Imagine working on a case with Sherlock

Imagine working on a case with Sherlock

[Where are you?]. Send.

You texted to the unknown number you'd just had a strange message off. You'd just been sent the coordinates to an empty factory off this unknown number, and of course, having been working with Sherlock for several months, automatically assumed it was him. You had to walk the rest of the way on foot after the taxi dropped you off, as the area had been fenced off and derelict for years. You'd entered the building through a broken window, and now stood in the middle of this factory, looking down at your phone, waiting for a reply. Your phone bleeped.

Open. [What is always behind you, that can multiply, but never leave you?].

A riddle? Great; one of Sherlocks funny games you thought. You stood there for a while, thinking it through before replying.

[A shadow]. Send.

Several minutes passed and still nothing. You decided to text back again.

[Where are you?]. Send.

You immediately received a text back.

Open. [Like a shadow].

You open the picture that was attached to the message and your heart stopped. It was a picture of you from behind, but with a gun in the shot, trained at the back of your head. "Like a rabbit, you have walked right into my trap", a voice said behind you as they cocked the gun. You swallow hard, and slowly turn around to face them. There he was, Moriarty, the man you had been trying to track down for months. "Y/N, so nice to finally meet. I've been watching you watching me watching you", he smiled offering out his hand to you whilst still having the gun pointed at you. "He knows I'm here", you whisper slyly to him, refusing to take his hand. "No he doesn't, otherwise it would be him standing here, and not you", he said smiling, gesturing to you. "Or perhaps I'm already here!", a voice shouts from the far end of the factory. You quickly spin around and see Sherlock there, standing there in his trench coat. "Oh, how nice of you to join us for the party!", Moriarty shouts, as several armed men step out from behind the machines dotted around the factory, training their guns onto Sherlock. "Sherlock!", you shout as you try to run to him. "No so fast Y/N, it's your party too!", Moriarty shouts, grabbing hold of your hair and pulling you back, placing the gun against your forehead. "I wouldn't do that if I were you!", Sherlock shouts, attempting to step forward towards you, only to get a warning shot fired close by him causing him to stop. "And why not?", Moriarty hisses, bringing his face next to yours, tightening his grip on you, pushing the gun harder into your head. "The force of the bullet being fired at that close a distant will bounce off the skull, sending fragments hurtling at you at a speed of almost 200mph. They will hit you most likely in your eye rendering you blind for life. Your suit is new, most recently dry cleaned. It's one of your favourites as the worn cuffs show you like to wear it a lot, and don't like getting it dirty, which is what will happen if you were to pull the trigger". Sherlock rattled this off at an alarming speed, which you were used to by now, but even you struggled to keep up.

Beep. You glance down at your phone, and see a text. "Give that here", Moriarty says, grabbing the phone off you, throwing you down to the floor, pointing his gun at you still.

Open. [The game is on. SH].

Sherlock smiles at you, before looking back up at Moriarty. "Anything wrong?", he asks, holding his arms out to see that he doesn't have anything in his hands. Moriarty starts laughing, like a little girls laugh, before just turning around and walking away. "The game has only just begun Sherlock", he shouted over his shoulder, as the armed men also followed him out, leaving you both alone. "Well, that worked out better than I planned", Sherlock said, coming over to you and helping you up. "You just made all that up didn't you". "Yes, of course I did Y/N, I'm not that clever, keep up", he replied, looking at you with a smug grin. "We nearly had him too this time", you say, a tad disappointed. "Hey, chin up", he says, lifting up your chin, smiling at you. "The game has only just begun".
