16 》Applying a PSD
Hey guys! This is Rose aka -ambedo- here!
I'm going to tell you how to apply a PSD over an image. Unfortunately this is only for photoshop users and not for app users.
Most beginners don't know what a PSD is.
Well, what is a PSD?
PSD, which stands for Photoshop Document, is the default format that Photoshop uses for saving data. PSD is a proprietary file that allows the user to work with the images' individual layers even after the file has been saved.
I stole that from google hehe
But some of you may not know that a PSD is also a type of filter. It can be applied on other pictures and graphics. You can download PSDs from deviantart or you can even make your own one!
How to apply a PSD on your graphic:
It's actually very easy.
Step 1: Open your psd document and the picture that you want to apply it on.
Step 2: Group the layers in your PSD document if they aren't already grouped.
(Select all the layers and press Ctrl+ G to group the layers)
Step 3: Turn off the visibility of the layer which has the picture in it.
Step 4: Make sure you have both the documents open side by side.
Step 5: Now just drag and drop the group in the PSD document into your graphic.
The last step can be a bit confusing but try it and you'll figure it out!
Here's an example of a picture with a PSD on and without one.

Tip: Try not to use PSD's for everything. Make manual adjustments. It might help your graphic look more professional.
Hope this helped you!
