Chapter 5.. Menacing Ilk..

Pragya di.. open the door.. Can  you hear me.. open the door nah.. Di..!.. Bulbul stood banging the door of Pragya's room continuously.. But there was a was a pin drop silence..

She panicked and dials to Abhi.. But the call didn't connect..

Ma.. Come soon.. Bulbul screamed.. And just then she realised that her ma has gone to one of their relatives wedding and she will be back tomorrow morning..

Di.. Please say something.. You are safe nah.. Asked Bulbul as tears rolled down over her cheeks..

She heard the horn sound of Abhi's car.. And immediately rushed downstairs.. Where she saw Abhi walking  with full rush inside the home and Bulbul  followed him towards Pragya's room..

Abhi banged the door and called Pragya's name.. But nothing worked out.. With no other go..  He broke the door and stormed in to see her room covered fully with smoke.. Bulbul stood hell shocked on seeing the scene.. Because she was in the near by room and was unaware of all these happenings..

She clutched Abhi's arm and closed her nose.. Where they  coughed continuously, since they were not able to withstand the smoke.. They rubbed their because of the irritation, though Abhi turned all around in search of Pragya..

Somehow he reached the window and tried to open it.. But it tightly was jammed.. With much force he pushed it
and the window opened with a rusting sound.. And then slowly.. the smoke disappeared.. Now it was little visible.. they called Pragya's name continuously.. And Bulbul was about to open the washroom door.. But stopped seeing it been locked from outside..

Abhi wandered his eyes  in tension here and there.. Finally he saw her dupatta that was lying under the bed.. He bends down and saw Pragya lying there unconscious..

Pulling her out towards him.. He placed her head over his lap.. and pats her cheeks.. Her face was full of sweat.. She was looking like a lifeless soul.. Abhi could sense her whole body cold as ice.. and her lips were freezed..

Pragya.. Open your eyes.. Look... I'm here.. Open your eyes..!.. Abhi started to let out his worrisome voice  as he couldn't control his tears on seeing her state..

On the other side Bulbul was completely confused looking at her.. Abhi asked her to get some water and lifted Pragya in his arms.. He steps out and rushes towards Bulbul's room..

After few seconds Bulbul came with a glass of water.. In meantime.. Vandhana and Purab entered the place.. They were shocked seeing her..

Almost 20 minutes passed..

Pragya was sitting over the bed and hugged Abhi tightly.. While Bulbul sits next to her..

Be strong Pragya.. Nothing happened.. I'm there right.. Why are you crying..?.. just stop it.. tell me what happened there.. Asks Abhi..

Pragya broke the hug.. and Abhi wiped her tears.. He cups her face and asks again.. Tell me what happened..?!..

I was talking with you.. suddenly smoke filled the room and throttled my throat.. I struggled alot to speak with you.. But my eyes were so irritating due to smoke.. I tried to open the window.. But it closed by itself and I couldn't bare the irritation of the smoke.. And the mobile slipped down and I stumbled.. I don't know what happened after that.. Infact I remember that.. I fell near the window.. But how come.. You found me under the bed..!?..  Asks Pragya

Haan Di.. We found you under the bed.. when we entered your room.. It was filled with smoke.. And then jiju opened the window with much difficulty..
Bulbul said holding her arm..

While Abhi nods his head asking.. Why didn't you run out of your room..?!.. Abhishek.. I couldn't.. I said nah.. The window closed by itself and as well as the door.. Pragya sounded in a high tone..

He gave a tired sight and continued.. What is happening..!?.

Relax Abhi.. We will find out surely.. Pragya.. Did you find anyone near your room..?.. I mean.. Anything very weird or unusual..?!.. Chachi asked looking at her..

No no Chachi..!.. I was speaking to Abhi only.. And if anything like that I would have informed him right.. But haan.. Before I could loss my view.. I saw someone standing near the window..

And the person seemed to be very doomed and menacing.. I don't know whether it is she or he.. But yes.. Someone was there when I was huffing my breath.. Said Pragya to increase the confusion..

And she faced towards Abhi saying.. Abhi.. When I was struggling to breathe.. I switched on the camera.. Like Chachi said.. I tried to switch it on.. And I hope.. I did that..

Without wasting a second.. Abhi and Purab went to her room and pulled the recorded chip out of the camera.. They played the recordings in Bulbul's laptop..

Thank god.. It's recorded..!.. Chachi said patting Pragya's head.. and everyone looked at the footage..

Everything was recorded.. But the footage was not clear because of  smoke.. Where they saw Pragya struggling to hold on the things near by, but she couldn't.. Few seconds she stumbled and then she fell over the floor and near to the window..

And what they saw was shocking to them.. Like Pragya said.. They saw a dark shadowed person standing near her and watching her without any movement.. Abhi pauses and zoomed the image but, it wasn't clear.. he played the video further and the smoke increased.. The shadow was not clear after that.. The smoke started to blur the vision of the camera.. And then nothing was seen.. Abhi forwarded the play and they saw nothing other than smoke.. And after few minutes.. they heard Bulbul's voice who was shouting at Pragya to open the door.. And then what ever happened.. Entry of Abhi and other happenings played in the video..

My God.. Jiju... What was that..!?.. Bulbul asked gasping her breath holding Pragya's hand tightly.. I said nah.. At least now.. please trust my words.. please.. Don't know what is happening with me and who is doing all this..?.. Infact few days ago Abhi too said that it is all my hallucinations.. Isn't Abhi..!?.. Pragya rages her voice looking at him.. 

Abhi nods his head and says.. Haan.. but.. this is.. .. He pauses as Chachi  interrupts saying.. Let it be.. and here after do as I say.. Pragya should not stay here anymore..

To not stay here means..?!.. What are you saying Chachi..?.. Bulbul asks and she said.. You both will stay in our home.. Says Vandhana..

But Chachi.. Ma..!.. Pragya stresses her voice and she says.. I will speak with your mom.. But not now.. Bulbul.. pack both of your dresses and all the needy things.. We will leave now.. She said looking at Bulbul.. And Bulbul looked at Pragya who gestured her as yes..

In Abhi's home..

Praga hugs Tanu.. who consoled her saying.. We all are with you Pragya..just  relax.. okay.. Pragya parts away from her and nods with a soft smile..

She wandered her eyes here
and there.. where Bulbul and Purab were chit chatting with each other.. while Abhi was busy with a call..

Pragya.. Chachi didn't come with you.. where is Chachi..?!.. Asks Tanu.. Don't know Tanu.. when we started from our home.. She left in her car saying that.. she has an important work to complete.. and so she asked us to reach home safely.. Replied Pragya..

Meanwhile the servant came there saying that.. the guest room is ready..

Abhi asked Prgya and Bulbul to stay in guest room.. And Tanu said.. Fine.. let me leave.. it's already very late..

But Tanu.. why are you leaving..  It's very late and I can't take risk by sending you to hostel at this night.. better stay here.. Abhi said strictly..

And Tanu Said.. It's okay Abhi..
I mean.. whenever I stay here.. I will take the guest room.. And now.. Pragya and Bulbul are staying there.. So.. I will leave..

Bulbul gave a mocking sight hearing her words and Pragya said.. That's okay Tanu.. You can stay with us.. We have no issues with you staying with us.. Isn't Bulbul..?!..

Bulbul nods her head with a forced smile..

Fine.. have a cool night girls.. Said Abhi and walked upstairs.. as well as Purab..

In another place..

Vandhana was returning to home in her car.. she was looking much upset.. and recalled whatever happened so far.. And the video they saw was more and more disturbing her..

She got a call and asked the driver to stop the car.. She asked him to wait outside the car for few minutes.. And once he stepped down.. she attended the call.. Checking on with the driver continuously..

***In Mobile..

Where were you, when I called you..!?. You know what happened today..?..

I'm so sorry.. was little busy with office work.. But everything is fine right.. Abhi is fine nah..!?..

Arun.. nothing is fine here..
Vandhana said him everything and on the other side.. he was hell shocked.. While she continued.. And you know what..  just now.. I met him.. And he said that..

Said what Vandhana..!?..
asked Arun..

He.. he said that the marriage should happen in next ten days.. and.. .. She paused.. as he cuts off her and says.. please don't say that.. I know what you are gonna say..

That's the truth nah.. Listen.. so far I did as said by you.. And see what happened now.. Just try to understand Arun.. We can't change the fate right.. can we..!?.. Now what has to happen should happen.. And why we need to worry.. when we have Pragya with us..!.. Says Vandhana..

Vandhana.. don't say like this please.. Don't you think.. this will increase the trouble..?.. I'm worried for Abhi and Pragya.. Arun asks in an annoying tone..

Please Arun.. Stop being pessimistic.. This time everything will happen as per my wish.. And I fully trust Pragya.. Abhi and Pragya will get married.. That's it.. And no matter what happens.. As I said.. I have trust on Pragya.. Vandhana replied in a stern voice..

Whatever..  But let me tell this.. If anything happens to Abhi nah.. I swear.. you will not get my forgiveness.. says Arun..

Oh shut up Arun..!.. Don't forget that.. I too care for Abhi and I love him as my own son.. He is my son.. Vandana says.. While Arjun listen to her quietly.. And she continued.. One more thing.. You have to come India..
Enough of all your business stuff.. It's time for you to hold your family's responsibility..

And Arun said.. I know that Vandhana.. and after knowing whatever happened there.. I don't think I should stay away from you all anymore.. I have decided that.. I will be there in one or two days..

Thank God.. finally.. And I won't inform this to anyone.. let your arrival  be a surprise for them.. Vandhana said and disconnected the call..

It was almost mid of the night..

Prgya was sleeping on the center of the bed..and to her either sides, Bulbul and Tanu were sleeping..

Bulbul woke up to have some water.. after which, she lied over the bed.. where she was facing the mirror side.. She blinked her eyes.. as she saw someone standing.. She slides her head and cornered her eyes towards the mirror.. Gathering all her courage.. she lifted her head and what she saw was unbelievable..

Tanu was standing with a pillow in her hand and was about to press Pragya's face.. Without wasting a second.. She screamed her voice.. Prgaya di..!..

She rubbed her eyes and gasped in shock as she saw Pragya and Tanu sleeping..

Oh no.. that was my dream.. It's good that it was a dream.. But.. this is not a good dream..!.. Tanu.. How could she..?.. Bulbul muses her worried thoughts and stepped down and had a glance at Tanu.. and then Pragya..

I always have such vibes around her.. and I'm keep on warning di, tobe aware of Tanu.. And this time .. I'm so scared alot.. She minds her insights as her eyes stuck over something.. which made her to jerk.. She saw the same engagement ring which went missing on the day of Pragya and Abhi's engagement.. She was about to wake Pragya but stopped as she saw Tanu shrinking her eyes in sleep..

Bulbul quickly settles lying next to Pragya.. and pretended to sleep.. But opens her eyes slightly.. Where she saw Tanu stepping down from the bed..

She looked at both the sisters.. and gave a ilk smirk.. And then walked out of the room.. While Bulbul followed her..!..

She saw Tanu entering inside Abhi's room.. Bulbul was shocked and at the same time confused striking.. why did she step into Abhi's room..?..

She rushes and was about to knock the door.. but stopped thinking.. No.. Let me bring di here.. It's not that I doubt jiju.. But.. di should know.. who Tanu is at real.. And what I saw today.. Di should know everything..

She runs to the guest room and saw Pragya, who was in her deep sleep..

Waking her up.. She said everything and  Pragya didn't pay any heed to her.. Bulbul.. what are you saying.. Don't be silly.. Let me sleep nah..

Come on di.. This is not the time for you to sleep.. There Tanu is wandering around jiju and you wanna sleep here.. Bulbul scowls in a low tone..

Pragya sighs with a irk and says.. Stop accusing her lamely Bulbul.. Once Abhi said that.. Tanu is a less sleeper.. she mostly never sleeps at night.. May be she would have gone to terrace.. You please sleep and let me to sleep..

Believe me di.. I swear on you.. And also the ring, which went missing on your engagement day, is with Tanu.. I saw her wearing it.. Trust me di.. Bulbul gasps in between her words.. While Pragya shrinks her eyes at her and Bulbul continues.. Just now, I saw her going into jiju's room.. Please.. come with me.. please di.. Bulbul pleaded her..

And with no other go.. Pragya walked out the room along with her..

They slowly walked near his room.. and Bulbul gestured Pragya to open the door.. While she did so.. They walked into his room silently and were shocked to see the sight before them..
