"Are you sure this is going to work, Namjoon?" Jin asked as he spooned a fork full of spaghetti into his mouth.
Namjoon chuckled, taking a sip of wine. "Have my plans ever steered any one wrong?"
Jin rolled his eyes. "Do we need to recall the plan you had to win me over that lead to you falling into the fountain, in a rented tux, ruining the whole mood?"
Namjoon sighed as I giggled.
"Damn, Joon. How the hell did you end up with Jin after all of that?" Jungkook asked, chuckling as he took a bite of food.
Jin smiled, meeting eyes with Namjoon. "No man had ever gone to such an extent to woo me before. Even if he did screw it up, I was captivated by the overall attempt."
Namjoon's cheeks burned red as he nodded into his glass.
"So," I began, clearing my throat and reaching for Jungkook's hand, feeling him squeeze back instantly. "Back to the real topic at hand. Can we go over the plan once more?"

"Hoseok, please listen to me." I pleaded, even using my puppy dog eyes.
He shook his head. "Taehyung, that's absurd. I'm not going to do that."
I sighed, feeling my shoulders slump. "We're just trying to help you."
"I know you are." He squeezed my shoulder with a hand before he ran a hand through his hair, turning around and sitting down on the sofa. "I just can't allow it."
I pouted my lips, knowing that this was Hoseok's weakness. "B-B-B-But..."
"No pouting! I can't do it, Tae! I'm sorry, but you can just stop wasting your time when we know the answer is no."
I nodded, swallowing the lump in my throat. "O-Okay. I-I'll l-leave you alone about i-it."
He sighed, rubbing the space between his eyebrows. "I'm sorry, Tae. I really am. I just..." his eyes glanced back and forth before they focused downwards. "I'm scared."
I felt my head tilt to the side. "Scared of what, Hobi?"
He swallowed harshly, making me give his hand a squeeze. "Him."
I sucked in a sharp breath, not being able to fully react before the door of his bedroom swung open.
"Jung Hoseok." King Jung grunted, rushing over to his son.
I stood up, slowly backing away, trying to excuse myself from the room. I closed the door, the silence having little time to live before screams were quickly heard, obviously from Hoseok.
I heard a loud crash, making me clench my eyes shut. I exhaled a sharp breath, trying to hold myself back from storming into the room. There was a promise we had made to Hoseok after we told him we knew he was sometimes beaten up by his father. He told us to leave it alone. I couldn't break that promise, as much as I wanted to.
I swallowed the lump in my throat as I started to walk away from the door, heading towards Jisoo's quarters to update her on what Hoseok had said.
