I am a student at South Pontotoc High School. Everyday I see things happen and undergo a great deal of injustice from fellow students and the administrators.  The athletic kids get away with everything and get it easier than those of us who work hard and put effort in. As I write this, I am being punished for letting a profanity slip. After doing so, I immediately apologized for my mistake. The teacher greatly disliked this. This same teacher has let 3 students within athletic programs off with light warnings after the same mistakes. Where is my equality? I wish to see the justice I deserve. I am a hardworking student who always lets the system toss me around like a ship in a storm, but now I'm taking the reins and steering toward my own paradise. This journey of mine will begin with me coming out on top and gaining the justice for the others who are like me. They don't deserve to be mistreated just because they aren't favored by the system. So, I write this to tell of our troubles. This is our plea for help. We want to fight back against those who mistreat us. The ones who push us down and laugh in our faces, the ones who won't let us voice our opinions because it is considered "backtalk" and "disrespectful conduct," and the system that is clearly against people like us. I refuse to carry out my punishment until justice has been restored to my people as well as myself.
