Queen Raeanne
Bleeding out.
Alone.
Room spinning.
Nightmares becoming reality.
How could this have happened? I trusted Caroline. She was to me like a sister I never had. I thought she was my friend. I was wrong. I had never been so wrong about someone in my life. I can't believe it. What happened?
I am going to die here. Alone.
No. I need to stay alive. I need to fight. If not for myself or for my country, then for my son. Henry deserves to know his mother did everything she could to protect him even when it seems impossible.
In a wave of unexplained strength, I stand myself up, leaning on the throne behind me for support. I need to make it to those doors across the room. I need to save my son from whatever Caroline has planned.
I need to warn Michael.
Sharing at the doors opposite from me, I shake my head. They are so far away.
I can do it. I can do this.
Holding my hands over my stomach to contain the bleeding, I shuffle towards the doors, never taking my eyes off of them. I can not loose sight of my goal.
I fall forward, just at the base of the doors. I cry out in pain, pushing on the doors to open them. They click but remain in place. She locked them. I lift my fists as high as I can and slam them on the base of the door, hoping someone comes to my rescue. "Help." I mutter, feeling my body weaken with every passing second.
I can not stay here and wait for someone who is not coming. There is no one around. I am alone. I have to do this myself.
I pull myself up on the doorknobs and think of another way out. There is an emergency exit in every room of the castle. The passageways.
I slide along the walls until I reach the secret door behind the tapestry on the wall. I rip it down with my body weight leaning on it.
I slowly descend the steps, taking my time so that I don't- THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP- fall. I land on the bottom. At least I don't have to worry about falling down anymore steps...
Now for the hard part. I need to- what do I need to do?
Banging footsteps distract me from my jumbled thoughts. I can't let her find me. She will kill me.
I crawl using my elbows towards the stairs, hoping to use them as shelter.
"Shit. It's the Queen!" One of the voices speaks hurriedly. He is out of breath.
"Please. Leave me." I beg with every ounce of breath I have left.
"Shit. Uh. Shit! Michael didn't explain this part to us!" More voices speak.
How many of them are there? I recognize something they said.
"Michael."
"Uh yeah. Michael. He. Ramon. Flowers. Baby." They sound as jumbled as me. Neither of us can form a coherent thought.
"Henry."
"Yeah Henry. Uh. Grab her. Guys grab her."
"No."
"It's okay Queen. Michael sent us. We are kind of like your hero's right now." The man carrying me whispers as I resist to the best of my abilities. "We've got your baby. We are going to get you guys out of here." He comforts me with his words. "Shit. I'm carrying the Queen!"
The light burns my eyes as they exit the passageways. How did they know their way around?
"Ramon? We need a flower delivery pronto dude! Castle is under siege. Queen dying. Let's go." The boy carrying me speaks.
How did he know the code?
Who are these people?

What do you guys think? Will Rae, Henry, and the boys all make it to safety? And if they do, will Rae make it to the morning?
