Chapter 1
Ivan wandered the halls of the museum, already knowing much from the science exhibit as he visited and read the same interesting information provided almost everytime he came, but the reason, the reason this time is much more interesting, they had decided to add a new feature, something inhumane to the world he knew, something that could hold a possible danger of ever in contact with another human being. It intrigued him so. He looked around at the same exhibits, seeing a sign that showed the new exhibit. He felt a bite on his leg, flinching and looking down as he saw a roach crawl out of his pants and scurrying away. Roaches never bite.. do they? The roach he saw seemed to be running to the exhibit as well, and he decided to follow it as quickly as he could. Some people looked at him oddly, continuing their stay as he finally reached a room with a closed door. The roach climbed beneath the door, continuing its way to whatever it was it was heading to, possibly home. Ivan looked at the door, a danger sign shining brightly with a "employees only" sign just below it. He looked around, seeing people looking away from where he was standing. He hesitated and reached for the door, opening it slowly and looking around again. He was quite surprised no one had seen him, nor even heard him when the door opened quite loudly. He took a deep breath and walked in, closing the door behind him. The room was dark, and he searched for a light switch, feeling the wall and carefully stepping around. He felt some type of mask, like one used to prevent germs, and grabbed it, putting it on and searching once more. The furthur he went, the heavier the air got. He heard multiple scratching noises as well, sending a shiver down his spine. He found a button and hesitated once more, pushing it. The lights went on, blinding him for a few minutes, the scratching seemed to grow louder as he blinked a few times, seeing a container glowing a strange red, the same roach that bit him surrounding it. There were more of them, and he couldn't speak, the sight of them was absolutely disgusting. The roaches continued to crawl around it, trying to grab the red liquid in a large container, completely encased in a square container. It was odd to see such a display, and the bite began to itch. Ivan slowly moved his foot to scratch the itch, the roaches listening carefully to him as they stopped. The red liquid began to glow brighter, slowly turning white as the bugs turned to him. Ivan felt his heart begin to beat quickly, knowing that he should have stayed outside the door and let the roach go. The red liquid was soon white, then clear, the roaches quickly crawled towards Ivan. His eyes widened and he quickly backed up, running to the door as quick as he could, but every step seemed tiring as the air was heavy. A bug scurried past his foot, causing him to fall harshly onto the floor. He coughed and coughed, the bugs crawling all around him. He squirmed and cringed, the feeling of multiple legs and backs on his bare stomach, back, legs, almost everywhere. They began to pull him back to the now clear jar. He began to yell and scream for any form of help, but the air was suffocating, it was as if he was under water. The lights went off, and the liquid was now glowing in the air, sending a calming aura around Ivan and the roaches. He looked at it in fear, holding onto the mask that covered his nose and mouth, afraid of what it was going to do. The roaches began to bite away at his mask, the air getting closer and closer to him. He shook his head, trying to squirm away from the roaches almost holding him completely down. Oh, how he wished he would have just stayed where he was in the museum, enjoying the unlimited knowledge it could give. He felt his eyes grow heavy, the air almost trying to comfort him as the roaches continued their work. He tried his best to keep his eyes opened, but they couldn't, they had to be closed, they were just too heavy.
He saw a field, an empty field with the sun hugging his body. He didn't know what to do, and everywhere he looked, the vast empty field around him grew. He heard the sound of the ocean, growing closer and closer as he noticed the land sinking. He couldn't speak, he couldn't move anymore, he was completely frozen. The water began to engulf the grass frantically, flowers and weeds drowning in its grasp. He felt his body shake, the water reaching to his feet and quickly rising. He needed to move or do something to break this dream he was having. The water quickly went to his chest, and He felt the pressure of it, squeezing him like two rocks slowly, but quickly, hugging him tightly.
He opened his eyes as the water he dreamt of reached his chin, and his mask had been eaten away, the glowing air beginning to enter his mouth. He couldn't breathe, struggling to move as his lungs burned. The lights flickered and he was soon lifted up slowly, the air taking its time as his eyes began to roll to the back of his head. Tears fell from his cheeks as he knew he was going to die. The roaches continued to squirm around his now floating body, some falling to the floor while others still waited. The air soon entered his body, setting him back down. The roaches quickly scurried away, hiding as they heard the door open. A woman walked to the room Ivan was in with a mask, dropping what she had and quickly caring for him. "Can you hear me sir? Hello?" Ivan stirred slightly, coughing harshly as he was able to breathe again. "How did you get in here?" Ivan slowly opened his eyes, his breath dry as his vision blurred, the woman's voice sounding almost demonic to him. Everything sounded gibberish to him, and it began to frighten him, causing him to act quickly. The woman tried her best, trying to hold him down as his eye were as if an Insects. "S-Sir! S-Stop moving!" Ivan's strength seemed to grow, pushing her off of him quickly. He switched roles with her and held her down, freezing as she stared at him with fear. She could no longer speak, looking into the crimson eye looking down at her. His vision was finally clear and what he saw what he was doing, holding a young woman down.. He wanted to stop, but his body moved on its own, grabbing the woman's neck with a hand, his grasp rough as she gasped, holding onto his hand with her free one. He lifted her head up, his hand still harshly holding her neck. She began to kick her legs, hitting him on the shoulder to try and stop him. A sharp pain began to scream at his jaw as five spider-like legs appeared from his throat, reaching for her. The woman screamed with the remaining air she had, pushing him roughly and screaming as loyd as she could, causing more and more tears to fall. Once the process ended, they pierced into the woman, blood spilling quickly. The woman's corpse twitched as the claws retracted back inside. Ivan blinked, tears beginning to fall as he feasted on the woman, it was disgusting, yet delicious to his taste buds. More people came running in, forgetting about their masks as they froze, seeing the horrendous feast. Ivan looked at them, his mouth bloodied. "Please... help..." He begged, the tears continuing to flow as he forced himself to pull away from the woman, his body burned when he took a step towards them. Almost every one couldn't move, a few taking a step back. "Pl..please.." People acted quickly, only a few staying behind as they charged at him, pinning him down to the floor. Ivan's head hit harshly onto the floor, knocking him out completely. The people who stood behind quickly helped the others, taking him to another place, the room to the new place completely locked, see through, and recorded. One unlocked the door and the others quickly threw him in.
