#68

So, here's the one you've been waiting for. It's basically all of Sherwood  Forest  in one story so it's sort of like the Him one (#58) and yeah. So, do not go back and read the other Sherwood Forest ones because they will have little to no connection, other than the fact that it's about Sherwood Forest, to this one. Enjoy!

IMAGINE  YOURSELF...

Sitting on the edge of your bed with a bewildered look on your face. Your mouth is slightly left ajar, your eyes are widened, and your tying to process what your best friend had just told you. He's joking, right? He didn't just say...he couldn't have had...

"You're joking, right?" You asked, desperately hoping he would burst out laughing and begin to mock your face but he didn't. His lips stayed pursed as he stepped forward and his eyes had a deadly serious look in them He didn't speak but only nodded. You shook your head hoping this was just a dream, that you would soon wake up to the fresh smell of pancakes and bacon.

But it wasn't a dream.

"B-b-but...no," you shook your head. "You can't just do that!" Your reaction, not only surprised yourself but, surprised Trevor, too. Normally, you would be happy that he found a girl that actually liked him, he wasn't normally r the first person you would choose to date, but this was different.

Anger swirled through your body like a storm. You soon found yourself standing up and smacking him. He was definitely taken back as he held his now reddening cheek.

"Are you awake?! Are you back to your normal  self?! What is wrong with you?!" He stayed silent,  still in shock from what you had just done. You sat back on your bed with your head in your hands. Tears threatened to fall as you mumbled to yourself.

"He can't be dating a freak from th-"

"She's not a freak!" He shouted speaking up. You were surprised. He had never looked so angry in his life. His hands were clenched into fists at his sides, his face was red, and his eyes showed so much emotion.

"The what is she?" You stood up. "She's either a freak or a witch! Is that what she did to you? Did she give you some kind of love potion or something?!"

"She isn't either of those things! What?! Did you think that she'd have to be some sort of creature to love me?!" His words broke you down. It was the one thing that he had been waiting for his whole life; love. No girl had ever shown any signs of affection towards him, except in the fifth grade. But fifth grade was years ago and he hasn't had a real relationship. Now that he has, you were putting him down for it. You should've been grateful that someone had finally taken intrest in him, but there was still that knotted up feeling in your stomach.

You shifted from foot ot foot feeling guilty. The slience and tension were so thick that you could cut through it with a butterknife. But you decided to use words instead.

"I'm sorry, I just got a little overwhelmed since she as from, you know, Sherwood Forest." He nodded while rubbing his arm.

"Yeah, I guess I was overreacting a bit, too. You know, all the rumours about that place aren't true." You sat back down on your bed and he did the same.

"Oh, really?" He nodded and his eyes filled with wonder.

"Yeah, there are no witches. But there are fairies, gnomes, giant tree gardians that rise from the ground! Oh, and there are Unicorns!" He looked like a child, telling stories of what he had 'seen' in the forest. You stared into his eyes but couldn't hear a word that he was saying. He went on, telling you about some weird bunnies. You had felt the weird feeling in your stomach again. You had been feeling this way lately.

"You should come." Your eyes widened at the words that had just fallen from his mouth. He realized what your reaction meant and his eyes widened too.

"You want me to go into that witch filled forest?!"

"I told you already, there are no witches, plus-"

"There is no way I am ever going to step one foot into that place!" You cut him off.

"But you need to meet her!" He pouted and you shook your head making it clear that there was no way that you were ever going to go into that place.

"Nope."

You bit nervously at your fingernails pondreing how Trevor had gotten you into the car. You stared out the window and suddenly felt another wave of nerves hit you as you passed outside of the city limits. You felt a warm hand against your kneee and you looked over at Trevor. He smiled.

"Don't worry," He seemed to read your mind, "We'll be alright." You nodded still feeling the waves of doubt running through your mind. What if the tree gardians forget who Trevor is and attack? What if the gnomes steal my clothes? What if-

Your thoughts were cutt off by the feeling of the car jolting to a stop. You looked over at Trevor with a raised eyebrow and you could see the excitement in his eyes.

"We're here." This was it. You were finally going to meet the reason why your best friend barely sees you anymore, the reson your best friend goes off into his imagination all the time, and the reaason you got knots in your stomach.

You opened the car door and hesitated before stepping out. You waited for something to pop out at you, or jump on you, or even a weird feeling but nothing happened. You opened your eyes to see a confused Trevor staring at you. You blushed with embarressment and got up.

"You're so weird." He said with a smirk but grabbed your hand pulling you closer to the forest. You gulped seeing where the road stopped and there was nothing, not even a trail. You took the first step feeling twigs crunch under your shoes yet, still, nothing happened. You felt the warmth of Trevor's hand in yours decease and he now stood still. You wondered what he was doing but he then cupped his hands over his mouth.

"Alvina!" He yelled loudly causing you to flinch slightly. There was nothing. All that could be heard was the rustling of leaves in the wind and the soft sound of birds twirping. "Alvina!" He called again. Still Nothing. You placed a hand on his shoulder and gave him a sad smile.

"I guess she's not comi-" You were cut off by a big 'woosh' behing you. You both tured to see the most beautiful girl you had ever seen. She had long, slightly curled, blonde hair that stopped right at her elbows, deep brown eyes that could melt your heart and...wings? She had two long wings, that look like they were from eagles, that seened to be connected to her back.

But...that's impossible...You thought to yourself mesmerized. So mesmerized that you didn't notice Trevor running up to her and engulfing her in a long hug. He whispered something and she whipsered something back. He then pressed his lips to her forehead for a few seconds than pulled away.

"(Y

)," His voice brought you out of your trance. "This is my girlfriend, Alvina." Alvina walked forward and you subconsiously stepped back. She looked confused for a moment but then a hurt expression flashed on her face. She ooked back at Trevor, as if asking if it were okay, and he nodded so that she turned back to me. She took amother step forward. You took one back.

"There's no reason to fear me," Her voice was soft anf felt like faling onto a big warm bed. But you still didn't trust her. "I'm not going to hurt you, I promise." She stepped forward once again and this time, you didn't step back. She let out a relived sigh and stuck out her hand.

"Trevor has told me so much about you." You both said at the same time. She burst out lauging but you, on th other hand, thought it was some sort of weird sorcery. You pulled your hand back and heard Trevor walk up.

The knots had began to grow in your stomach once again and you felt a weird type of anger consume your mind.

"I'm (Y/n)," You hissed causing her giggling fit to stop. But she brushed off your rude tone and a smile grew back on her face.

"You're really pretty." She said and you stuck up your nose.

"I wish I could say the smae thing about you." a gasp escaped both TrevorLs and her mouth. Trevor sent you a glare and squeezed Alvnina's hand.

"Uh, could you excuse us for a moment." She nodded and walked over to a fallen log and sat on it. Trevor crossed his arms over his chest and glared at you.

"What?" You asked wondering exactly what his problem was.

"What was that?!" He whisper yelled while gesturing wildly. You shrugged.

"What was what?" His eyes widened and an eyebrow arched.

"Don't you dare play dumb with me, you know what you did!" You looked over his shoulder to see Alvina giggling at a hot guy. The hot guy had his hand out and water was levitating above it. Your eyes widened and Trevor also looked back. His face turned red  and he glared over at the two. You smirked.

"Looks like eagle girl over there is digging water boy." He shot you a glare and crossed his arms over his chest.

"They're just friends, Alvina said." But you could hear the insecurity in his voice. You decided to use this as your pathway out of this weird forest.

"Do 'just friends' get as close as that?" You questioned seeing that his arm was now over her shoulder. You could tell Trevor was getting jealous because you could see his arms tense.

"She's probably just cold." You raised an eyebrow in mock confusion.

"But aren't boyfriends supposed to warm up their girlfriends by doing that?" You could tell it was working. Trevor pondered for a moment while staring at the two. The water boy was playing with the hem of Alvina's  dress. This drove Trevor crazy and he stormed away with you following. The other two didn't seem to notice.

You two drive the car away as fast as possible. You could see that Trevor was sad so you placed as hand on his shoulder.

"She wasn't worth it, I knew she wasn't." He sighed while rubbing one of his eyes. His voice was low and fragile.

"They were just friends. She told me that there was nothing to worry about." You sighed continuing to caress his shoulder.

"Hey, we'll talk about this when we get home, right now, just focus on driving." He nodded sadly and placed his other hand back on the steering wheel.

He slumped over his ice cream with a pout. You sat beside trying to find the TV remote. He slurped up another chunk of the flavored ice and sighed. You hated seeing him this way and, thankfully, you had only seen him this way once before. It was when his old girlfriend had dumped him. He loved her with all of his heart; he would buy her flowers 'just because', surprise her, and shower her with presents. You couldnLt help but envy the relationship they had. But, what you didn't realize was that you really envied what she had; Tevor.

Anyways, he had randomly appeared on your doorstep. His eyes were red and puffy, tear stains cover his cheeks, and his hair was a mess. You quickly ushered him in and he explained how she was just using him for money. You literally wanted to beat the girl's face off but decided that you would rather go without a night in jail. You had given him icecream and watched chickflicks with him.

"Now I see," You remembered him saying. "You girls are so smart, icecream really is good for the heart."

You giggled slightly at the memory but sighed when you couldn't find the remote. You sat beside him on the couch and he looked over at you with a pout.

"No chick-flicks?" You sighed with a shake of your head.

"Nope, I couldn't find the remote. But we can still talk." He nodded. "Tell me how you feel." You said  while facing him. He sniffled before speaking.

"I feel...sad." And then a sob racked through his body. You hated to see him like this so you hugged him. He hugged back while crying on your shoulder.

After a little bit, he cries slowed and the tears stopped flowing. You pilled away slightly and looked him in the eyes.

"No girl should have ever hurt you like that." He still looked sad.

"But there are no gorls in the world that will love me. Every girl that I have ever loved has never loved me back." You took in a deep breath before speaking.

"What about me?" You asked and he looked confusesd. "I've loved you this whole time and you never noticed. I've been waiting, Trevor." He was silent for a moment but then spoke.

"I love-" He was cut off by the doorbell going off. You sighed irratated and slowly got up to get it. You opened the door to see someone that you weren't expecting.

It was Alvina.

She had a big jacket that covered up her wings and she stood with a hurt expression.

"What do you want?" You hissed and she sighed while playing with her fingers.

"I-is Trevor here?" You saw her look over your sholder as if she were trying to see if he were there. You blocked her vision and frowned.

"Why would you want to know? Wouldn't you rather be off with that water boy?" You saw her face flush and realization covered her face.

"Is that why you two left? I thouht I did something wrong." You arched an eyebrow and looked at her with disbelief.

"Oh, so flirting with another guy while your boyfriend can see you is no longer wrong?" She looked surprised.

"What? I was not flirting with him! He no more than  friend to me and he has a girlfriend himself!" You rolled you eyes at her protests.

"Sure, he does. And Jack Frost is my boyfriend." She looked confused but then a voice called from within the house.

"Who's at the door, (Y/n)?" Trevor's Voice rang through all the way to the front door. Without hesitation, Alvina pushed passed you and ran straight inside. You followed her not wanting her to cause more damage than she already has.

"Alvina?" You heard Trevor ask. "WHat are you doing here? People might ee your wings!" You heard concern in his voice and sighed.

"I came to see you. You had left so quicly that I didn't get to ask why. I thought that I had did something wrong." Time seemed to come back to Trevor and a frown grew on his face.

"You did! You were all up on that Meiko guy!" So that's his name. You thought. Alvina also frowned.

"I was not 'all up on' him! He was just telling me what hapened with his girlfriend!"

"Well, why was he touching you dress?!"

"Becuase he said it looked nice!"

Everything went silent. he stared at her with eyes softening by the second. Alvina was puffing from all the breath she had lost from yelling. You were watching wondering what would happen next.

"I-I-I-" Trevor trie to speak but he couldn't find any words. Without any warning, Trevor softly pressed his lips against hers.

You could literally feel your heart break. No No No! You though, He was about to say that he loved me! If she wouldn't have came, I would be the one kissing him now!

Her jacket slowly fell from her shoulders, as they continued to kiss, revealing her wings. It was then that you felt the most horrible anger rise within you. You just wanted to tear off her wings and watched her cry. You wanted to mak her disappear so that Trevor was all yours.

But you didn't do it.

Years passed and you looked at yourself in the mirror. You made sure that you looked perfect for this one one of the most important days of Trevor's life.

He was getting married.

You were going to the wedding that was being held in Sherwood Forest. Trevor seemed to forget all thet you had said the day you had told him that you loved him. He didn't see you as anything more than a friend. And you had begun to accept that.

But it did stiil hurt, evey now and thwn, when you saw him and Alvina hug, kiss, or even shared a smile. Because you knew that you would never be able to fell his arms wrap around you as tight as they did to her, you would never feel his lips press against yours, and you knew that you would never be able to make him smile like she did.

Every single creature you could have ever thought of was a t the wedding. Elves, Dragons, Fairies, goblins, and even a mermaid. You sat at  your assigned seat eager to see what would happen. You looked to the side to see the water boy, from before, cuddling close to a dark haired girl. You sighed at the memory but ther ceremony began.

You cried whenever slightly when the vows were exchanged, and smiled brightly when you saw Trevor crying from how happy he was. He was happy and that was all that mattered to you.
