"Well dude, just to inform you, you are infected by a virus that does nothing more than kill you in 2 freakin hours if not treated, WHAT ELSE DO YOU EXPECT" Shouted Aaron, who seems to be having trouble standing still

"You are kidding right, how do you even know about the virus," I ask Aaron, wishing he would say no. Like come on 2 hours seriously 

"Do you think I would kid right now in this situation"

"Yes I studied this in biology last week"He answered

"Ummm guys....what is the time right now," Elena asked looking at the sky, Weird right

"Why do you care about the time in this situation,"Nick asked

These guys are so impossible,they are still fighting and giving each other comebacks in this situation

"Just tell me the 'F'ing time" She said avoiding the curse word 

"Its 7:30"I answered

"Well is it lunar eclipse today?"She asked randomly

"No" We 3 replied in unison

"Then why is the sky dark right now...and....ahh...cath ...I told you not to stay in sun for too long..now look you are soo tan.....aahh....whats happening...now earthquake also came.....everything bad has to happen today..."She said while stumbling

"Uh elena are you okay..elenaa"I said while helping her stand still when she was stumbling uncontrollably

While I was worrying and thinking for a solution,I saw all the childrens rushing out of the assembly point towards the direction of nurse,s office

"Guys,I think the antidote is there lets go to the nurse,s office" I said to all three of my sick looking friends.Their skin was pale and eyes bloodshot.Gosh this virus really is deadly and I,m starting to get even more worried now.I guess they cant go to the nurse,s office in this condition,and then I got an idea.Nick was looking the finest right now.

"Nick I have to go to nurse,s office.Can you handle Elena" I said while handing him over Elena who was still stumbling

"YEs" He answered

Then when I started to run towards nurse,s office a voice forced me to stop and turn around

"Hey hey...bro..easy there"  

Oh no I completely forgot about Aaron.

And then when I turned my head to see who I just heard speak

It was alec who was currently handling Aaron,His ex-best friend

"YOU GO, I am here with them"Alec shouted and gestured me to go to nurse,s office.

And then I started my run again towards the nurse,s office

After reaching there , two expressions could be evident on my face  Surprise and Happiness

Yeah, you read right...Happiness because all of the students were recovered and were as fresh as ever.

But then a sudden thought reminded me of why I'm here.

"Uh uh Sir, My friends are really really sick they are in the assembly area, please send help there"

He quickly nodded and called some helpers from the virus treatment who thankfully brought my friends to the nurse,s office on a stretcher.

Elena and Aaron were unconscious however Nick was still conscious but he also looked pale and quite similar to aaron,s and elena,s appearance.

"Nick you should also go and take the antidote"I informed him while pushing him towards the other class with doctors

"Ok" He replied and entered one of the classes

After he left I went to check on my other two friends.Who I am glad would be saved now.But the sound of a particular conversation crushed all my hopes.

"It isn't curing them"I heard a lady,s voice from the nurse,s office who I assumed was the doctor

What The Heck!

"What do you mean"Principal growled in frustration

Yes, he was tensed.Not because he cared, there is no chance he would care for us.The reason he was angry and frustrated was because he was scared...scared of Elena,s parents.

Why?

Well that's easy question.Did I ever tell you elena was from a very rich family. And by rich I mean very very rich.They run a large business of textiles.So, If I ever see elena burning dollars I wouldn't be surprised.

So back to the situation

"There should be a way, Why did other students get healed then"Principal west shouted

"They are more strongly infected as compared to the others, and I can tell these both were the ones who spread the virus.Now would you please stop shouting"The lady doctor replied.

"So what are we gonna do now"

"I don't know.The other students were mildly affected, unlike these two, that's why they are,nt getting cured"

"But if we had the correct antidote, they could be saved.But unfortunately the antidote for this strong virus has still not been created."

"So what will happen now, "Principal asked with a little hope

"They will die! As simple as that" She replied

Now, this was enough.I couldn't help myself so I opened the door of the nurse,s office on which my ear was previously glued.

"Excuse me DOCTOR"I shouted

  No no no Catherine she is your only hope, be on good terms with her if you want your friends to live.

"Yes?"She replied hesitantly 

"There should be some way my friends could be saved?"I skipped to the direct topic, ignoring the fact they will know I was eavesdropping.

"I'm sorry dear, but the antidote for this virus is still under process," She said with a sympathetic face

"That means some of the chemicals added to it are known now", I asked with hope

"Yeah.But why are you asking"She asked confused.Principal West was confused as well

Then a crazy idea got into my mind

"Can you tell me there names?"I asked

"Ofcourse not.Why would I reveal our top secret information to some random teenager" She  said pretending to be oblivious.

"Yeah A random teenager whose friends are gonna die any second if not treated"I replied back with as much sarcasm as I can collect in this situation

"What are you gonna do any ways "She asked completely ignoring my comeback

"Just tell me"

"NO"

"Please"

"I already said no"

"OK stop you two"Principal west interrupted us

Then a wonderful yet evil idea got into my mind.I am gonna thank god later.

"Well,Doc,I was wondering that one of my these friends"I said pointing at aaron and elena lying on bed

"Is a millionare"

"So if you give me the information I am asking for ,maybe you could be awarded by a couple of bundles of dollar"

"If you are trying to bribe me then l am sorry,I will not fall for your trick"She seemed uninterested

"Or you can end up in jail if anything happens to elena" I said raising an eyebrow

Now she seems horrified

"So if you are not telling me I guess I should go now to inform my bestfriend,s parents about the situation"I said while turning and walking away from her

 I did a victory dance in my brain and turned on my heels again and walked towards her

"Hurry,I dont wanna put my friends life in danger"I said rapidly

"This is the truth,this chemical is named this and it is made by mixing many chemicals that are easily available.But the research says one more element is needed to be added in this chemical to make it complete but the unknown reactant has still not been figured out"

Ok this information is of no use from any angle

But then out of curiosity I asked a question

"What is its color by the way"

"It's blue"

"What blue?"I asked thinking of seeing a blue chemical somewhere

"Yeah it's blue because of copper oxide inside it"

Oh yeah now I remember where I saw it.

"And what does it smell like"

"Umm you can say..it smells like mint"

Now the only thing I have to do is to ask the specific someone who I saw this chemical with.

"Wait a sec"

I ran towards the gym where all the students were told to stay.And now I had to find a specific someone to help me.

As much as I hate to say that specific someone was Alec.

I stood on my tiptoes to look over the crowd of students to find him but all my efforts seemed futile.

I was still trying to look when I was accidently pushed by someone in front of me and due to my instability caused by standing on my toes I started falling backward but luckily someone grabbed my wrist before I hit the hard gym ground

I got up and smiled when I saw it was Max who helped me.

Catherine, you have got serious issues right now.Stop smiling and get to work

"Hey no don't stop smiling you look really cute.And what serious issues are you talking about"Max smiled

OH no did I just say my thoughts out loud

"Please don't ask, if I started telling you the whole list of the serious issues right now,It would take at least 2 hours and that would result in my serious issues turned into horrible realities"

"OK then tell me later, But can I help you with something "He asked, smiling 

"Umm well I was looking for Alec"

"Alec, You mean alec Ryder one alec?"He asked shocked that I was looking for him

I wouldn,t blame him.The whole school excluding Nick knew about mine and Alec,s relationship.So his reaction was not shocking to me.It was expected

"Yeah that one"I answered

"I guess the situation really is serious," He asked pretending to be serious and tapping his finger on his chin pretending to think

"Oh please shut up, and just help me find him"

"Ok ok now no need to be rude" He smiled showing his pearly whites

"I saw him in the corridor"He answered

"Ok then let,s go"I ran towards the corridor

"Because it's the matter of someone,s life and death" I answered

"I'll not answer, until I get an explanation" He replied

"Guys?" Max asked

"There is no time for explanation "I answered

"Why are you asking me all this"He repeated for like the fifth time

"Because it's the matter of someone's life and death "I answered

"Guys?"Max repeated again

  "I'll not answer, until I get an explanation" He replied 

  "There is no time for expla-"  

"GUYS" Max shouted

"Yes" We both answered in unison while we whipped our  heads towards him 

"Can you both stop repeating same things again and again, and what chemical are you talking about"He asked in pure confusion and frustration

"I told you that I will tell you everything later and you Alec"I said turning towards alec

"If you didn't tell me then I will-"

"You will? "He asked amused while raising his one eyebrow

"I will tell everyone that you poisoned me and I luckily made it out safely "I said in one whole breath

"HE WHAT?"Max shouted

"Leave it Max",I told him

"No you wouldn,t " Alec said threateningly 

"Oh yes I will"I replied back with a threatening voice and a smirk

"Aghh fine I will tell you" He replied in a defeating voice

"It smelled something like...umm yeah...Mint..It smelled like mint".
