Chapter 50

Jacob's scream caused Billy as well as the rest of the pack to tense up.

Samantha placed her hand on Billy's shoulder for comfort knowing that he was the one going through the worst at the moment. It had been an hour or two since Carlisle was taking care of Jacob's injuries. Samantha's brother was in there with them making sure Jacob doesn't wolf up and attack the doctor. The hybrids ankle had healed on its own within a few minutes. As for Dani, she had stayed with the Cullen's under Esme's care.

A familiar red truck that drove up in front of the black's house caught the hybrids eye. Groaning in annoyance, Samantha had hoped that the Swan wouldn't show up. It's not because of what had happened between the human and the hybrids imprint. It was because of what Bella had done to Edward. Samantha knew Edward more then he knew himself. Even though he had told her through the phone that he didn't care, Samantha knew it still affected him in the inside.

"Hey, is he-" Bella was cut off when another loud, booming, painful scream came from Jacob.

Billy grabbed a hold of the hybrids hand and squeezed it. Using the hand that Billy wasn't holding, Samantha patted his shoulder,"He'll be fine Billy. If he can handle me, he can handle this." Despite the fact that he was a mess at the moment, he couldn't help but let out a chuckle at Samantha's comment.

"Doc is breaking his bones."

"If he hadn't butted in I could of taken that hit-"

"Oh give it a rest Leah," Paul interrupted.

The door opened and out came Samantha's brother, Carlisle following behind him. "The worst is over. He'll be alright. I gave him some morphine but his body temperature will burn it off soon," he explained.

"Thank you," Billy held out his hand making Carlisle shake it.

"He's asking for you," Carlisle said to Samantha.

The hybrids eyes glanced over at the human who had on a poker face. The teenager let out a sigh,"You can go Bella." Without thanking the hybrid, Bella darted towards the door with no hesitation.

Samantha knew that she should of gone but she wasn't going to be a bitch to the human. She wasn't the type of girl to do that. It also gave the hybrid some time to think about what she was going to say to Jacob. Jacob still doesn't know that Samantha knows about his and Bella's kiss but Samantha didn't want to talk about that. She wanted to wait and see if he would tell her.

"Have you told Samantha?" She heard Bella ask. "About the kiss?"

"Is she here?" His voice made the hybrids breath hitch in her throat.

He's in pain, lots and lots of it, Sia stated.

Well they did rebreak his bones, Samantha pointed out sarcastically.

"Yeah she's here," was all Bella said before changing the subject. "I'm sorry for everything. I-I didn't mean to make yours and Samantha's relationship as it is now."

Jacob hadn't said anything. He knew it wasn't Bella's or Samantha's fault. It was his. He emotions for the two were everywhere. He loved Samantha but he also loved Bella. Before Samantha had come back, he developed a crush for the Swan girl.

"Should I come back?" Bella asked as she got up.

"I need some time," the Quileute boy said. "But I'll always be here waiting."

"Until my heart stops beating," Bella reminded him.

"Maybe even then."

As Samantha heard the words escape his lips, she knew what she had to do. It may hurt her. It may feel like hell for her. But it's what's best for her.

Her fingers twisted the doorknob and as soon as she opened the door, her heart stopped pumping for a second. The hybrid saw the state her imprint was in and deep down inside, it broke her. His right arm was bandaged up and rested on his chest. His forehead and hair was drenched in sweat. He had a thin blanket covering the lower half of his body. He had no shirt on due to his body heat, which Samantha wouldn't mind but seeing the state he was in, she stopped her hormonal thoughts.

Kneeling down beside him, she spoke up,"Hey Jake."

A smile formed his lips,"Hey."

If possible, her heart would be shattering piece by piece. Not only was his appearance painful to see, but the pain that laced in his voice was painful for her to hear. "I would say are you okay but that would be a stupid question to ask."

The shape shifter managed to let out a laugh but he stopped himself and groaned afterwards as he felt his sides hurt. "H-how's your ankle?" The terrible snap from her ankle echoed through his head.

"It's fine. It healed a few minutes after," she informed him. If their roles were reversed, if Samantha was in the same state as Jacob was in right now, with her fast healing abilities, she would be completely healed within an hour or so.

"Well damn," he muttered under his breath causing the hybrid to laugh.

An awkward silence bubbled up after Jacob's response. All their was to hear was the shifters ragged breathing as well as the crickets chirping from outside. "T-there's something I-I need to tell you."

Her eyes drifted away from his injured arm and glanced back up to his eyes that were already looking at her. "Before the fight, s-something happened between me and Bella. Something that I regret doi-"

Sighing, Samantha butted in,"I know about the kiss Jacob."

Seeing his confused look, she rephrased her words,"The kiss that happened between you and Bella at the mountain. I was there. I saw the whole thing with my own eyes."

"Sammy, I-I'm sor-" once again Samantha butted in.

"I'm sorry to," she added on. "For giving you a second chance."

She didn't mean for the words to come out harsh but she couldn't help the anger that was bubbling in inside her. She wanted to yell at him. She wanted to tell him how much he was hurting, killing her in the inside. She didn't have the voice to yell at him but she did have the voice to tell him how she feels.

"As much as this kills me to say this but," she inhaled a breath. "But I can't do this anymore Jacob."

She had to do it. She had to break things off with Jacob no matter how much it killed her in the inside. They both need this break from each other. Not only was she doing this for herself but she was also doing it for Jacob's sake. She needed him to get his emotions together. She wasn't some rag doll he can play around with when he wanted to.

"Sammy," he breathed out.

"I-I'm sorry," she stuttered, using her sweaters sleeve to wipe the tear, she hadn't notice come out from her eye. "I can't be with you when I know you have feelings for another girl. Jacob I see the way you look at her."

"I love you," his voice cracked.

And that was Samantha's breaking point. More tears spilled out from her eyes,"Not the way that I want to be loved."

"Not the way that you love Bella."

She unclipped the back of the necklace Jacob had given her when they were younger and had placed it into the palm of his hand that wasn't wrapped up. "It's over, Jacob."

Jacob saw the hybrid break down in front of him and it teared him apart in the inside and out. He had a few tears come out from his eyes but not the way Samantha's tears were. He hated himself for causing her so much pain. He was to blinded to see how broken she was when he was with Bella.

"You don't know what it's like to see your Imprint happier with another person. You don't know how it feels to see the person you were destined to be with kiss someone else in front of you. It's like a knife stabbing your chest while you're lit on fire," Samantha said once she managed to regroup herself as well as her tears. "I need some time. I need some time from you. I need some time away from here."

Getting up, Samantha made her to the door to leave but stopped in her tracks when she heard Jacob speak up. "P-please don't go," he pleaded for her to stay, to work things out between the two but Samantha couldn't take it anymore.

"May we meet again."

This chapter killed me you guys ...

When I added the Raven and Finn break up scene (from The 100) it killed me ten times more /: Next chapter is the Epilogue and I ain't ready at all.
