A middle aged man with the beautiful woman entered the prime step of the 'Step Up Hall'. 

 "Your Majesty has arrived," Kentucky announced.

 Queen Crystal and King Henry had taken their seats. 

An announcement from the Queen came with great speed, "Let the presentation begin." 

Ernst smirked, "I am curious to know who shall become the Spotlight of the season." 

Delta in response said, "I barely care about this concept." 

Mr. Kim( from the audience) intrigued, questioned Ernst, "Spotlight? What does this mean?"

 Ernst gasped , took a moment  and explained, "Oh Mr. Kim, you little newbie. In the city of Galway, every year, a glorious season is held, which signifies the marriage season. It indicates that the girls that turn 18 and are perfectly ready, can enter the marriage mart and find a husband."

A shocked Mr. Kim exclaimed, "Oh, Wow! I am fascinated by this new trend or the existing trend in the marriage season." I do have a question though, Why are we gathered here?"

Ernst answered, "We are at the presentation. In this scenario, the queen selects the best choice who is a perfect bride to be and the best of the bunch. Further, she declares the best one as the Spotlight of the season." 

Mr. Kim amazed by this information enquired, "Then?" 

Ernst responded "Then, the all the suitors will try to get the attention of the spotlight and ultimately, it's the spotlight to choose the best suitor to marry, obviously with the queen's permission."

 Delta interrupted, "Ernst, you are talking to a stranger for so long, I can't believe it. The presentation begins in a minute."

 Ernst immediately bid farewell to Mr. Kim and joined Delta.

Marvel and Sigmund teased Ernst, "So our shy boy is finally opening up, hmmmm..." 

Ernst mindfully ignored them because he was tired of being subjected to criticism due to his under confidence.

Meanwhile Rose exclaimed, "Oh no, Erlyn has entered into panic mode once again."

 Eza immediately ran towards her mother and comforted her, "Mother, don't worry everything will be fine, I have practiced a lot and shall give my best". 

The minute Erlyn calmed down, some murmuring was heard. 

The ladies behind including Mrs. Mennigan humoursly said, "What a shame? The elder daughter of the Finnegan family is not in their control. She simply refused to be a part of the social season. The queen shall certainly keep this in mind and would not entertain Eza's presentation."

As Mrs. Menningan and the other ladies went to prepare their daughters, Erlyn once again panicked and fumed, "I shall never forgive Delta for such ruthless behavior."

Rose Valery's  children entered the backstage to wish Eza good luck. All of them wished her at once, "All the Best Eza."

As all of them went to the audience arena. 

Erlyn approached Rose and appreciated, "Your have raise your children with good values though they have completely different qualities that highlight their personality."

Rose happily expressed, "Yeah, you are right Erlyn. My elder one, Junior-Raymond is strict and traditional, adhering to social customs. Ray is a notorious rogue, while Lily is quiet and content at home. Samuel is artistic, dreaming of a fantasy world, and Sigmund is optimistic about his music. The youngest, Stephanie, is the most outspoken and lively and Daisy, she loves Eza and considers  as her role model."

"Mrs.Menningan and her three daughters, please enter the Premise of the hall," an announcement was made by Kentucky. 

They immediately entered and walk down in their beautiful blue attire with a sense of decency and etiquettes carried towards the queen.

Queen Crystal gasped, "Boring." 

On the other hand, king Henry smiled and said, "I just hope the best". 

As the Menningan daughters departed from the venue, Kentucky made another announcement,  "Mrs. Finnegan and her daughter Eza Finnegan, the youngest, please enter the premise of  the hall".

 As both of them entered, Eza gasped slowly, "This is it, I am going to enhance my family's reputation in the city." 

Erlyn was expecting a complete downfall due to the intense murmuring regarding Eza's presentation, despite being the youngest. Eza walked graciously by sliding her green colored gown towards the queen and walked with confidence. 

An astonished queen commented, "Mesmerizing and Impeccable, I am extremely delighted by this presentation as it was the best one in the social season (marriage mart) though I had expected a disaster. Anyways, I am impressed by your polished debut, Miss Eza Finnegan."

 Eza responded, "Thank you and I appreciate your compliments, your majesty." 

Erlyn had a sigh of relief and made a proud eye-contact towards Mrs. Mennigan. Trevor, Daisy and Sigmund clapped for her presentation. 

Marvel immediately commented, "Perhaps, it was the right decision that Eza was the first daughter to enter the social season and represent our family". 

Delta looked at Eza and responded, "Yeah, in fact it was the best decision." 

As a sense of delight and happiness spread across the hall, suddenly a scream was heard, "Your Majesty....... Your Majesty.............Your Majesty", by a frantic Regent. 

The Queen questioned "What happened and How dare you interrupt the most precious presentation?".  

The regent replied, "Your majesty, the Eye-Opener has arrived." 

The Queen immediately dropped to her seat.

 Mr. Kim once again questioned Ernst, "Who is the Eye-Opener and Why is the Queen and the ton stressed out?"

Ernst replied, "The Eye-Opener of the season is basically an extremely popular and a blunt gossip monger of the ton. He/she has a lot of secrets related to any citizen of the ton or even the queen." Only the Eye-Opener can challenge the queen and the monarchy". 

Mr. Kim reacted, "Wow! this city is so interesting. It's fun to see this challenge. By the way, do you have any idea who this secret author, I mean the Eye-Opener could be."

 Ernst said, "Identity, What a joke? forget about the identity, we are not even aware whether the Eye-Opener is a male or a female."

The regent distributed the latest issue of Eye-Opener to everyone. "Marvel humoursly smirked towards Sigmund and said, "I guarantee you brother, now we are going to have a lot of fun."

The Eye-Opener's latest issue stated the below

Dearest Voracious Readers ,

I welcome you all to the presentation of the first social season this year. I know the queen will be end up in a frantic state as she reads my latest issue because she fears me and my power. The queen and all the members of the ton know that I have the power to make or break a person's reputation in this society.

Now getting back to the Queen's perfect search for the 'Spotlight' of the season. I assume that the queen's intention is not to search for the spotlight, but to actually find a puppet to enhance her reputation by getting that puppet married to the best gentlemen.

Therefore, I won't tolerate these games of the monarch and take matters into my own hands. I have the highest authority in the whole town, above the queen as well. 

Henceforth, I declare 'Delta Finnegan', a strong, career-oriented and fierce young woman as the 'Spotlight' of the season. 

Your majesty or our dear queen, do not worry as you already have a puppet that you can play with, 'Your husband-King Henry'. 

I assure the ton that the queen would be extremely happy with my selection of the spotlight because she gets to spend more time with her loyal puppet, 'King Henry'.

Eye-Opener

'Be cautious and don't forget me'.

The whole ton was glancing towards a distraught queen, as the Eye-Opener had revealed a lot more than just the spotlight selection.

A still shocked Delta, after reading the issue ran away from the venue.

An emotional Eza expressed, "Everything is ruined, I am destroyed." 

Marvel and Trevor comforted her, "Nothing is going to happen, people shall forget this scandal in a few days."

Mrs. Mennigan replied, "No, they won't."
