Luci went with Peter to get food. She sat with him at the special table for the birthday people.

"My mom made this lunch. I made the cake," Luci giggled as she looked at Peter.

"Well your mother did a wonderful job and I can't wait to taste your cake, babe," Peter smiled and kissed her cheek gently.

Luci giggled as she ate.

Orion came over and sat down with MJ. They were talking about a book series called Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

"Are you two having fun?" Luci asked with a smile and her brother nodded.

"We're having a great time," MJ smiled at Orion, only a little shorter than him. Luci was the short one. She took after her mom in that aspect. She was a lot shorter than Peter. Even in three inch heels, the top of her head reached his eyebrows.

"I'm glad that you're enjoying it. You two make a cute couple," Luci smiled at them as she leaned against Peter.

They all ate their dinner and cake. Soon is was time for presents and Lucinda was excited to give Peter his gift.

"Who wants to go first?" Tony asked, both Peter and Luci raising a hand.

"I wanna give Peter/Luci my gift to him/her!" They yelled at the same time, making them each giggle.

"I'll let you give it to each other at the same time.

Peter pulled out a box as Luci pulled out a glasses case.

They gave each other the present for the other and opened it.

Lucinda saw a beautiful necklace.

"Peter... it's perfect! Thank you so much!" Lucinda hugged him tightly before she kissed him.

"I'm glad you like it."

"I don't like it Peter. I love it," Lucinda smiled at him he opened the glasses case Luci gave him.

Inside were a pair of his own unique Edith glasses.

"Your very own Mary glasses!"

"Oh my Stark! This is so cool!" Peter smiled brightly.

"I had uncle Tony help me design them but I made them and programmed them myself. They are Edith glasses but programmed as Mary instead," Luci smiled at him and he hugged her tightly.

"Thank you so much!"

Luci giggled and kissed him softly. "I still say the gift you gave me is the best."

Peter chuckled and just kissed her, keeping her close, never wanting to let her out of his arms.

After presents, Luci wanted to disappear with Peter. She walked over to Tony, Kaylanna, May, and her parents who were talking.

"We're going to disappear for a while to go to that thing I told you about," Luci said and the group nodded.

When they left, Peter was still curious as to where and what this surprise was.

They went to the secret garden and Peter smiled when he saw what Luci had done.

"Luci, this is amazing," Peter said as he looked at her.

"I wanted to make up for the fact that I hadn't been spending time with you. I'm really sorry," Luci said softly and looked down.

"Don't be. I was selfish and know that. I just... I want you all to myself..."

"But you do. I'm no one else's. I'm all yours," Luci put a hand on his chest gently.

"I know that but I mean, I want you with me all the time. The only family I have is Aunt May so I can spend all the time in the world with you unless May wants to do a special outting. But you have a lot of family. Your brother and cousin took up all of your time and I was jealous... jealous that you were spending more time with them... I know it's selfish... I'm just so afraid of losing you..." Peter said and he hugged her tightly.

"You aren't going to lose me," Luci kissed his cheek.

"But it still scares me... that's the main reason I wanted Liz... I accepted my feelings a long time ago but I pushed them down because if I was with Liz and I lost her it wouldn't hurt as much... but if I lost you... I don't know what I would do... I was so scared when I said I was breaking up with you. I stayed up all night thinking about it... I-I... I can't live without you, Lucinda," Peter started to to cry.

"I was so afraid because I thought that you were leaving me so I decided to leave you before you could leave me but I just... I need you."

Luci frowned and leaned up on her tiptoes, kissing him softly.

Peter couldn't kiss back. He felt so guilty. Luci pulled back and looked into his eyes, seeing the guilt that was consuming him.

"I'm the worst boyfriend ever..."

"Stop. Don't say that ever again. I need to stop saying it too. We're going to have ups and downs throughout our relationship but as long as we stick together, we'll be fine," Luci wrapped her arms around his neck and he nodded.

"You're right. I'm sorry. I'm never letting you go," Peter murmured before he kissed Luci, holding her tightly in his arms.

"Come on, let's go enjoy a nice quiet dinner and snuggle," Lucinda said softly and Peter nodded. "You aren't allowed to cry. It's your birthday."

"And you've made today special. I keep screwing up but you're here to make everything better. I'm so glad that you gave me a second chance," Peter kissed her cheek and she giggled.

"Let's go snuggle by the little waterfall. I set up a projector."

"What about a screen?" Peter raised an eyebrow.

"Don't worry?"

She used her powers, making a snow wall that wouldn't melt until she let it.

"What movie?" Peter sait down while she turned on the projector.

"Star Wars. Return of the Jedi," Luci giggled and sat beside him.

Peter pulled her into his lap, resting his chin gently on her shoulder.

When the movie was over, Luci got up and smiled.

Thank you so much for doing this, babe. You're the best girlfriend a guy could ever want," Peter kissed her forehead gently and smiled at her lovingly.

"I just wanted to make you happy and have this be the most special birthday ever," Luci said softly as she looked into Peter's eyes.

"Luci, I have one more gift for you," Peter said said and he pulled out the small box.

He opened the box and looked directly into her eyes.

"I-I got you a promise ring because I promise that I'll always be yours and I'll stick by you at all times. Whenever you need me to be there, I'll be there. I want to marry you one day," Peter said and Luci teared up.

"I-I... Peter..."

"I need you so much, Lucinda. I can't get you out of my mind. I'm so lost whenever you aren't near me. You complete me and you make me want to be a better person. I can't live without you," Peter said and he breathed deeply.

"I love you."
