Your OTP really were opposites. A was a sweet ballet dancer with perfect grades, a strict family and a severe but comfortable upbringing. B was a heavy metal fan who didn't give a fuck about anything.

When B meets C, A offers to help them by going out in disguise. When B insults A, they go off in a huff. Later, B meets A in a pub, dressed as a "metal head". C ends up rejecting B and B, listening to music, ends up deafening themselves, unable to see a band they wanted to see.

Instead, B goes to watch A's dance recital and cries during the performance. When A reveals that they have tickets to see the band, B joins them, despite being unable to hear.

The next morning, their hearing is back, and they are okay. B realised A likes them, and they like them back.

After establishing a relationship, A's father is persuaded to remove A from college and go to a private school, as their grades are dropping. B persuades A to marry them, but at the altar, A's father agrees to let A stay, and therefore, they don't get married.

Time goes on, and bit by bit they fall more and more in love.

Then, A is involved in a car accident.

B goes to the hospital to see them all the time, but A's father doesn't allow them access. B receives "calls" from A, asking to see them, and soon finds out that A's father has taken A to Switzerland. Upset by this, B goes into A's empty house, watching videos of A's childhood.

B tries to raise money in order to go to Switzerland to see their love by hosting a party. It is at the party that they see A, and that night, they make love.

When B wakes up the next morning, A is nowhere. The house is trashed from the party, and outside is B's phone. It rings, and they pick up.

B: Hello?
A: I had to go.
B: Yeah, why?
A: You know why, [B's name].
B: No ... [pause] come back.
A: [laughs softly] I can't ... Isn't everything beautiful this morning? Everything is so beautiful.
B: I don't understand.
A: I love you, [B's name].

The phone hangs up. When B looks down at the phone, they see that the whole time, their phone was smashed to pieces.

B goes inside, and sees A's father on the stairs. A's father reveals that A died yesterday. They had never woken from their coma, and their father had switched off the life support. The reason they took A to Switzerland was to see if they could be woken up.

The whole time, B was imaging A's phone calls, and the night they made love.
