Hello, how are you? Enjoy!
IMAGINE YOURSELF. ..
Sitting on the edge of a street corner. You hold your face on your hands as the quiet sobs rack your small frame. You cursed yourself noticing the short red dress you had on and the stench of achohol. You were having one of those nights. Lately, you've been having them more often. You would go out to the nearest bar or club, drink til you couldn't feel the slightest thing, hook up with some guy, then cried your eyes out. It's not like you wanted this but every night the urge took you over.
No, I can't be like him...but I am. I'm just like him.
You thought as another sob shook through your chest. Shame was all you felt. You didn't want to be like him and did everything in your power to prevent it. But, little did you know, that was exactly what got you there in the first place. You didn't want to get drunk almost every night and not be able to re,ember what happened the next morning. You didn't want to have everyone look at you and know exactly who you were because you had slept with them the night before.
You didn't want to be like your father.
But there you were, drowning your sorrows in beer, once again, and blaming everyone else in the world because of it. When you were younger, you wished to be a weather woman. You had always had a fascination with the weather outside and the local weather woman on TV you saw every morning. You wanted to be the one that everyone looked to for what to wear that day, whether it be a sandals or rainboots, you wanted to be the one everyone depended on. But you couldn't even depend on yourself.
You were determined to stop the habit. That's what you told yourself each day but when the night came, those thoughts were forgotten and you found yourself sipping on the drink.
Across the street, a man saw you. You saw him. In fact, you saw him every night. He was homeless and lived in the alley across from you. He had never said anything but you could see pity in his eyes. And every time you saw the pity in your eyes, you felt yourself fall further into your new lifestyle. But his time was different. He was walking towards you but your didn't bother to look up. You felt a hand on your shoulder and looked up to see the man.
"It's alright, my dear, you'll get through this."
