Sorry for not updating yesterday, I was pulling some all-nighters for big school project. Guess what! I just won two spelling bees at my school. I have to go to one more but YAY! I WON TWO SPECIAL BEES! Just ask SP, she used to edit my stories, this is a big accomplishment. (This is SparkleWolf hijacking GG's story for a moment and I can verify that she was a horrendous speller. Okay continue) I had to use spell check for accomplishment. And one girl, at this youth group I go to pernounces percabeth like perCAbeth, like, with the hard c. I tried to correct her but she was like "That's not grammatically correct." And I was like, "Grammer doesn't apply to ship names, duh.". The Beginning takes place when you are seven. Enjoy!
IMAGINE YOURSELF...
Running up a hill. It was a warm autumn day and your parents decided to go on a picnic. You had just gotten out of the car, while your parents were unpacking stuff, and ran up the grassy feild. Daisy's were scattered everysgere, and as much as you loved it, that wasn't what caught your attention. In front of you stood a large well. It was made of stones and, to you, looked absolutely magical. You reached into your dress pocket, remembering the story you had once heard about a magic well. You pulled out the one penny you had and stood on your tippy toes to reach over the top of the well. You dropped the coin in and wished the first thing that popped into your head. I wish for a friend! I wish, I wish, I wish! Suddenly, you heard a Crack behind you. You opened your squeezed shut eyes and spun around. You saw someone duck behind a tree causing you to cock your head to the side.
"Hello?" You asked. There was no answer but you knew there was someone behind the tree. "I know you're behind there! Just come out, I won't hurt you!" With that a boy around your age stepped out from behind the tree. He had short brown hair and his eyes. His eyes were nothing like you have ever seen before. They weren't green, brown, blue, or gray. They were gold. You gasped thinking that this boy's eyes were just like your gold crayon. You stepped toward him.
"Hi, I'm (y/n)." You smiled brightly and you saw a small smile creep on his face.
"Hi, I'm David." He then pushed his hand out and in it was a daisy. "I got this for you." You smiled took it from his hand. You then engulfed him in a hug.
"Thank you so much," you pulled away, "wanna be friends?"
"No," you looked up at him feeling sad. "I wanna be best friends." You smiled and hugged him again.
"We're gonna be the bestest friends in the whole worl-"
"(Y/n)," Your mother's voice cut you off. "(Y/n), the picnics ready! Get down here!" You giggled and grabbed David's hand.
"Coming Mom!" You yelled then pulled David. "Come on," he laughed and followed.
Once you got down there, you saw the red picnic blanket and small picnic basket. You smiled at your parents before announcing you new best friend.
"Mom, Dad, this is David." You gestured towards him. They looked confused at first and then your mother whispered something in your father's ear.
"Oh," your dad spoke up hesitantly, "uh, David right. It's, uh, nice to meet you." You smiled as your mother also said hi.
Years past and you and David became closer. He didn't go to your school but he visited often. You were now in middle school and had new friends. You were telling them about David when they all shared glances.
"Is he cute?" One of your friends asked. You shrugged and took a bite of your cookie.
"I don't know, but I do like his gold eyes." All your friend stopped eating and stared at you. "What?" They all exchanged glances and your friend spoke up again.
"(Y/n), that's impossible!" You raised an eyebrow. "No one can have gold eyes."
"Well, he does, I mean, I've known him for six years, I'm pretty sure I know what color eyes he has." She rolled her eyes.
"Listen to me, no one in this world has gold eyes."
You sighed while sitting on your bed. David was coming over to your house for movie night but what your friend had said was stuck in your mind. Does he really have gold eyes? There was a tap on your window. You looked over to see David. He always came through the window, it was just him. You opened it up allowing him to come through. You sat back on your bed and laid on your back. You felt the spot beside you sink in.
"What are you thinking about?" David asked while lying his head down next to yours. You turned over to face him. You studied his eyes noticing that they were, indeed, gold. You blinked hoping that maybe your eyes were playing tricks on you.
"(Y/n/n)," David called you by your nickname while waving his hand in front of your face. "There's a spider!" You jumped up and ran farthest away from the bed. David laughed while standing up. You furrowed your eyebrows and crossed your hands over your chest.
"David! You don't just scare someone." He sat back on the bed.
"Well, you wouldn't answer when I called you." You sat next to him on the bed. "What we're you thinking about?" You looked back at his eyes hoping they would be a normal color. Nope, gold.
"Why are your eyes gold?" He raised an eyebrow.
"I don't know, why are your eyes (y/e/c)?" You shrugged.
Years past, you friends deserted you thinking that you were a weirdo. David continued to visit but not as much. Soon, he just stopped coming. You didn't know where he lived or which school he went to and you didn't have his phone number. He just disappeared. To make matters even worse, your parents died in a car crash. You had no other family members do you were sent to an orphanage. You spent the rest of your life as a teen being transferred from house to house, family to family.
You had just spent your twentieth birthday alone. You didn't even bother to buy a cake. You still had no friends, yeah, you had a job, but it wasn't what you were looking for. And since you were being transferred to different places you transferred to new schools. And with the new learning styles and dtuff, your grades dropped. You decided, that since it was your birthday, you'd go back to the well. You drove to the same park with the hill and daisies. You approached the well with tears in your eyes. Memories flooded your head causing you to cry. With a sniffle, you pulled out a penny from your pocket. You dropped it in the well and closed your eyes. I wish for some one to love me. There was a snap behind you. You snapped back around.
"David?" You whispered. Someone walked out from behind a tree. You wouldn't have guessed that it was David but you the eyes. His gold eyes. He walked over to you and put out his hand. In his hand was a daisy. You grabbed it from his hand and crumpled it up. Where sadness once was, anger now replaced it.
"Where were you?" You yelled. He looked taken back. You stepped forward. "Where were you?! You left when I needed you the most! You were supposed to be my friend!"
"That was the problem!" He said. "I couldn't just be your friend. You wished for a friend but I wanted to be more than just a friend. So, I was cut off. I wasn't allowed to be with you because I was no longer your wish. I was no longer your friend." You looked at him wide-eyed. "And now that you asked for someone to love you, well, here I am. And, well, I love you."
So, that's where you stood for the next ten minutes. You stood in each other's embrace. You enjoyed his warmth and just the feeling of someone hugging you. And he enjoyed you. Just you. Every single thing about you because he wasn't imaginary like your friends had thought, or your parents, he was real, his gold eyes were real, and his love for you was real.
Super long one for not updating
