.

Then then put me in chains across the room from Michael. This can’t be happening.

The guards left after giving Michael one final blow to the stomach and chuckled. I stared helplessly at him as they did so. I started to cry. Michael looked up weakly.

“I’m fine April…. Really…. I’m… fine. I’ll get us…. Out of this… I promise.”

I kept crying silently, knowing that things weren’t looking good for the both of us.
