CHAPTER 9

Both Samantha and Frankie were currently at the grocery store getting some things they needed an event that was happening tonight. After the incident with Derek, she had almost forgot that she invited Jacob and his father over for dinner. She glanced at the time on her phone and saw that it was about to be three in the afternoon.

As they searched for ingredients they needed, Samantha saw a couple of girls glancing at Frankie as well as whispering inappropriate things to one another which made Samantha shake her head at the hormonal teenage girls. Once she had all the supplies she needed she began to pay the cashier then the two headed back home.

***

As the food was settling, Frankie as well as Samantha went to their rooms and began to get ready. Samantha pulled out a long white loose spaghetti strapped shirt and paired it with some black leggings and warred her black combat boots. Once she was done, she headed towards her bathroom and began to do her hair. Seeing as how her hair was naturally wavy, she decided to go with a little side braid. As for makeup, she sticked with just lip gloss and a bit of mascara seeing that the thought of her face caked is something she wasn't looking forward too.

By the time she was done it was six forty-five which meant that Jacob and Billy would be arriving anytime soon. Samantha stood in front of the door that was Frankie's room and knocked on it a couple of times. The door opened and their stood a very handsome Frankie who wore a tight black shirt, that made his abs pop, and paired his shirt with a pair of blue jeans.

Samantha couldn't help but admit to herself that the boy looked hot.

***

The doorbell had rang which caused Samantha to stop what she was doing and head towards the door, leaving Frankie to continue on putting the dishes of food on the dinner table. Once she unlocked the door, she turned the doorknob then opened it revealing both Jacob and Billy who was in a wheelchair.

A smile lit up Billy's face as he saw Samantha standing there,"Jacob wasn't kidding when he said that you looked gorgeous." And that was true, he remembered his son constantly telling him how much she's changed over the years and how gorgeous she looked when he saw her.

An annoyed groan was heard from behind Billy,"Really dad." Even though he remembered telling his father that Samantha's figure had changed a lot, he didn't want him repeating it in front of her.

"Well thank you you two. Come on it." She moved to the side and shut the door closed once they were both in. Both Billy and Jacob had took a look around from where they were standing to see that nothing much has changed in the house. They would of thought Samantha would have moved into a different house.

"I see you cleaned up the place," Billy spoke as he wheeled himself to where the living room was at.

"Sure did," Samantha responded as she stood next to Jacob who was trying his best to not drool over her.

"You look uh, you look great," Jacob stuttered then mentally slapped himself as he heard how dumb he sounded.

Samantha chuckled as she saw Jacob beating himself up mentally."Thanks Jake. You don't look bad yourself," she sent him a wink then moved toward where the kitchen kitchen was at.

Jacob soon followed her but had stopped when he saw a another guy, who looked to be around his age, standing next to Samantha with his arm around her shoulder as them two laughed at something his father had told them. Jacob swallowed his jealousy and hatred towards the guy. It took everything in him to not maul the guy. He hoped that the guy wasn't staying for dinner but he soon, once again, mentally slapped himself as he saw the guy sit down in one of the chairs that surrounded the table that was filled with food.

"Great," Jacob muttered.

***

"Samantha did you make this?" Asked Billy as he took a bite from his cooked chicken.

"With some help from Frankie," She nudged his shoulder making him snicker but nonetheless he nudged her back.

Jacob glanced at the two wondering if they were together or if they were just friends. He hoped they were just friends. Aside from his hatred to the guy, he knew he had to behave himself not for his dad but also for Samantha. He didn't want to give her the wrong impression. Despite the fact that Samantha was mainly focused on his dad, he still couldn't help but melt at the sound of her voice as she spoke whenever it was necessary for her to.

"Jake," Samantha snapped her fingers in front of his face making him snap away from his thoughts.

"Uh sorry," he apologized making Frankie stifle a laugh which made Samantha punch his side telling him to shut up.

"Ow," Frankie murmured as he rubbed his side Samantha punched him on.

"You okay?" She asked him, ignoring Frankie's whining on how his side was hurting bad. All he did was nod his head not really wanting to say something that will make him look like a fool.

***

Samantha walked both Billy and Jacob to the front door to say her goodbyes while Frankie stayed behind and cleaned up. His ears perked up when he heard Samantha and Jacob speaking to one another.

"I was wondering if you, um, if you would like to go out with me tomorrow night," he asked her shyly.

"Is Jacob black asking me out on a date?" Samantha asks teasingly but also a bit taken back.

"Depends if it's a yes or no," Jacob replied with his hands in his front pocket.

"What time?" She asks him.

Her question took not only Jacob but as well as Frankie by surprise. "What time will you be picking me up?" Samantha asked him again as she tried her best to hide her smile that was begging itself to surface.

"Does six sound fine?"

"Sounds good. Night Jake," She shut the door slowly then leaned her head against it as she bite down on her bottom lip then released it as the corner of her mouth curled up in a smile.

Once she snapped herself out of her thoughts, she began to go back on helping Frankie clean up the kitchen which only took about ten minutes seeing as how Frankie only needed help on cleaning the dishes. As they said their good nights to one another, the two went their separate ways meaning that they went to their bedrooms.

Samantha kicked off her combat boots and grabbed herself some joggers as well as a loose tank top along side with her undergarments. As she was done taking off her clothes, she looked at herself in the mirror. Her finger tips slowly gilded them self over the scar that had printed itself to her skin. It was at placed at the top to where her hip bone was at. She remembered every memory, every pain she felt in that place she called her personal hell.

***

The young girls breathing was off by a lot but that didn't stop her from running away from the figure that was a few feet away from her. As she turned her head to her left side, she felt the tips of her foot touch something rough which caused her to fall on the ground. She winced as she felt a bit of pain forming on her right knee but she simply ignored it and quickly picked herself up as she heard the familiar sound of the figures foot steps heading towards her way.

After many times of trying to find herself a place where she could hide, she soon found herself hiding under a boulder that had a hole that was covered by thick vines but she could easily fit into it. Her eyes had widened as she glanced at the ground that showed a shadow of the figure, that has been following her, standing on top of the same exact boulder she was hiding under from.

The figure knew she was here. She could sense her presence around him. "You can't run away from me Samantha! You have no where to go. No where to hide. No where to keep you safe away from me. You either reveal yourself or I come and find you and do the same exact thing to you as I did to your parents."

The mentioning of her parents had sent shivers down her spine. All she wanted was to be back at home in her bed all tucked in with her mother singing her lullabies that would make her fall asleep. The figure jumped down from the boulder, his feet had landed right in front of her face which had her stop breathing for a second.

She knew this was it.

She knew she was done with.

As she was too deep in her thoughts, she hadn't realized someone grab her arm roughly and yank her out of her hiding spot until she saw the figures bloody face.

"Got cha," They said with a smirk that caused the young girl to scream from the top of her lungs. The figure had let go of her and grab his head as he groaned in pain.

She took that as her opportunity and took off running again. The adrenaline in her started giving her a sudden boost of energy. She felt the pain on her knee starting to hurt again but the pain soon eased its way onto the girls back.

It was as if her whole body was on fire.

Not only was it her back hurting but it was also her arms, legs, even her chest began to hurt. She felt her left arm snap which caused her to stop her running and scream out in pain. She felt another snap but it was now her right leg. Her back was in a hunched position as she felt every part, every bone in her body snap.

The pain had soon stopped which caused her to open her eyes but stopped once she looked down and saw her once skin tanned hands and legs were now replaced with furry arms and legs. She saw a lake not to far from where she was at and soon felt herself beginning to walk to where it was at but had a bit of trouble with her knew sudden form.

Once she got to where the lake was at, she glanced at her completion through the mirror of the water. She wasn't in her regular human form. She was in the form of a werewolf. Her fur was in a russet colored type. She knew about the legends. She knew that her father was apart of them. She knew about all of it.

She also knew it was a curse.

"Samantha?" She heard someone say which made her turn around only to see no one there.

Without rethinking anything, she spoke,"Billy?" She wondered how was this possible. How is he in her mind? Her ears had perked up at the spin of someone grunting. Realizing who it was, she soon started to run.

"He found me," she thought to himself, not knowing that Billy could still hear her.

"Whose found you? Samantha where are you?" he asked her with a bit of demanding in his voice.

"I-I'm in the woods. This man is trying to get me. H-he killed my parents," she chocked up.

"Samantha head towards my house. You'll be safe there. When you get there take Rachel, Rebecca as well as Jacob and hide somewhere," he instructed her.

"Stop running and fight me mutt!" The man shouted but it was distant. Samantha replayed what she heard in her head so that Billy can hear it.

"Not him. Samantha you need to go there now!" He commanded.

She started picking up her pace but stopped when she felt a pair of arms wrapped around her. She tried her best to shake him off but it was no use. He had a tight grip on her. Before she could signal out a howl, she felt a pair of teeth what felt like fangs sank it's way on to her neck.

"Samantha!" She heard Billy shout her name as well as multiple howls surface the thin air of the night. She was too weak to howl back. Pain had surrounded her entire body.

"We're on our way Sammy just hold on," Billy told her but her eyes were beginning to shut.

"Is our flight ready to go?" Jeremiah asked through his phone.

"Do you have the girl?" Someone from the other line asked.

Jeremiah's eyes landed on Samantha who was now back into her human form. "Yeah I have her. Will be getting there by tomorrow afternoon." He hanged up the call and glanced at Samantha's neck that still had the bite mark.

"Let's hope the bite doesn't kill you before we get there," he said as he grabbed her wrist hoping he would hear a heart beat which he did but it was starting to fade slowly.

Multiple howls as well as faint footsteps were heard which caused Jeremiah to take off his jacket and wrap around Samantha's naked body as he scooped her up from the ground and began to run away from the other mutts that were trying to catch up to him.

Jeremiah looked from afar as he saw the pack of Samantha's all scattered around trying to find her. He held a smirk on his face as his plan was starting to all come to place.

"The plane is ready sir," one of the flight attendants, Michelle, said as she glanced at the little girl in Jeremiah's arms. His eyes trailed to where Michelle was looking.

"There's billions of girls throughout the whole world, why do you need this one specifically? She looks like she's been though enough." Michelle removed a strand of the girls hair away from her face.

"Because," Jeremiah inhaled, as he tried his best to not strangle Michelle.

"Because what?" Michelle pushed on.

"If the bite heals, she'll have something I want."
