A/n: A BTS x Harry Potter/ Wizarding World by J.K. Rowling crossover (not my first but definitely the most obvious crossover).
The story is set in an AU where the seven members of BTS are actually brothers and have been born and brought up in the UK as immigrants and they are Wizards in training.
For the true BTS ARMIES: You'll know why I wrote this crossover fanfiction if you're a Potterhead as well! (Just like me!)
⚠️Note: that means they all have the same surname and the 95s are twins. Also, some of the favourites in the Harry Potter series may just make an entrance.
⚠️Note that I won't be taking into consideration the events of the 'Cursed Child' in this crossover.

Around the kitchen table during lunch
"The Hogwarts Express!" My brother exclaimed. "Ssi-bal... I completely forgot tomorrow is September 1st." Jimin hyung swore, pushing his glasses up the bride of his nose, though he seemed a little confused.
He's lucky our eldest brother didn't hear him. No one wants to ever be caught swearing in our household, or outside, by our Seokjin hyung; especially if it is a Korean swear word! Our eldest brother, or as we prefer calling him, Jin hyung, is more likely to excuse any swearing in English.
"As representatives of the ancient Korean wizards, it is our duty by birth to make a good impression of our ancestors. Especially after considering the honour that has been etched to our name after what mother and father have achieved." Jin hyung would often remind us.
My other brothers and I have lacked for nothing in terms of parenting, since Jin hyung was as good as any parent, if not more nurturing and caring than others.
"Mind your language Jimin hyung..." I said, reminding the fifth eldest member in our household. However, despite all of Jin hyung's lectures about family honour and upholding the family name, Jimin hyung often got away with swearing in our native language. Even when he was at school.
It wasn't fair.
I guess it was because he was one of the brightest in our family. Many people in our community even compared his achievements to that of Percy Weasley!
Although, Jin hyung's ex-manager, the actual Percy Weasley, was a humble man and took no credit for his achievements.
Some people say that it was his way of atoning for his actions during the war in the late 90s. Others say that he became wiser.
Jimin hyung didn't really need to worry about pushing himself to get good grades at school though, because both Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung had worked very hard so that we lacked nothing.
Except perhaps a mother figure.
Both of our eldest brothers were of a decent marriageable age, by Korean standards, albeit they refused to share anything with anyone who asked about this aspect of their lives. Contrary to what they claimed, however, one could only hope that they actually had partners...
I suppose it's just a cultural belief, as opposed to the norms of the wizarding community we lived amongst.
Recently Jimin hyung had been so busy studying for his final year, it seems that he's lost track of time, which wasn't odd, being the huge nerd he was. Jimin hyung had spent the last few weeks holed up in his room, sending owls to his friends and testing out potions that seventh years usually brew.
I must admit that some of these potions smelled far worse than my socks that were long forgotten at the bottom of my trunk... But enough about me.
Being the adorable youngest brother that I am, I decided to remind Jimin hyung during lunch at the kitchen table, since Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung, who were technically our guardians; weren't even at home to check in on us. They've been busy this last week, arranging our school supplies and uniform as they'd been out of town for the last month and didn't allow us to leave the area by magic nor by foot during that period. Not even if we were accompanied by Hoseok hyung or Namjoon hyung!
"Yeah hyung... Remember... We have school tomorrow? We need to catch the train!" I supplied to the conversation dramatically, waiting for Jimin hyung to process the information.
Is this guy in love or is he in denial of his last year?
"But how are we going to board the Hogwarts Express Kookie? Both Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung have been busy off late. They won't be able to see us off. And you can't Apparate yet." Jimin asked, concerned about the matter creasing his brows. It was true, our elders were busy with work and none of us younger ones were allowed to drive the car.
"We could use Floo powder?" Taehyung hyung supplied unhelpfully.
"Nope, that's been banned from King's Cross, remember?". Jimin hyung explained to him.
"Meh... Let's just learn from home. Do our final year through correspondence." Taehyung shrugged lightly.
"Like a muggle! I don't think it would work with all our practicals this year Tae." Jimin hyung countered.
I decided to intervene before they began another long academic debate that bored both my heart and soul.
"Well, Jin hyung did say he'll drop us off at Kings Cross Station. He left a note pinned to the fireplace. He also said that I should let you know that he did send you an owl, but he didn't receive any reply." I explained to him.
"Yes Jimin, Jin hyung got our stuff yesterday. Did you not see that he got us new quills for our last year!" Taehyung hyung piped up, explaining to his twin, as he poured himself another glass of pear juice.
"I'd forgotten it's already the last day of August! This holiday really flew by so quickly!" Jimin hyung admitted, grinning to himself. A small blush formed across his cheeks and at the tips of his ears.
We continued to eat in silence, while I wearily watched my brothers. How busy does one get in the seventh year that one forgets it's the last day of the school holidays?!
"I think Jimin hyung has a girlfriend..." I whispered to Taehyung hyung, who grinned at me devilishly. He'd never betray his twin.
"I'll tell you more about her on the train tomorrow morning or in our common room." Taehyung whispered back, taking me by surprise. I nodded back enthusiastically, hoping that they didn't find out about my girlfriend.
I still needed to pack my things for school and I'm not sure where to begin!
Also, I'd left out the part about it also being my 16th birthday earlier, when I reminded Jimin hyung about tomorrow. I didn't want to add to my brothers' already growing stress... Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung were currently holding the fort while everyone from Hobi hyung right down to me, were all going to be at school for the next term, which was four months' long.
Both our older brothers worked as Aurors at the Ministry for Magic, just like our parents had before they were killed. Jin hyung however, would soon be getting a promotion, although he didn't want to share what it was with us just yet, saying it was 'a surprise...'
Our Yoongi hyung usually kept his work quiet, but we got to see him in action last year as we walked to Gringotts to withdraw money for our books, uniform and other school supplies.
A strange thing had happened just as we exited the bank.
There was a wizard who'd been placed under the Imperius curse; and for some odd reason, he began to trash parts of Diagon alley.
Yoongi hyung, who was escorting us around the alley on his day off, had swiftly put an end to it by flicking his wand at the man, stunning him; and then undoing the effects of the curse on him and then he tidied up the alley.
Some of the women in the small crowd that had gathered round our Yoongi hyung (both young and old) had seen him in action. They had swooned at both his skill and his charming looks. Most of the passersby were impressed by my brother's skill.
Usually, it was near impossible to undo the curse, without knowing who the caster was. However, Yoongi hyung had undone the curse expertly.
Mere metres away, a woman had fallen to her knees and hyung had left our side to arrest her, while another skilled, redheaded Auror by the name of Ronald Weasley appeared on site to check if the man was alright.

After lunch...
I planned the supper menu, perusing through ingredients and our mother's old recipe book. Meanwhile the twins, Jimin hyung and Taehyung hyung were currently clearing away the lunch dishes off the table and washing up. They were both going to be in their final year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this year. And I would now become a 6th year.
It was all very nerve wrecking for me; because, this is the year I learn to Apparate! I'll be 16 tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll be one of the first to begin classes.
Despite my excitement to learn to Apparate, however, I really didn't like going back to school on my birthday! Though this was the way of life for me since I got my letter a month and a half before my 11th birthday five years ago. The seven of us were on vacation in the countryside when I received my letter. in hyung decided to take us on a vacation before he got back to school.
Our parents had passed away a year before I turned 11 and since then, my older brothers and I have been taking care of each other. It hasn't been easy, but we love each other very much and both Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung have tried their best to protect us.
Our parents were some of the best Aurors at the Ministry of Magic; however, they had been hit by the Kedavra curse while helping out with one of the many post-Battle of Hogwarts squabbles that had broken out in the Leaky Cauldron.
After the Battle of Hogwarts, many Death Eaters had magically switched sides, but some of them really wanted to go back to their old ways. It was one of their petty distractions set to act as a decoy while they popped off to Knockturn Ally, which had become heavily guarded by Aurors after the war.
Our parents were sent to help break up the fight that had been started by these troublemakers, but someone, though no one really knows who, had hit them with The Killing curse during all the commotion. Some say it was deliberately done, while others claim that it was an honest mistake, a stray spell had hit them. But all that the people who were present at the time can remember is that there was a 'flash of emerald green light' and then the horror that everyone experienced as they saw our parents 'reached out to shield a child'.
The seven of us have never been the same since that fateful day. Though, Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung had shouldered most of the burden seeing as they were older. Professor McGonagall, the headmistress at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, has been so supportive to our family. She even allowed my brothers early access to part time jobs at the Ministry - which was how they eventually began working as Aurors.
"How does mum's traditional tteokbokki sound for supper? We can also make soup and some other things - feel free to add what you like." I suggested to the twins, who nodded in unison agreeing with the idea.
Namjoon hyung and Hoseok hyung were both barred entry to the kitchen by Jin hyung after their chaotic attempt at Christmas dinner when they were seventeen. All they ever do is make a mess and they never did seem to grasp how to hold a spoon properly.
At Hogwarts they were given their own chopsticks to use. (Not that they can't eat with a spoon. It's more the stirring of pots in the kitchen that they have trouble with).
After the war, more Asian wizarding families joined the school. So, seeing chopsticks at the dinner table at Hogwarts became a norm. Some were even served foods that could be eaten by hand - either with roti or puri!
⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
That evening at supper...
Everything was now packed away, my trunk now stuffed to the brim with my socks and uniform, spare dress robes and of course, muggle attire. My Nimbus 3.0 was placed over the trunk, desperately waiting to be flown again at quidditch practice.
Things were going well. Hoseok hyung had helped me pack. He always did so, saying that it would be the way our mother used to do it, if he helped me. And truth be told, I never felt our mother's absence when Hoseok hyung was around, helping me with these kinds of chores.
But then at dinner, Namjoon hyung decided to remind everyone that he was going to be watching over us this year.
What a great way to end the holidays.
"Jungkook, now remember, I'll be taking you for Arithmancy this year. Please don't ask me for answers to the homework in Korean. That's both rude and unfair to the other students!" Namjoon hyung scolded me as he looked up from his plate. I grinned guiltily as I recalled my jest from earlier.
Having had enough of our very own Percy Weasley, who was continuously going on about becoming a teacher at Hogwarts; I had joked that perhaps if I got stuck in a class test, Namjoon hyung could give me the answers in Korean, seeing as we were the only Korean speaking individuals at the school. But of course the other family nerd would hear nothing of it!
It's true what they say about middle children! They're such emotional wrecks! And they are the biggest nerds!
To top it off, Professor McGonagall had employed not one - but TWO of my brothers as teachers - which in my opinion was a nightmare.
Namjoon hyung had taken over the Arithmancy class I was in, seeing as the previous professor had retired last year. Of course, we usually were informed of changes made during the Welcome Banquet at the start of term. But Namjoon hyung had shared this with us at the end of the previous term, when he finished his last year, because deep down, he was just a fluffy impatient koala bear that loves his younger brothers very much.
'Damnit... He'd heard me remind Jimin hyung about school earlier on! I thought he was absorbed in his Daily Prophet since he'd eaten earlier than us.'
"Yes, and I'll be taking you for Care of Magical Creatures, so don't be late!" Hobi hyung looked at us sternly, but then his face lit up and he smiled brightly at us.
Hobi hyung completely disapproved of tardiness.
Poor James Potter! He usually ran late for classes. My brother was going to give him extra homework for sure!
Hobi hyung had just walked into the kitchen to join the rest of us for supper, overseeing us as he was currently in charge at home as the third eldest brother, while our two older brothers were at work. This hyung usually supervised everything, except cooking and the cleaning of the kitchen - which Jin hyung or Yoongi hyung would check up on once they returned.
The remnants of Hobi hyung's last disaster is still fresh in both Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung's minds.
Hoseok hyung wasn't too strict with us, though. He just made sure we had all our chores completed before we ran off to practice quidditch or to play some of the muggle sports we also enjoyed.
Sometimes we helped Hobi take care of his magical creatures. Thankfully he didn't have any dragons or blast ended skrewts.
'Ssi-bal... I'd forgotten that Hoseok hyung was the new Care of Magical Creatures professor!' He's taking over from Hagrid this year as he was an apprentice to him for the previous two years.
Hagrid had retired at the end of last year, owing to the fact that he was moving to France with his companion, madame Maxime. After the famous Harry Potter had become an Auror, Hagrid had resumed his position as Care of Magical Creatures professor. Now, after Harry's children have joined us at school, Hagrid has decided to retire. (No need to ask why there! James is my friend and even I know he's a handful.)
Hagrid also wanted to study the Magical Creatures in France and then move eastwards - he'd even questioned Hoseok hyung about the magical creatures in Asia.
Hoseok hyung is a very talented wizard when it comes to understanding magical creatures.
Hagrid is really proud of him. So, when he was asked to pick a person to replace him, his first choice was Hoseok hyung. Again, this was classified information, but headmaster McGonagall insisted that we know beforehand, as we are his family. She was particularly fond of our family for some unknown reason.
'Argh! Why did I have to take the two subjects my brothers taught at school! It sucked having two of my older brothers as teachers!'
'I could already foresee the drama that would unfold... I'm sure Professor Trelawney would be proud of me.'
Everyone knew us as the Bang brothers, since Bang was our surname. But not everyone understood that it wasn't an English word. You can imagine the malicious jokes we've had to endure, considering the English word 'bang' had a crude meaning...
Just my luck. Ssi-bal.
And if I swore the idiots in Korean, or even with the little Japanese I knew, all six of my older brothers would magically find out; and by dinner time I'd get a howler which would be howl out to me in an exclusive mix of Korean and English.
I'm really starting to believe they tabooed the Korean and Japanese swear words so they can keep track of my language... Damnit...
It surely must have been Professor McGonagall and Jin hyung's idea! My girlfriend, Vedikha Singh found this funny. She called me her "Bang boy" which was hilarious to her. Though I knew she meant well, because she is my Singh girl (but not for long... Hehehe).
Do you see what I did there?
No?
Then you probably will stay single... Hehehe...
But Yoongi hyung definitely changed the meaning of the word... The women at the Ministry for Magic fawned over him. A lot of them would feign weakness and hope he'd catch them. Others would try to slip a love potion into his tea.
Some of the other wizards had nicknamed Yoongi hyung "hitman Bang" because of the many women that fell head over heels for him. My brother even received a lot of owl posts whenever he was at home on leave. Many of these letters, however, were laced with strong love potions. Some were even written in their lipstick or in their blood (I won't say which). Though Yoongi hyung only had eyes for one woman... Miss Namratha Ramharuk.
And Jin hyung also made a name for us as he was called "Worldwide Handsome" by most of the women in the Ministry - even the foreign nationals (both the males and females) that often looked for my brothers.
In hindsight, I guess being a Bang brother wasn't so bad after Jin hyung had charmed everyone with his personality... And Yoongi hyung broke hearts when he announced his relationship with Namratha.

September 1st...
The twins and I slept in the same room last night to make it easier for our other brothers to locate us in the morning.
Apparently they didn't want a 'Home Alone episode'.
Whatever that meant... It wasn't even Christmas. I thought to myself groggily last night.
"Kookie! Come on! It's five a.m. Wake up birthday boy!" Taehyung hyung called out to me, playfully pinching both my cheeks, just like our mother used to do.
"Hyung, stop that. Let me sleep for five more minutes!" I groaned and turned over.
And then the weight of his words hit me.
I sat bolt up in bed, looking at him disbelievingly. Just then, the room door opened and, my other five brothers entered.
"Sengil chukha hamnida... Happy birthday day Jungkook!" They sang to me, each of them grinning broadly at me. Jimin hyung led the other hyungs in, glowing like a fairy as he carried a chocolate cake on a tray with sixteen purple candles lit on its surface. The light from the candles highlighted his blonde hair, making it appear as if he glowed inside out.
He set the tray on the bed in front of me so that I could make a wish and blow out the candles. Once I did, they all cheered for me, congratulating me on my last year as a teen, as we wizards aged differently to Muggles. I'd be a man next year when I turn seventeen.
I smiled up at all six of my brothers, greeting them individually out of respect.
"Thank you hyungs! This is a wonderful surprise! I didn't want to trouble you. But you remembered anyway!" I wiped away a stray tear.
It had been so difficult for us after our parents had passed away. Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung had worked very hard to help us maintain our family's bond. They worked part time to ensure that we didn't exhaust our inheritance money and even took care of us just like omma used to.
"Awwww, you thought we'd forget our Jungkookie's birthday!" Jin hyung said. "We aren't bad hyungs are we?" He then turned to face Yoongi hyung, raising his eyebrow in mock concern.
"Nah. We're the cool hyungs." Replied Yoongi hyung with a wink in my direction. Hyung was a wizard of few words, and had walked over to me, from the dresser where he stood, next to Jin hyung. "Happy birthday Jungkook." Yoongi hyung hugged me, handing me a golden pouch.
"You can open it on the train. Don't squeeze or press to hard though, and don't let Taehyung touch the pouch. It's a very delicate present." Yoongi hyung whispered in my ear, then smiled at me, tapped my shoulder the way older brothers tended to do and walked out the room.
He was already dressed in a navy pin striped suite with a starched white shirt and a red tie. He held a navy trench coat, which was neatly folded over his left arm.
Yoongi hyung didn't like talking a lot. If he did, he was either very drunk, very excited or very nervous. And all these incidents were rather rare with him. Although, he did like his alcohol occasionally. Of course this did not apply when he had his girlfriend Namratha over. Because then he'd never shut up!
This wasn't annoying, but it did tend to get weird when he would barely speak to me after our parents' deaths.
"You're the best brothers anyone could ever ask for!" I exclaimed happily, trying not to cry.
I hated how emotional I got on my birthday each year. Which was the reason why I didn't want to remind them it was my birthday today.
"It's always a pleasure, Jungkook. Now go get yourself ready for breakfast. We leave here at 9 o'clock. I've arranged for us to drive to King's Cross in my new vehicle." Jin hyung said to me, ruffling my hair.
"Wow, hyung! A new vehicle so soon?!" Hoseok hyung asked animatedly. Seeing Hobi hyung excited made it difficult to believe that he is now a teacher at my school, starting today.
"Well, it is a Ministry vehicle that was assigned to me for work purposes, but I've got permission to take all of you to the station, therefore, there is the usual sort of Undetectable Extendable Charm on it." He grinned at us mysteriously. His handsome face lit up with excitement.
Jin hyung is a very talented wizard. He's achieved a lot in the last five years. I know he is just waiting for the right moment to share the good news with all of us.
⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
An hour later...
It turns out that it was actually six thirty in the morning when Taehyung hyung had shaken me awake. It was typical of him to bluff me that it was too early or too late in the day - depending on which best fit his little act.
We all got ready at the speed of light - well those of us who weren't already dressed like Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung.
After breakfast, Taehyung hyung, his older twin, Jimin hyung and the two teacher hyungs (as I now will refer to them in my head) had rushed to our rooms to retrieve our trunks. Though Hobi hyung had felt bad for us, and so he levitated our luggage to the car.
Everyone filed in and Jin hyung closed the door behind Taehyung hyung who was the last one in. Jin hyung then got into the driver's seat, with Yoongi hyung in the seat next to him and hyung started the engine. But before we even began to enjoy the ride, the station had popped into view.
Jin hyung jumped out the car and opened the door for us. We all filed out, with Jimin hyung bringing up the rear.
Before us stood King's Cross Station in it's full glory.
"Huh?" Jimin hyung had exclaimed along with the rest of us, flabbergasted by whatever magical occurrence it was that had just unfolded before us.
"Hyung, is there some kind of leak or something wrong with this car?" I asked Jin hyung, also perplexed by this.
Before we knew it, we were already at the station, walking in with our luggage as if we were always there. It was a little disorienting to say the least.
Even Hobi hyung and Namjoon hyung were a little confused by what had just happened.
"Well... Nothing is wrong with the car my dear young ones." Jin hyung smiled at us.
"Then why did we just lose out on a good long drive to the station hyung? You know how much I look forward to the drive each year! And this is my last year!" Taehyung pouted.
"I'm sorry Tae. But I'm now in charge of the Department of Mysteries! They needed someone who was good with charms and the like, and I landed the job! Between me and you, that car hasn't left the yard. We just portaled through without you noticing. It's one of my very own creations." He whispered to us conspiratorially, then winked at us.
Some of the women at the station stared at Jin hyung. He winked at them and then chuckled merrily when they'd scurried off, blushing. Namjoon hyung rolled his eyes at Hoseok hyung in mock annoyance - our eldest brother was always attracting attention because of his good looks.
He's even won Witch Weekly's most Handsome Wizard seven times in a row! It was no wonder people stared! Even the muggles stared.
"Wow! Hyung that's amazing! Teach us how to do that too! Please? Teach us how to wink like that as well, please!" Jimin hyung, Taehyung hyung and I all chimed in consecutively, walking on from the entrance to the station.
"All in good time my dear maknaes." He grinned as he helped us pack our luggage aboard.
(We were so engrossed in our hyung's amazing talents, we didn't even realise that we'd walked through the barrier to Platform 9 ¾).
"But for now, you should focus on getting yourselves to school. And as for you two ..." He spun on his heel and looked at Hoseok hyung and Namjoon hyung pointedly for a few seconds. "Be sure to take extra care of the boys this winter okay?" Jin hyung said to them, smiling cryptically.
"Yes. And don't leave them unattended to for too long. Especially you Hosoek-ah. You're in the same house as Taehyung and Jungkook!" Yoongi hyung chimed in, smiling fondly at us. He laced an arm around Jin hyung's shoulder as he spoke, standing there casually as if he was always standing with us.
The three of us had almost jumped out of our sneakers, it was hard to say if hyung had been with us all this time. And for a moment, Jimin hyung, Taehyung hyung and I had stood there in shock. But it turned out that Yoongi hyung had been behind us all the while.
Both Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung looked at each other for a few seconds, then laughed. They'd planned it that way. Of course Yoongi hyung knew about the car! He worked at the Ministry too!
"Argh. Hyung! You startled us!" Namjoon exclaimed. It was rather hard to believe that he was a teacher at Hogwarts. (I know...)
"Yeah that wasn't funny hyung." Hoseok hyung exclaimed, clutching his chest.
"Wow! How did you do that hyung?" Taehyung hyung asked him in amazement. But then realisation had hit him.
"Yeah, how did you do that hyung?" I turned to face Yoongi hyung. But all he did was shake his head as he ruffled my hair.
"You'll find out soon enough my little ones." Was all he had said with a mysterious smile.
"Ahhh... Hyung! You're killing us with the suspense!" I joked, clutching my chest.
"Hmmm... That's true Kookie, but, the real question here is: Who's keeping an eye on Jimin hyung?" Taehyung hyung stood next to me, resting his elbow on my shoulder as he raised a perfect eyebrow, looking skeptically at our older brothers Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung.
"I trust Jimin, besides, Professor Slughorn will send me an owl if Jimin does ever step a toe out of line." Yoongi hyung grinned.
Yoongi hyung was also a Slytherin, just like Jimin hyung. Naturally, he'd have Slughorn watch over Jimin.
Pssht... Jimin hyung preened at the praise. Taehyung hyung also seemed a little peeved at the comment. He, however, poked a finger at his twin, which both brought him back to Earth and quickly diffused the tension.
"Have a good term you three. Be good, and no getting up to any mischief. We'll be here to welcome you home for Christmas. Maybe we'll have more among us." Jin hyung smiled and waved to us as the train started to move away from the platform. Our eldest brothers looked at each other like proud parents and smiled.
What mischief could I get up to? We weren't the Weasley twins. Besides, they were awesome. I suspected that our older brothers were up to something.
But just what in Merlin's beard was going on here?
⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
Later, on the train...
The train ride was mostly uneventful, with each of my older brothers checking in on me every hour or so.
I sat in my strategically chosen compartment aboard the Hogwarts Express, enjoying the sights as we whittled away towards Scotland and the school.
I pondered opening the golden pouch now.
Yoongi hyung did say I could open it on the train right? Hmm... He also said it was delicate. I wonder what it could be! Giving in to my birthday temptation, I opened the pouch, gently tugging at the golden drawstrings.
Out flew a young Phoenix hatchling. The little Phoenix's plumage was a breathtaking fiery orange and yellow. The bird flew around a little, excited to finally be set free. Although, knowing my brother, Yoongi hyung would have definitely added an undetectable extendable charm as well as basic amenities for this little guy.
"Hi there, little guy. Aren't you cute! Now what do I call you?" I thought out loud.
Just then, there was a small knock on the compartment door.
"D'you mind if I sit here?" A female voice spoke to me suddenly. I turned away from the window to face her. It was my girlfriend Vedikha.
She had used our code, but looked a little out of it. I heard that she was going through some things at home in her letters to me over the holidays. We were supposed to meet, but she wasn't able to leave. And I didn't want to ask her about it.
"Yeah, ofcourse V. Did you have an okay holiday?" I smiled at her, then returned the hug she gave me. She nodded in response, not trusting her words.
"Happy birthday Jungkook! I'm so happy I get to see you for your birthday." She cried, wrapping both arms around my neck and burying her head on my shoulder.
"It's okay, V. Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be alright. And if it isn't, you can always come and stay with me and my brothers." I offered. My new Phoenix sat nestled quietly in the corner of the compartment. Vedikha hasn't seen him yet.
I'd already spoke to Jin and Yoongi hyung about my girlfriend living with us. They both instantly agreed, given the situation with her family at home. Jin hyung knew her mother, the woman wasn't the kindest person alive. She was a witch, but she refused to have anything to do with her children's education. My girlfriend and her sibling received help from the school and now she works part time in Diagon alley or at Hogsmeade - professor McGonagall had allowed it.
I could hear her sniffing as she pulled back, facing me as she died her tears. We talked about this before. And she had refused, not wanting to impose on us with her and a sibling. Yoongi hyung, however, had ceased my quill and replied instead...
We'd even been to her house. And the decision was final.
"Alright, Jungkook. Thank you for your family's kindness." She sniffed.
"You're my family too V. I lo-" But just then, Jimin hyung waltzed into our compartment, a girl behind him.
What brilliant timing my brother has!
"Jungkook! There you are. I just wanted to introduce you and Vedikha to my girlfriend. Her name is Park Hanah." And as he smiled at us, smitten as a kitten, a tiny blonde seventh year girl peaked over his shoulder.
She was also a Slytherin - which explains why we've never seen her before.
"Hi there. I just wanted to meet you guys and to wish Jungkook a Happy Birthday." She waved shyly, her face tinting pink as she ducked behind my brother.
"Nice to meet you." Vedikha and I greeted in unison.
"Thank you for the wish Hanah." I smiled back. "Hyung are you not going to invite Hanah over this Christmas? Vedikha will be coming over for Christmas as well." I added, trying to be friendly and welcoming towards my brother's girlfriend.
"I- I'll speak to Jin hyung. They don't know about Hanah yet." A blush crept up Jimin hyung's neckline, all the way to his ears. Hannah's blush also seemed to darken by the second.
Just then, Jimin hyung's eyes settled on our clasped hands and averted his eyes. Finally wanting to leave, he cleared his throat and excused Hanah and himself.
"So- sorry to trouble you. We'll be off now, prefects meeting in ten minutes." Hyung muttered, scurrying off with Hannah.
"See you in the Great Hall tonight." Vedikha called out after them, a small smile peaking through her sadness, like the sun after a storm.
She is my sunshine, and I will be her strength. We sat together in comfortable silence, holding hands as she rested her head on my shoulder while I rested my head against hers.
⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
Two hours later...
Another disturbance from my brothers this time had jolted us awake, which was when we'd bashfully realised that we'd fallen asleep together; still holding hands.
Namjoon hyung and Taehyung hyung had bounded in, oblivious to the fact that I'd chosen the cabin at the end of the car for a reason. Taehyung hyung grinned his boxy scamp grin when he noticed the sleep creases on our faces. The wink he'd given me had spoken of the torture and teasing he'd delight himself in once we were alone.
Argh... Older brothers are annoying! Except Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung - they're amazing!
"Hi Vedikha! Good to see you, we were hoping you were with our little brother." Namjoon hyung replied with a grin that bared his dimples. Why was he so annoying?
"Good to see you too Oppa, or should I be calling you professor Bang now?" She smiled at him. I rolled my eyes internally.
I'd almost forgotten the reason for this overgrown student being on the train. Just great.
"No, family doesn't have to be so formal with me Vedikha and you are family." Hyung dragged on. It was already very annoying that he would still be at school this year to watch my break times and closely monitor my visits to the library!
"Oh and Jungkook! Did you like your birthday gift?" Namjoon hyung asked me, impatiently looking around the room for my little Phoenix.
I'd almost forgotten about the little one.
"Yes! Thank you very much." I replied enthusiastically, fishing him out of the corner and showing him to Vedikha and my brothers.
"Wow! Jungkook! You're so lucky. They're the best gifts to get." Vedikha cooed at the little one.
"What's his name?" Taehyung hyung asked, helpfully drawing attention to the fact that I had forgotten to name the poor thing.
"I didn't pick out a name for him yet." I admitted, looking down at the floor.
"No worries. But you'll need to before the end of the trip. Phoenixes need a purpose to survive. Their names give them that purpose. Make sure you do so soonest." Taehyung hyung advised. It was a rare sight to see his mature side, but I appreciated it.
"And just like that, you're my first favourite student."
We all whipped our heads to face the door to the compartment, where Hoseok hyung now stood, grinning proudly at Taehyung hyung, his arms crossed over his chest.
"Th- th- thanks hyung. I uh... Just happened to remember that piece of information from last year." Taehyung stuttered and made a be line out the compartment.
...
The rest of the train ride to Hogwarts was considerably dull. Vedikha and I had our lunch together and the twins dropped by to check up on us once more.
"We'll be there in an hour Kookie, why don't you change into your uniform?" Jimin hyung suggested.
...
And then, finally the moment of truth arrived.
We had arrived.
But the school looked different. There was a huge purple and gold tent propped outside the front of the school grounds, close to Hagrid's hut.
On one side, it had, in bright bold letters, the words:
While on the other side, in bold were the letters:
What in the Merlin's beard was going on here? And why was Jin hyung surrounded by ALL our female teachers?

Later that evening...
The Great Hall: Welcome feast
Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung were seated on either side of Professor McGonagall, laughing and talking to the teachers.
No one had made any announcements as yet. All the headmistress had said at the start of the feast was:
"Enjoy the first of many feasts! Here's to a year of happiness and joy!" Professor McGonagall smiled brightly at us, raising a goblet.
Adults were so frustrating.
Jin hyung caught my eye and winked at me in response. He had a gleam in his eyes. He looked younger too, and he wore his Ravenclaw scarf around his neck.
Yoongi hyung wore his Slytherin scarf too. It was becoming all too surreal. It was my sixteenth birthday and ALL my brothers were at my school. Even the ones that were supposed to be at work, in the middle of London!
...
"Surprise! We wanted to keep it a secret until it was time. Do you like it?" Yoongi hyung, completely abandoning his usually quiet demeanor had exclaimed loudly.
What was wrong with the world?
"But what is an apprenticeship doing in the middle of a school? Don't you both have really important serial wizards to find? Are there no bank robberies to stop? And Jin hyung, didn't you say you were now part of the Department of Mysteries?" I huffed out, confused.
We were all gathered in a little meeting room that was off to the side of the Great Hall. After the feast, professor Longbottom had rounded us up to meet our elders as well as the headmistress.
Everyone seemed to be hyped up about this apprenticeship. Even my girlfriend was here!
Sholay, my new Phoenix, was perched on my shoulder. He was an absolute sweetheart and was instantly loyal to me. Vedikha helped me with the name, saying that it translated to 'fire or flames'. I initially wanted to name him Hwasa, but quickly decided against it... Blaze and Ra just didn't sound right either.
"Now, Jungkook, your lovely brothers here have brought this apprenticeship programme to our school, under secrecy, on my request. I have been working on developing our young students into fine witches and wizards, who are capable of employment in the outside world." The headmistress gestured with enthusiasm.
"Yes, headmistress." I nodded, still wondering where all of this was going.
"And so, my dream has finally come true! Your brothers will be at our school for the next six months, recruiting all interested sixth and seventh years. And I must add, there will be a good pay as well!"
...
And then we were back in the Great Hall with the headmistress announcing the entire thing to everyone. The entire Hall burst into cheers, including the poor lost first years.
I caught myself before showing my surprise at seeing the famous Draco Malfoy speak to Namjoon hyung. It seems like they were exchanging intel. Mr. Malfoy was now the head healer at the infirmary.
After dessert, our head of house, professor Longbottom, guided us back to our dorm room.
...
All in all, it had been a wild birthday. And I am sure that tomorrow will be more eventful.
The sixth and seventh years were set to begin their registration with my brothers for the new 'McGonagall and Bang, young Witches and Wizards' apprenticeship programme, sponsored by the Ministry for Magic.'
Taehyung hyung and sat with me in front of the window in my dorm room. James Potter joined us as we watched the school grounds as the sun set, a butter beer in hand.
"Happy birthday Jungkook." James smiled, clapping my shoulder.
"Thanks James. Here's to another smashing year ahead!"

A/n: Hope you enjoyed this crossover fanfiction. I had a lot of fun researching and writing this. I had to refresh my memory on a few things since it's been a while since I read the Harry Potter books and watched the movies.
You'll notice that this story would take place somewhere after the Battle of Hogwarts (happy belated Harry Potter day #2May) in an alternate universe. However, I didn't follow the plot of the movies, instead I used the plot of the books and added my own BTS themed spin off.
Pinterest has so many amazing AI BTS x Harry Potter images! I decided to create a merged imaged for the cover.
Sorry I didn't make any of them a Hufflepuff. I couldn't find any nice enough images of them in Hufflepuff gear.
😁😊😋
