Chapter 19; Healing Mother Wolf

*Author's note*

The farm picture above is what the barn scene looks like at the end just without the large chandelier lamps and no tables. And I please want EVERYONE TO LISTEN TO THE BEAUTIFUL SONG ABOVE AS ADAM AND RED ARE DANCING. This song really hit me as Adam and Red's reunion song after all the crazy shit they've been through and to finally hold onto each other's fate that they would reunite and be father and daughter again. I'm posting up links to Red's outfit/makeup and just imagine Adam as Tom Hiddleston's crimson Peak character again.  Enjoy lovelies and happy reading :)

__________________________

Back to the Italian base, to Mark's ship to rest and refuel their helicopter for the trip back. Next day they took off back to New Zealand and booked a private plane to Sweden back to River's home thanks to Tony's connections with his friends/ex-girlfriends who say he still owes him favors but gladly helped out the new wife.

They booked a private plane led my Scotty McDonald who knew Tony from high school who became college roommates and have been buddies ever since. He got them a big enough airplane with an additional private suite built in the back for Red and Adam to rest together and have some privacy from the others.

River and Nina took control of the plane while George provided the two Vampires refreshments as much as they needed without causing them to go 'drunk' which basically means they'll go straight back to their monster instincts and kill everyone on the plane. Daniel and Rose happily sat together and slept majority of the trip and in the back private suite, Jack was settling Red and Adam together making sure they had enough food and setting up a movie for them thanks to Red.

"Anything else you need Little Red?"

"No, no I'm good, thanks Capt. Jack". Red whispered softly. Jack smiled then said.

"Okie dokie, now what movie shall your father here be educated today?"

"Put in the Jungle Book, the Walt Disney one if you don't mind".

"Of course not" he then took the DVD and put into the player and turned on the 40in TV and as the original Disney introduction came on the screen and the Jungle Book intro music came on, Red leaned against Adam's chest as the music lulled her into a calm and peaceful state and the credits rolled by.

"Did you have anything to do with the Disney movies?" Adam asked.

"Sometimes, but Walt Disney himself and I talked every now and then, I especially helped him with P.L Travers and tried to save him an ulcer for Mary Poppins, even though she hated it with a passion after the short animation sequence, I still think it went very well, and is still a classic watched by people even today".

"So you dealt with the stubborn dame herself huh? Never would've thought you had the patience to deal with her".

"You'd be surprised of how much strength it took me to drain her or scare the shit out of her, but she had a rough childhood so I get it of why she was so hard to crack at". When the movie finally began, Adam and Red remained silent the whole time minus when Red would softly sing the songs especially Bare Necessities.

And it even surprised her when she found Adam singing along with her on that one song.

She smiled and nuzzled him softly and secretly stopped singing and allowed him to sing alone for the song as they both quoted the words during the song then singing the duet of Baloo and Mowgli. At the end they held each other close then Red said.

"I had no idea you've heard of this song".

"Well when Daniel and Rose would occasionally pop in Detroit and tell us of some movies you've helped with, I could resist myself. And this movie just stuck out as one of my favorite Disney movies of all time".

"Huh, and here I thought you were just a stick in the mud who was so unhip to all that came out throughout the years".

"Oh really?" He gently tickled her stomach making her giggle softly then he let up not wanting to hurt her any further than she was and Red placed herself back up onto his chest and the two continued to watch the movie.

At the end of the movie, Jack came in to replace it with another Disney film Red had requested.

Lady and the Tramp.

Red and Adam remained silent and in each other's arms every now and then nuzzling and exchanging parental and child kisses. During the spaghetti scene, Red felt herself falling asleep to the song Bella Notte. Adam stroked her hair gingerly softly humming the song and taking notice of his little girl starting to fall asleep.

He gently kissed her head and continued to hum the song even after the scene ended and soon Red fell asleep in her father's arms and Adam placed his head gently against his daughters and they soon fell asleep in each others arms together.

After the 23 hour flight from New Zealand back to River's childhood home of Gothenburg, Västra Götalands län, Sweden. Once they got to the airport they then hopped into River's car and took the 30 mile drive back to her place to get Red some real medical help and plenty of rest.

Finally after the long drive and the extreme jetlag everyone had, once they all arrived at the house, they all fell asleep.

A few days rest and Adam refused to let Red be given any real medication to counteract the drugs the scientists had given her back at Notre Dame. Anytime River or anyone of Team Song tried to help give her special medicine to help her ride out the drugs that were flowing through her body, Adam would react with anger and defensive.

He refused to allow his daughter to relive what the scientists did to her and even allow anyone to see her until she was 100 percent better.

Red however remained silent and still most of the time as she tried to recover her strength. Feeding only when Adam gave her food and drank from Adam himself to make her stronger. At night she would suffer nightmares and refused to fall asleep as she relived the torture the cult put her through.

Feeling the whips from Bella's insane whiplashing, the club from Greg and Ava's hot iron plate and her own claw like nails torture and scar her entire body. The shocks from the electric table and the feeling of hot fire around her.

In her nightmares she would also see a blurry figure destroying everything and everyone in it's path. Fire raged the building like a wild mustang trapped in a pin, people screaming in pain with no hope of escape, and the smell of bodies burning, the smell of blood everywhere.

Red had no idea who could've done that to so many people even though they weren't nice people she couldn't imagine what monster could cause so many deaths in one night.

A couple of weeks later, Red was still bedridden and Adam refused to allow her to get up for any reason what's so ever and ordered her to keep resting. Even when Red felt like she had the strength to walk again, Adam wouldn't risk it and kept by her side. One night when they were resting, the door opened and someone walked inside their room and stood by Red's side of the bed. A hand reached out and softly stroked down her hair awaking Red from her slumber.

She looked up to see Khan.

"I never took you for one to be this gentle with me". She whispered softly so as to not wake up Adam.

"Well, there are still a lot of things you don't know about me". He gently sat down beside her on the bed careful to not wake Adam up.

"I never got to say thank you". Red said.

"For what?"

"For keeping an eye on him, and making sure he didn't do anything stupid".

"Anything for you two". Khan softly smiled. His face then turned serious as he said again, "tell me, how are you? Really and truthfully Red, and I'll know if you lie to me".

"I know, I know famous brain power which gave you the title Sherlock Holmes to deduce anyone with just a glance at them". Red took a soft sigh and said. "Truthfully, confused".

"How so?"

"I know I should have my powers and they should be helping me heal. Hell I should've even be in a bed weeks ago, but—for some strange reason I feel—empty. Like I have no powers at all, I mean I'm still connected with my wolf but my Vampire powers aren't working. Not even the quick healing that Vampires have is kicking in. And I've been having constant nightmares about someone burning an entire cathedral to the ground killing hundreds of people—Khan I......I'm terrified. What's happening to me?" Khan gently placed his hand against Red's cheek as she stared up at him with eyes of desperation and fear.

"I don't know. But all I can say is try to get as much food and rest as you can, maybe the amount of torture you've suffered has dormant your powers. Vampires maybe indestructible, but even intense torture can sometimes cause us to temporarily lose our powers, plus I've been told they used a magic cuff on you to make sure your powers were in affect as they tortured you, some of that magic still might be within you if it's slipped through you. Maybe a few more days rest you'll soon sleep it off".

Red may have been terrified but she took Khan's word to heart and nodded in understandment.

"Also there's one more thing I've always wanted to ask you?"

"And what is that?"

"Is Khan really your true name, or was it something the cult called you?" Khan let out a smile and a soft chuckle. It had been so long since he's bred that name ever since he was turned, sometimes he even forgets his real name, other times it screams so loudly inside of him that he would give anything to be called that name again.

"It's Edmund. Edmund Hemsworth. That was my human name, after my turn Dracula called me Khan after the fierce Chinese warrior Genghis Khan, thought it would strike fear into the hearts of men being named after a fearsome warrior of the olden days".

"Well—if it'll help, Edmund, may I still call you Khan?"

"Whatever name you deem me worthy of, though I should ask say my real name in private, because no one, not even Adam knows my real name". Khan gestured to Adam quietly.

Red was astounded.

With the bond those two Vampires shared, she would've thought he would've told him his real name.

"So why just tell me?"

"Call it a secret, niece to uncle". He winked at her with a smug grin. Red smirked and teased.

"So, do I have to call you Uncle Khanny now?"

"Don't push the baby talk, Red wolf". Red smirked slyly then leaned her head back down onto her pillows and took a deep sigh as she shut her eyes. She felt Khan stroke through her hair then surprised her with one more thing he hadn't done to her.

He gently kissed her temple lovingly.

It was then Khan quietly snuck out of the room and left the two Imprints alone to rest.

The next couple of days, Red finally was able to convince Adam to walk around which he had agreed to only if he'd be glued to her side at all times to help her in case she were to pass out or get hurt again.

It was at that time Tony came back to the house after trying to calm down the whole Paris situation and get the police off the trail of Vampire activity. Drained and traumatized by what he had seen, Tony collapsed on the couch as River gave him a scotch bottle allowing him to drink right from the bottle.

"So is everything cleared?" She asked him.

"Everything I could get my hands on. Woman I better be getting a reward for this". He joked. River shook her head and whispered dirty suggestions in his ear as Nina arrived to stop her mom and her new step-dad.

It was then Nina had remembered what Red had said back at Notre Dame about giving Tony a chance. She took a deep breath and walked up to her mom and Tony and said.

"Hey Tony, can we talk in the kitchen?" Tony looked up at Nina with wide eyes. Ever since he came in those years ago to marry River, Nina would always give him the death glare or spat out insults and want nothing to do with him. He looked to River and she nodded in approval then Tony and Nina walked into the kitchen to talk.

River had never been more proud of her daughter for wanting to get to know her step-father.

It was then Adam and Red slowly came down the stairs.

"Hello sweetie, how are you feeling?"

"A bit better, at least I can walk without wanting to pass out". Red said as her and Adam reached the bottom step.

"Well that's good, here I've got you some of the really good stuff, here". River handed Red a flask filled with O- blood and she took one swing at it and exhaled as she went into blood ecstasy. She then gave the flask to Adam and he took a swing of it as well and fell under the same spell.

When Tony and Nina came out of the kitchen with his arm around her shoulder, chaos assumed.

Tony backed up and banged into the cabinet making it tip over and crash. His eyes were widened with fear as he tried to scream but his heart raced so fast and his throat was swollen up wit fear he couldn't scream. He kept knocking things over as he tried to get as far away as possible from Red stuttering.

"Tony, Tony, Tony! Relax, calm down!" It was at that moment Khan, Daniel, Rose, John, George and Jack came into to see the commotion then Tony cried out.

"KEPP HER AWAY! KEEP THAT MONSTER AWAY FROM ME!! WITCH!!! EVIL WITCH!!!"

"Tony!"

Red's head suddenly began to hurt as she cried out in agony.

"Red! Red what is it darling?!" Adam asked worriedly. Red kept thrashing her head in immense pain as she saw the fire around the cathedral the figure standing in dead center as she repeatedly killed people, it was then the figure became clear and she could see who it was.

Herself.

This time she was seeing exactly what she was doing through the "Bad Wolf's" eyes.

The people burning, the smell of blood, their pitiful screams of fear and agony.

She remembered everything.

Red let out a piercing scream as she then quickly took out the door and disappeared into the night.

Her screams had caused glass to break, everyone was crouched onto the floor trying to protect themselves and had their ears covered as tightly as they could. When things began to calm down, Adam immediately looked at Tony.

Before he could even blink, Tony was now choked and raised up by Adam gasping for air begging for release but Adam gripped him tighter and tighter the more he tried to struggle.

"You. Did. This". He sneered as his fangs grew and his eyes became menacingly golden.

"Let him go Adam!" Khan commanded him. Adam hissed at Khan then turned his attention back on Tony. "Let. Him. Go!" Khan snarled. Adam glared at Khan then back to Tony until he finally released his grip on Tony's throat.

Tony fell to the ground coughing harshly trying to get in as much air as he could. Adam continued to glare down at Tony before finally running outside to find his daughter.

Adam sniffed the air for her scent to find her scent heading towards the barn. He went inside and looked to find horses, a few cows, sheep, chickens and ducks. He went up to one of the horses and stroked it's muzzle asking her if she had seen Red. She huffed and moved her head up towards the upper levels where the sacks of hay were stacked and he could faintly hear sniffling. He thanked the mare with a single kiss to her muzzle and went up the ladder up to see Red curled up in a ball sniffling every now and then.

He slowly crawled over to her and slide down the hay till he was on her left side.

Silence was between them as he awkwardly looked around the barn until he finally said.

"I could keep sitting here in this smelly barn or—you can talk about what happened back there?"

"Nothing to talk about". Red muttered as she held herself closer in a ball pulling her cloak over her body to shield herself. Adam rolled his eyes for a second then told his daughter.

"Then can I at least see your face? Besides it's rude to talk to your father with your back turned". Adam playing the parental rule book on her.

"Okay, fine". Red muttered before slowly rolling over to stare up at Adam. He leaned downward against the hay and gently stroked through Red's hair and removed some hay that got in it. When he gently stroked down, Red suddenly got a terrible migraine and moaned in pain making Adam flinch slightly.

"Does that hurt?"

"Migraine, so yeah". Adam understanding his daughter's pain, his hand glowed green with gold as he placed it gently on his daughter's head and soon her migraine was gone.

"Not anymore. All better". Red soon felt the pain from her head go away but her heart still ached.

"It must be nice to use magic for good, be helpful to people". Adam tilted his head in confusion.

"What's that suppose to mean?"

"Adam I remember......Everything Tony said was true I—I am a monster".

"Red" he soothed. He took her hands in his then looked at his daughter with gentle eyes as he continued, "we are each given our own gifts. You have the biggest heart I have ever seen. You keep the pack together. Never think you're a monster just because you used your magic to defend your family. Or your wolf form, ehehe or even your sassy attitude". Adam softly chuckled the last part out. Red softly smiled at Adam's words when she felt him lift her chin up with his index finger. "Now don't worry about what Tony said, he's a human and as I've already said,"

"They're mindless fucking zombies" they both said together softly. Red softly smiled as Adam cracked a lop-sided grin.

He then leaned his forehead against Red's and the two of them remained cuddled up close with each other for a few more minutes before finally going back up to the house.

When they got in, River smacked Tony upside the head and pushed him towards Adam and Red. Tony cleared his throat and said.

"I'm sorry Red, I was way out of line and shouldn't have called you a monster or a witch. Can you forgive me?" Red looked at him and softly smiled.

"There's nothing to forgive, and thanks for not letting the cops track me down and for convincing the news that it was your crazy niece whose a really good magician that pulled that Eiffel tower stunt".

"Hey we freaks gotta stick together right?" Tony winked then he and Red hugged it out and everyone was calm once again and just spent the night relaxing and watching some movies.

The next night Adam was woken up by George and Tony who without reason took him out of the bed and told him to get dressed in the fancy tux they had gotten. Adam tired and confused went ahead and got dressed but was still very confused about what was going on. The Same thing was happening with Red as Nina helped Red put on an elegant Red dress, River was doing her hair and Jack was doing Red's makeup dolling her up.

Both Adam and Red were beyond confused as their zombie friends were pampering them up and making them look nice which had taken over an hour and a half for both of them then they were dragged opposite ways toward the barn.

When Adam first got into the barn, he took notice of all the beautiful lights that streamed over top of the barn making it glow like a gentle candlelight. A small sound system was built at the far end of the barn, the hay had been swept up and all the animals had been moved to different sheds just for the night.

"What's all this?" Adam questioned.

"Just a little something River dished up, now I'd like you to say hello to your very beautiful daughter, Red Wolf". It was then Nina and Rose guided Red inside and when Adam took sight of her, his jaw dropped and his eyes widened.

The same girl who was weak and could barely walked now looked like her old self again. An angel from above just like when he first met her.

"Nina and I picked out the dress, aren't we something?" Jack gloated teasingly.

"Wonderful". He walked right up to Red and took her hand and kneeled before her gently kissed it. "My little girl, you look beautiful".

"Thanks papa, and I can finally see your wonderful eyes again". She stroked through his now cut and slicked back black hair, the same way he had it when she ran away. Adam smiled up at her and kissed her temple then stood up beside her as Red said.

"Seriously you guys, what is this all about?"

"Adam, Red. The day we all first met you both, you both have shown us what true courage, strength, loyalty and love is. You both feed off of each other for guidance and strength. You both have changed the lives out of everyone that is in here". River stated.

"Adam, my brother when we first met I had thought I had never seen a more lost soul out of anyone who had been forced into a turn, but when I saw you again with Red I saw a spark within you that flamed so brightly, that I was willing to do anything to keep that glow upon your face. Red had changed you and made you into a better man, and gave you the wish of raising the daughter that you had once lost". Khan said.

"You both have been through hell and back for each other when you separated. Red you did it out of protection, just to make sure Adam was safe and sound, you'd try to keep thinking to yourself that you had to do this when you knew you couldn't live without Adam by your side, and you finally listened to the one true logical reason for your running away". John stated.

"The cult thought they could break you guys apart but there's one thing they didn't count on. And that's true love comes in many forms. Your Imprint for each other kept you both strong and determined to unite once again, now that the cult can't harm you both anymore, you both deserve the chance that was once ripped out from you both". Rose started,

"And that's to be a family again. You both were the ones who brought the Imprint pack together, and it's time our alphas and our most dearest friends had that chance to be a father and daughter again, and to make more happy memories for the future". Daniel started. He nodded to Jack who was at the stereo and Jack pressed 2 buttons and soon a song played throughout the barn.

Delta Goodrem's "Be Strong".

Red smiled softly and nodded her head. Adam then walked up in front of her and bowed to her, Red smiled and curtsied to her father as Adam held out his left hand for her to take. Red placed her right hand in her father's left and he gently guided her to the center of the barn dance floor and the two of them slowly began swaying as Red placed her head against her father's heart.

Everyone remained silent and smiled at the two of them dancing together. A father of old England once a King who had lost his family in war and cursed to watch as everyone he loves dies as time goes on, and a young peasant girl who had been cursed as a monster but never knew of it until it was too late.

The first two Imprints, a Vampire and Werewolf.

As they watched Adam and Red dance together, each of them began to remember the first time they met the two and how they changed their lives forever.

Daniel and Rose remembering the fun times in 1750 of Scotland, the funny memories of scaring Adam to make him believe they and Red had been in contact, to all the bonfires they had at nightfall. The songs they've sung and dances they've shared after once living over 20 years of isolation to finally have the chance to have friends again.

John remembering Red's kindness in 1850 when he had came as an angry doctor detective. Even when he was captured and turn he couldn't hate her because he got to have a new family after losing his after his turn. He became a brother and uncle and best friend to creatures he had only heard of in stories and had turned a new eye on what they really were like.

Khan remembering the crazy times with Adam back in the days of the cult after Henry the V had been turned. Even though his first meeting with Red had been typical stereotypical Vampire/Werewolf rivalry at first, he had gotten respect for her after she had saved him from dying of contaminated blood, and seeing how she had been the reason for Adam's true happiness he had gladly accepted her as his niece and the two of them finally came to pass with each other by accepting each other as true uncle to niece relationship instead of mutual ally.

River and her team remembered all the good times and laughs Red brought into the Song family. Memories of growing up from the 50's-2010 they would be forever grateful to those memories and laughs, and even though Adam was sketchy around them last summer, he was only a father wanting his daughter back, just like any parent would when their child gets taken away from them.

But the ones thinking about Adam and Red, was none other than Adam and Red themselves.

The two of them had once lived miserable lives. Whether forced to kill or a repetitive life-cycle until meeting each other almost over 400 years ago. As they danced with each other and giving each other loving kisses or tight hugs, memories of them together replayed in both of their minds.

Their first meeting, finding out the truth of who they were to each other, the finding of their Imprints, marking their Imprints by turning them, the laughs, the tears, the comforts, the friends, and forming a family with their closest friends.

Because that's who they were.

Imprints.
