Dream; a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep.

"Winter if you want to come you better hurry!" My father called from down the stairs, he was going to the store which was about half an hour from my town, I wanted to get some new headphones, also I wanted to spend time with my dad. He worked a lot lately and we aren't as close as we use to I was planning on starting to fix that.
I flick the light switch as I leave my room, the comforting warm light vanishing leaving nothing but complete darkness.
I hop down the soft carpeting of the stairs to meet my dad at the rustic front door.
"Why have you chosen to go so late?" I ask as he walks to me from the kitchen.

"It's the only time I've been able to." He says and kisses my forehead.
I shrug it off and open the door, the crisp cool air hits me, blowing a few strands of my blonde hair softly around. Pitch black... that was all I saw, it was entrancing, I couldn't pry my eyes off of the darkness. A sudden light startles me as I'm now able to see my porch and drive way, of course it was just my dad turning on the porch light. The soft sound of clinking keys filled my ears as my dad shook them and walked outside. "Let's go."

He opens the passengers door for me and I climb in, the car as cold as outside, I sigh and I hazy cloud appears in front of my mouth. My dad climbs into the car and turns the key, making the car roar to life. I quickly reach for the thermostat and turn the heat up.
My dad pulls out of the drive way and onto the dark, forest surrounded road.

I pressed my forehead against the cool glass of the window and looked up at the skyscraper like trees, they peered down at me, their trunks blurring past as the car moved. Wait, what was that. A pair of glowing orbs appear in the blur and a let out a short squeak.
"Are you alright?" My dad asks turning his head for a second to look at me before refocusing on the road.
I shake my head "I'm fine, just my mind playing tricks on me."
He nods and puts his hand on my knee "I'm glad you came with me, I've missed talking to you."
I just nod, I was to busy looking out into the forest of this blissful car ride.
"I mean it." He adds turning his head again.
"Me to dad." I says looking forward.
I saw the head lights first, the world at this point going in slow motion, I tilt my head and realize, the car in front of us is on the wrong side of the road.
"Dad!" I scream and point toward my father turns and blares on the horn.
The headlights, the blinding, evil headlights became the only thing I could see.
This has got to be a dream, yes that's it a dream. I put my arms up to cover my face as the world became fast again. I whipped forward in my seat than slammed back, the loud scream of metal on metal filled my ears. I couldn't say anything, I couldn't talk I couldn't scream. I was no longer in control of my body as everything around me became hazy and then nothing.
Light and then dark
Happiness and then sadness
Everything and then nothing.
