Forty-Six- The Storm
"Look at you, Hoseok! Day two in a row of being outside. You lucky son of a bitch!" Jungkook laughed, clapping me on the shoulder.
I shook my head and chuckled. "I feel like I can breathe again."
Jungkook smiled. "I bet. Okay. Namjoon went into town so it's just me. I'll be walking the perimeter, okay?"
I nodded, Yoongi giving a slight nod also. We started picking more fruits and vegetables from the garden, smiles on our faces and sun on our necks.
Yoongi didn't throw any corn at me this time, which made me both happy and sad. I stood up and stretched my back, seeing Jungkook still walking around the perimeter.
I glanced over to where Yoongi was working, only the next row over in the garden.
"Hey Yoongi?"
He hummed, standing up to meet my eyes a few seconds later.
"Are you okay?"
He frowned, tilting his head slightly. "What do you mean?"
"I mean... yesterday you threw corn at me and were cracking jokes. Today, you're quiet."
He shrugged. "Well, last time I threw corn at you, you threatened me with no sex. And I very much like the sex."
I smacked his chest with a chuckle before he continued.
He sighed. "Don't you ever think about... how we're a little too comfortable?"
Now it was my turn to question his intent.
"I just feel like it's too quiet. I'm probably being paranoid, with my background. I wouldn't worry about it." He cupped my face before pecking my lips. "Although, the golden melanin of your skin is something I would very much like to wake up to every day."
"Oh hush!" I giggled, going back to our gardening.
After a few minutes, Jimin came out and took one of our full baskets inside, bringing it back out once all the fresh produce was put inside. The stranger had become quite helpful, and he eventually explained his farming background.
"Hobi? I'm going to go look for something a little further down, okay? I'll be back in a minute." Yoongi said, giving a soft smile before walking off, no basket in hand.
I shrugged it off as I saw him walking closer to the perimeter, knowing Jungkook would keep a good, watchful eye.
I picked some peaches, humming softly to myself. I saw Yoongi in the distance, wading through a field of flowers. My favorite flowers to be exact. I have tried to go close to them, but have always been held back.
I squinted, seeing a figure in the distance coming out of the forest. I thought it was Jungkook, until I noticed how the figure was walking.
"Oh my God," I mouthed. I dropped the peaches, frozen in the place under the tree as I watched. Yoongi bent over and picked a few of my favorite flowers, turning around to head back, a slight skip in his step.
I waved my arms, already rushing in his direction.
With only a few yards left, I began shouting. "Watch out!"
Yoongi turned around, dropping to the ground, as we have been specifically instructed to do. My eyes scanned the trees, searching for Jungkook, my throat closing up when I didn't see his figure anywhere.
I froze, only a few feet away from the man in front of me, who hovered over my boyfriend. He wore a menacing look in his eyes, and hatred filled the blood in my veins.
"Father." I grunted, watching as said male smirked.
"I finally found you, my son."
