May 24, 2024
A grinding sort of wheezing noise was heard from the maintenance block at a theme park. No one really went there, unless it was maintenance time, so it was rather odd to hear a noise through the closed doors. Outside the main maintenance building however, an indigo blue, wooden, Police telephone box had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
No one at the theme park had taken any notice of it. People had simply glazed over as they walked past, if any people did happen to pass it by.
Then, the left side of the front doors had creaked open and out stepped a tall, lean build, but rather dashing man. Looked to be around thirty-five or so at most. His hair was coloured in a chocolatey-mahogany hue, and his fringe fell over his forehead beautifully. He had a strange looking haircut too. It seemed like it was in fashion at least seventeen years ago, according to Earth time.
The man was also dressed a little oddly; he wore a well tailored, pinstriped brown suit, a powdered blue shirt, a dark coloured tie, along with cream-coloured high top Converse sneakers and a long tan trenchcoat. In his topmost pocket, closest to the lapel on his coat, sat a rather odd looking tool.
He had called it his "Sonic Screwdriver", and often pointed it at things that made him look rather ridiculous. Another ridiculous thing about the man was the fact that he had a stethoscope tucked into one of his coat pockets. It was barely visible as he moved around.
Usually accompanied by people he often referred to as his "travel companions", the man appeared to be alone as he cautiously made his way out of the indigo blue Police telephone box. The box itself, was in fact, his time machine, but it was stuck in its disguise as a typical Police telephone box from London as they used to have in the 1960s, since its chameleon circuits refused to disguise itself as anything else. Because this man, is not an ordinary human. This man is a Timelord. An alien from the planet called Galifrey, from a far off star system.
Whistling to himself, he closed the door to his time machine and walked off down a lane, into the theme park before him.
He noticed the odd frequencies of an alien energy source emitting from the heart of the park and immediately pulled out his silver and blue "Sonic Screwdriver", pointing it up into the air as if to gage a reading.
After a few seconds of scanning the area with the odd little device, the man now scrutinized the screwdriver and scowled, to himself, in confusion.
"Huh?" He exclaimed in a thick London accent.
"That's not right!" He muttered to himself irritably.
"High volumes of a Willownick's energy source flooding the area. Hmmm..." He murmured, taking out a pair of black framed spectacles and putting them on before studying the Sonic Screwdriver more closely.
A scaly-looking alien, with a triangular shaped face and enormous midnight blue eyed stood behind a door in the maintenance block, watching the man with interest. This creature too was of an unearthly origin.

Minutes...
That's all we have left.
Mere minutes to survive, or we'll all be toast.
We sat in a death defying ride that had gone all wrong. Hanging on for dear life in mid air, we had given up on screaming for help about 20 minutes ago.
Metal creaked as gravity worked to pull the cart down.
"Hey, Jungkook. We got this okay? We will survive." She smiles, reassuring me as she tries to brush away the stray hair flying into my eyes.
How does she stay so cool and collected in these kinds of situations? I almost fainted again.
The fact that we have mere minutes to make it out alive is all that is fuelling my fight for survival.
"We'll think of something Jagiya." I assured her in return.
I don't care about myself. I care about her. That smile. To think that her smile will never shine again if we don't make it out of here is what drives me to get out of here safely.
For her.
My girlfriend.
Soo-ah.
"I got you Jagiya. We're getting out alive. I promise you." I say to her, taking her warm hand in mine.
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
3 hours earlier...
"Hi there! Would you dare to join the once in a lifetime daredevil ride around the city?" An annoying, blonde bubbly tour guide offered us, almost shoving a pamphlet into my hand. The guide didn't seem like she was from around here.
"No thank you, we already have an itinerary for today." Soo-Ah replied, seeing my queasiness at the thought of such a ride.
"Are you sure you don't want to give it a try? You love daredevil stunts Jagiya." I asked her in Korean as the tour guide walked away, disappearing so suddenly.
"Yes. I'm sure, Jungkook. The ride looks overrated anyway." She says off-handedly, smiling at me. She grabbed my hand and directed me away from the teller points for the thriller rides.
I stopped and so did Soo-Ah, who had turned to see what was wrong.
"Let's do it. Don't worry about me. Let's try it out. Life is short after all." I whispered to her as I brushed a stray strand away from her beautiful face. I decided to try it out for her sake.
"Jungkook, this isn't a caged motorcycle race or a regular rollercoaster. This is a death wish." She sighed heavily, looking into my eyes, concerned for my sanity.
"I have a bad feeling about this Yeobo. Come on, let's just go home." She grabs my hand and leaves the theme park.
"Soo-Ah... We're going to be leaving town in 24 hours... I want to try something devilish for you, just this once." I begged her. Somehow, I thought it was a really good idea. "Please? I'll be right next to you, I'll keep you safe." I smiled at her, wrapping my hands around her waist from behind.
Maybe I could propose to her once we get off the ride. I think to myself merrily.
Soo-Ah pondered over it for a few moments. She was the practical one in moments like these. I should have realised it then.
"You know what. Fine. Let's go." She smiles suddenly, allowing me to pull her back into the park.
"But where is this place? It's not even on the park's map!" She exclaimed, looking left and right, then checking the map that your guide had thrust into my hands.
🚩Red flag number 1...
"I'm sure it's right under our noses Jagiya... Don't stress. We're finally doing something you always wanted to do together. A couple daredevil stunts." I say happily, kissing her cheek.
"As a professional performer, I don't recommend this one Jungkook... But if you insist, we will. Are you sure you're comfortable with the activities involved?" She raised an eyebrow at me in concern.
"Anything for you Jagiya." I smiled and nodded.
"There's no going back once you sign at those wavers... You do know that? We could die. We could end up stuck there. Or worse." She warned me. But I was blinded by the act of impressing her.
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
30 minutes later...
"Okay, here we are then. Are you sure about this Jungkook?" She asked me again. I could tell from her eyes that she was a little anxious.
"Yes. I am." I say assuring her. Though I was beginning to feel a little anxious about this as well.
"Two tickets to the daredevil ride - you better have reaction cameras in there." Soo-Ah exclaimed to the teller.
"You have a daredevil stunt-woman and her boyfriend who is an accountant. It will be worth televising." Soo-Ah jested with the oddly dressed teller, who slowly blinked twice, not saying anything.
The teller was dressed completely differently compared to the other tellers for the other rides all along the park. She wore a different coloured uniform from the others on the other side of the park.
"Oh, don't worry, we do ma'am. We capture every last moment." The teller finally replied, grinning devilishly at us.
🚩Red flag number 2...
I could have stopped us here. No harm in looking a little cowardly and backing out at the last minute, right?
Wrong. I was going to ruin my reputation here if I had said no at this point. I wasn't going to bruise my ego...
In hindsight, I must have been influenced by their magic in the air. They ran this place after all... the other earthly beings that they were, we were too distracted by excitement to notice anything, until we hopped onto the ride.
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
5 minutes into the ride...
As we sat there, assuming it was just a real death and gravity defying rollercoaster ride, hundreds of people walked out. Apparently, there were no additional safety equipment for the ride. Just the regular straps that held you in place.
Only the last 20 of us had remained. Showing off our courage by remaining seated. The attendant smiled, a slight evil hint to their grin. And, something was odd about the way she walked. A foreign-looking man, dressed in a brown pinstriped suit standing to my left, had smiled knowingly at me. Perhaps he noticed the same thing I did?
We both studied the attendant again. I couldn't tell whether it was a he or she anymore. I couldn't tell if I was scared, nervous or excited.
Suddenly, as we were 'helped' into the ride, the attendant's skin had glimmered a scaly green under the high buttoned grey golf-shirt. I looked away quickly, not wanting to be rude.
Had I finally lost all sense of logical thought?
🚩Red flag number 3...
The man from earlier had begun to make polite conversation with everyone. Probably an attempt to help us all get our minds off the weird ride we were about to experience. He stuck to silly topics like the weather and the little shop he spotted at the entrance, or was it the exit?
I shook my head in an attempt to clear it. Something about this ride made me feel like my mind was foggy.
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
An hour and a half into the ride...
This is probably where the trouble really began.
As the ride's car Soo-Ah and I were seated in had reached its zenith, the entire structure creaked and clanged. My heart had slowly begun to sink as I felt the track beneath us buckle. I looked over at Soo-Ah, and taking hold of her hand, I smiled.
"We're together, we'll be fine. No matter what happens just remember that I love you. Saranghae." I whispered to her.
"Nado saranghaeyo. I really love you Jungkook." She returned my smile, her eyes shining brightly.
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
One hour later ...
The ride seemed alright after the few creaks and clangs from an hour ago. Everyone left on the ride just assumed that it was meant to be a part of the ride. And now that I looked back, I suppose it was. But one can only guess.
Though, there definitely was something mysterious about this ride. It wasn't what it had promised it would be.
As we reached the highest point of the ride, at a hundred and ninety seven metres above the ground, everyone began to feel a little nervous. Something definitely wasn't right anymore.
Sparks began to fly off the sides of the carts we were seated in. The wheels of the carts grated against the metal track, sparking and wheezing. Something gave way and everyone began to panic and scream.
Our car creaked as it rocked back and forth along the track. Before we knew it, we were engulfed in smoke and heat, and the car was suddenly suspended in mid-air.
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
Twenty minutes later...
Minutes...
Because that's all we have left. Mere minutes to survive, or we'll all be toast.
We sat in a death defying ride that had gone all wrong. Hanging on for dear life in mid air, we had given up on screaming for help about 20 minutes ago.
Metal creaked as gravity worked to pull the cart down. The creaky momentum made me feel more nauseous than scared as we hung so high off the ground.
"Hey, Jungkook. We got this okay? We will survive." She smiles, reassuring me as she tries to brush away the stray hair flying into my eyes.
"Ahh... Young love. You bet that miss. You and your boyfriend will definitely survive this!" The strange man from earlier exclaimed to Soo-Ah.
He was dressed oddly too, wearing a pinstriped suit and a long, tan coat. As if that wasn't already weird enough, he also wore 3D glasses, which made him look even more weird. He probably carried it in his pocket, because he didn't have it on earlier.
"Why are you wearing 3D glasses at a theme park?" I asked him incredulously.
"Why? To see through the shields they've put up of course! Here you two should wear them as well if you don't believe me!" He exclaimed as he handed us identical looking 3D lenses.
The man wasn't lying. As my eyes adjusted to the 3D lenses, I could see glittery traces of an unknown, energy covering the park like a dome.
"We see everything around us in a medley of seven colours right?" He asked, prompting us to think.
"Yes. So does that mean that this helps split those colours and focus on the two colours our lenses have only?" Soo-Ah asked him as she unfolded the glasses to try them on.
"Brilliantly put miss-?!" He exclaimed and then realised we weren't properly introduced.
"This is my girlfriend Soo-Ah and I'm Jungkook." I answered a little possessively. "And you are...?"
"Oh... I'm not usually one for names." He said, making a face. "Just call me 'Doctor'." He said, now grinning at us and shaking our hands from the odd angle at which we sat.
"Doctor who?" Soo-Ah and I asked simultaneously, to which he chuckled and motioned for us to try to rise out of our seats.
"Come now, we have mere minutes to survive Jungkook and Soo-Ah, I think we should save my history for later. It's an awfully long and boring story. I'm sure you wouldn't want to die listening to someone drone on about his past." He climbed out almost effortlessly and began helping the few people who remained on the ride off the track.
"Doctor, I see a glittering dome over the park." I muttered to him.
"I'm glad you noticed that Jungkook. That's exactly why I'm wearing these." He said as he gestured to his own pair of 3D glasses.
The Doctor pulled out a thin metal device that closely resembled a pen. And began pointing it up above us and then, as if scanning us with it, he ran it up and down us from his seat. His face set in understanding as he nodded to himself, shrouding us in enigma as his actions.
"Sorry, just scanning you with the Sonic." He said as if it were a normal conversation.
"Earlier on, I picked up high volumes of a Willownick's energy source around this park. It's why I wore these glasses." He gestured again playfully at his 3D glasses.
"What's a Willownick?" I asked, my curiosity now piqued.
"Oh... They're these humanoid peacock green, scaly-looking creatures. They can only survive in an environment if they surround it with their energy source, or shields made up of this energy source as they've done so here." The Doctor explained, pointing upward.
"The thing is... This lot, they're runaways... So soon enough they'll run out of the energy source and will have to implode the area under the shield to renew the energy and maintain their life here. The problem is that it will turn everything and everyone to ash ..." The Doctor explained sarcastically to us in a hushed conspiratorial voice.
"That's not good. Is that why we're stuck here? This ride stopped all of a sudden." Soo-Ah asked.
"Bingo. They caught us like bait... They need a certain amount of protein to renew the energy source." The Doctor explained in a more sober tone.
"We need to climb out of this nightmare ride. Doctor, do you have any ideas how we can all make off to safety?" I asked him, hoping he'd have some idea.
"Yeah... I sent U.N.I.T. a message. Should have them flying over soon enough. But in the meantime, I have this floss." He replied geekily, pulling out a container of dental floss, waving it at us triumphantly.
"I've seen people use it to swing across canyons... Or was it off a bridge?" Soo-Ah shrugged, looking at me for finality.
"I'm not sure Soo-Ah, but I'll tell you what... I'll use this to form a sort of ladder." I offered, looking at the Doctor.
"Brilliant idea Jungkook! Here, take this." He handed me two containers of dental floss.
He certainly stored a lot in those pockets.
I tried to stand in the car we were seated in, and gaged a clear path down the side of the crosswork of metal bars below. We were fortunate that this ride had bars we could use to climb down. I tied a piece of the floss to the rim of the track and began my descent, calling out to Soo-Ah that it was the same for her to follow me as I climbed down.
Soo-Ah and I had no trouble climbing over the rim of the car and balancing on the ride's track as we made our way descending the track like rock climbers, as we could see clearly where we should and shouldn't be placing our feet. All those dates spent rock climbing had really paid off.
However, as we made our way further down, time and space had been warped around us. That's what the Doctor explained to us. So what we thought was a safe surface was actually the precipice of the ride, and what looked unsafe, was in fact the safest spots to find leverage as we climbed down the shaft of the ride.
It took us a while to reach the ground and feel solid earth beneath our feet. But we had made it. Up above, the Doctor could be heard in his bright and happy tone, coaxing and guiding the remaining people off the ride.
The Doctor had helped the other seventeen members of the ride off, Sonicking the bars here and there to reinforce them as people climbed down.
Within minutes, the Doctor had managed to escort the last person down our makeshift ladder. He stood next to me, panting slightly.
"Everyone else alright?" The Doctor said, when Soo-Ah and I returned from helping everyone over to the food court and getting them water after that traumatic experience.
"Yes, they're just in a bit of shock, but the onsite paramedics are tending to them." Soo-Ah replied.
"Right, this entire park is going to implode if we don't find the Willownick's space capsule and undo the self-distruction settings. A fairly simple task in itself, mind you, but the challenge is finding the space capsule. It could be hidden anywhere. They normally would have it hidden at the heart of the area, often where she might have crashed." He rambled on as if we understood whatever it was he spoke of.
"Sorry?" I asked him confusedly.
"Jungkook, the Willownick's energy source is leaking out of the space capsule and creating this warped version of reality around us, in addition to the dome shield above us. Did you not notice anything off when you two got here? Did you not see anything odd-looking?" He asked me desperately.
The Doctor already began jogging off in the direction of his suspicion.
"Like a scaly green humanoid?" I completed his sentence, right behind him.
"Exactly! That's what a Willownick looks like - but I assume they've been trying to disguise themselves because I detected an even higher level of their energy source in this particular area when I landed here." He exclaimed and then his voice dropped to a mutter as he slowed down now, pulling out his stethoscope, stopping in front of a wall, using it to listen to something on the other side of a wall. He crouched down, as if looking out for a better signal, his sharp-jawed face was scrunched up in concentration.
"So when you say 'Willownick', you mean an alien species?" Soo-Ah asked, her eyebrows raised in amazement and disbelief as we began jogging off towards the suspected area.
The Doctor, still crouching and listening intently, was quiet for a heartbeat before replying to us.
"Yes. I've been looking for them. I've tracked their spaceship to this very part of the planet. These are teenage rebels... their queen has asked me to find them and bring them back to her. There are about five at most. This lot became a bit rebellious about a month ago and bound off to a random star system."
"Ah... Sounds like a typical teenager then." I chuckled, making eye contact with Soo-Ah. She knew just what I was thinking. Her nephew Ji-Hoon was much the same. Though I doubt he'd run off to the nearest city... Let alone a random star system.
"How can we help you Doctor?" She asked.
The Doctor sprang up from the floor, where he'd been crouching, his energy levels were truly alien.
"Aha! I know just how to solve this!" He exclaimed at Soo-Ah and me suddenly.
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
Five minutes later
"Argh... I can't even materialize around them with my T.A.R.D.I.S. It would help shield the planet." He'd muttered.
"TARDIS? Are you late for something?" Soo-Ah asked him out of concern. Because to us, he was speaking in perfect Korean.
The Doctor looked at us for a second in realisation, as he paused checking our surroundings, Sonicking the wall in front of us. He scratched his head and began his explanation.
"Well... It's my time-travelling machine. Time and Relative Dimensions in Space." He shrugged, placing his Sonic Screwdriver between his teeth as he stopped to pull open a random maintenance panel on the wall before us. This building looked more like a maintenance block even though it was labelled:
Administration: Staff only!
The panel was larger than most hatches and had unnatural blinking jade and magenta lights.
"Ahhh..." He exclaimed rather excitedly as we knelt next to him to assist in anyway we could.
"This isn't an admin block then..." I commented sarcastically.
Catching my sarcasm, the Doctor nodded, grinning broadly.
"Yep. Glad you're seeing the illusion! I told you these 3D glasses work!" He gestured to the glasses we'd put on again once we reached the tiny building.
"Uh-oh..." Soo-Ah muttered.
"What is it?" Both the Doctor and I asked her.
"There's a countdown of sorts. It's in Hanja!" She exclaimed.
"Brilliantly put Soo-Ah! Yes, it's in Han-script. Very smart lot... Disguising and blending in, such attention to detail." He admired the Willownick's attempts at disguise.
"Doctor! We have two minutes left! What can we do?" I pointed at the count down. He rose from the panel, his hand tucking his Sonic Screwdriver into his pocket as he uttered a single word.
"Run!"
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
A grinding, wheezing engine could be heard at a distance and then all around us. We hadn't run too far when suddenly a strange, enormous room had materialized around us.
Soo-Ah and I looked at each other in confusion.
The room was alien-looking, with a sciencey touch. The walls of the room were covered in oddly shaped panels, and the panels were covered in roundals running in a vertical pattern.
"Welcome aboard the TARDIS!" The Doctor called from the centre of the large room. He stood at a round sort of control panel, it looked a bit like a merri-go-round in a park meets a large scientist's glass cylinder in the centre of this merri-go-round control board.
A haunting green light shines from the glass cylinder, illuminating the dias of the room. It was only then that I realised that we were standing on a platform built into the room, it's mesh floors hinting at what could only be the engine below.
He watched us intently, clearly waiting for our response.
"Wow!" My girlfriend and I had exclaimed in perfect unison, for the Doctor had begun moving us away from the implosion.
"It's amazing!" Soo-Ah breathed spinning in a circle on her heel. I watched her, all the while feeling just as mesmerized.
"This is, truly, fascinating Doctor, so this is your time machine?" I asked him, feeling silly at how obvious the question was.
"Yeah... It travels in time and space... But it gets a little lonely sometimes." He trailed off.
Soo-Ah and I looked at each other and then at the Doctor. But before we could say anything to him, we heard a loud creaking noise and then a loud bang.
"Doctor the other people in the park! They don't know!" I alerted him.
"We aren't at the park anymore Jungkook." He smiled at me, winding a handle on his console. He then pulled out a small hammer and banged it against a flat piece of metal as well as at two other random spots on the consoles.
Looking up from his task, he grinned at us as we stood around the console, opposite from him.
"How can we help you?" I asked, while Soo-Ah nodded her head once in agreement to my question.
"This reminds me of the old times, when Mickey and Rose used to stand like this around the TARDIS' console with me!" But then his face fell, looking sad. "If only..." He muttered to himself incoherently.
We looked at each other again, unsure of what had happened and unsure of how to console him. Just then, the Doctor burst into another bright bout of cheerfulness, which made me question just how lonely he was.
"If you open those doors now, you'll see things you can never see through a telescope. Go on!" The Doctor offered, flipping a switch and opening the front doors of his TARDIS.
A chilly breeze blew into the room, while bright lights shine through from the outside.
As Soo-Ah and I drew closer to the doors, we felt our wildest imaginations would never amount to what lies before us!
An entire galaxy unfolded before our very eyes.
"Wow!" We breathed out in unison.
"Behold, the Willow Creek galaxy! Home to the Willownicks you've met a little earlier on today. We're gone back in time, I need to follow the space shuttle those teenage Willownicks travelled in."
We watched in awe as the TARDIS lowered itself into the stratosphere, hidden by a 'cloaking device' as we waited and watched the planet below us with baited breath.
On the monitor before us, now standing at the console, we observed the people of Wiltensville on the planet of Willownia.
It was quite a mouthful. But the Doctor rattled on about the Willownicks' and their population, their language and culture. They were a unified race, meaning that they all shared the same ideals and ethics, there was only one language and there wasn't a need for different countries.
Each city worked as the districts in a city on planet Earth would. Mainly, they provided a space for a Willownick to live and had amenities and infrastructure suited to support the Willownicks' lifestyle.
In place of the usual parks and malls, there were open air food stalls which provided a green sort of tea and a variety of what looked like pot plants.
"Those are the food sources served at a feeding station. It's sort of like a roadside takeaway. Only the Willownicks' don't have any need for currency or money. Much like I don't have a need for it." The Doctor explained, clearly observing our bewildered faces.
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
A while later...
Having finally toured the planet and safely returned to the TARDIS, the Doctor and I spotted a tiny shuttle zoom past the TARDIS as we returned to the stratosphere, observing the surrounding stars. They all glimmered and glowed, twinkled and shone brightly like gemstones in a treasure chest.
The "sky" wasn't even black like they show you in documentaries or in movies.
"It's not really black, especially if there are bright stars around. If anything the "sky" or matter around the planets and stars is actually white.
"And NASA doesn't share this with us?" Soo-Ah asked incredulously.
"Well..." The Doctor exclaimed, his voice lowering to a low purr, tilting his head to the side. "The thing is Soo-Ah-ssi, NASA, hasn't seen actual space. And I don't encourage them to either." He looked at us conspiratorially, then shrugged nonchalantly.
"A lot of what's out here is not for the faint of heart. You have to have real grit. And moreover, to the ordinary human eye, which refers to humans that have never been inside a TARDIS before mind you; the world outside the small bubble of air around the Earth, is actually non-existent to them. What humans think is the entire universe is actually just a pocket of air around the Earth." He gestured with his hands, using odd objects that were improvised to represent Earth and the rest of the real universe.
"Arrasso...Jinjayo?" Soo-Ah and I breathed out in unison.
"Yeah. And you should know, that the TARDIS translates everything we're saying for each other, without us trying." The Doctor continued to explain, to us, dropping this fact casually into our conversation...
"So if I'm speaking Hangug-oh to you right now, it translates what I'm saying for you?" I confirmed with him. The Doctor nodded, he now wore these narrow framed, rectangular spectacles. "But what if I spoke in English only on purpose?" I asked.
"Jungkook-ah! Pabo Jungkook-ah! You'll offend the Doctor." Soo-Ah chided me.
"Aniyo Soo-Ah-ssi... It's alright. Jungkook just asked a question that not many people have thought about before. I'm not offended. I just remembered a friend of mine asked me the same thing once..." The Doctor clarified, but then trailed off.
Going by the look in his eyes, we realised it would be overstepping our boundaries to ask him about it. But the Doctor blinked twice and sprung back to his usual bright and cheerful self.
"Right! Off we go then! Into Willownick territory!" The TARDIS groaned and wheezed once more, the front doors snapping shut with the snap of the Doctor's fingers.
"Didn't want to let in a draft. Space drafts can drive a person into an eternal cold." He mumbled as he rushed around the console, banging a hammer at random spots and kicking up levers with a converse clad foot or marvelling at the screen, twitching his nose as he read stuff out to us.
Soo-Ah and I glanced at the screen, but our jaws fell to the ground. Instead of the usual Roman or Hangul and Hanja Alphabets, the Doctor's home language was written in circles overlapping circles, almost like a venn diagram. The overall look of the text resembled that of a clock's motor, with all its cogs and other tiny components.
How he managed to read it, was fascinating in itself. But after a few minutes of staring at the text, I found that I could just as easily read what the Doctor was reading.
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
Minutes later we landed with a boom of finality on the planet below.
"Uh... Doctor?" Soo-Ah called out suddenly as we walked down the stairs if the platform the console was situated at.
"Mmm?" He hummed in response.
"Uh... Isn't that the space shuttle we were chasing after?" She asked him, pointing at the colourful Willownian sky above.
"Oh ... Shooting stars and comets!" We heard him swear as he gestured for us to follow him back into the TARDIS.
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
After tracking down the shuttle, we waited and watched the Willownicks' that departed the shuttle that crashed to Earth.
"This was two months ago, according to your timeline Jungkook and Soo-Ah. Stay close to me. We're going to investigate." He murmured, removing his glasses and keeping them in a pocket inside his navy pinstriped coat.
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
We found them!
We parked the TARDIS a few metres away from the crash site and observed them through the surveillance cameras aboard the TARDIS. The footage was not for the faint of heart.
Little devilish creatures that were around about a metre tall, they had shimmery green skin and turquoise coloured eyes, climbed out of the shuttle. They were what one would describe as naked, with just a turquoise coloured cloth covering their southern region. It was a little hilarious at first, but something about them was also a touch annoying, with just a hint of a menacing air to them. They cackled with joy at their freedom, the TARDIS Translating their language for us to understand.
'Free, free, free! Let's make merry and have a shopping spree!'
And they landed just outside the theme park on the other side of a local shopping mall. We could still see the smoke and steam escaping their tiny shuttle's engine as they walked off, looking like over grown babies in diapers.
"Right Doc, now what do we do? This is a sensitive situation." I looked away from the screen as I turned to face him, sure that if we did anything now, it would affect the day we met the Doctor.
"I see you're a fast learner Jungkook! We just need to observe them, and pen down their moves. That way, it will be easier to capture them and bring them back to their mummy." The Doctor exclaimed in a loud whisper.
"Mummy?" Soo-Ah noted, an eyebrow raised skeptically.
"Yeah. Didn't I mention their Queen before?" The Doctor asked, scrunching his nose at us in thought.
"Well... Yeah, but you didn't say that it was their mother!" Soo-Ah chuckled.
"Okay. So we capture them, I'm still not sure how, and bring them back to their home planet?" I confirmed.
"Yup. And I have a special plan to capture them. There are only five of them after all." The Doctor grinned.
🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹
Ten minutes later... (Or back to the future)
The Doctor crept closer to the five Willownicks that stood before the controls in the room labelled as a "Chief Maintenance Room". Soo-Ah and I flanked him and brought the net over and around them.
The net was hand woven by The Three Witches of Time according to the Doctor. The fabric of the net was unbreakable. Nothing in this entire universe would be able to break free from it.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh let me go!" Screeched the tallest of the five Willownicks. He was dressed in more clothing and appeared to be the eldest.
"Uh-ah Dorium Green the thirtieth. Your mother is very, very upset with you. She sent me personally to collect you all. I believe, you're all grounded for the next - hmmmm... What was it, ten, no... Ahh... Yes! - for the next thirty-five thousand years! Good luck living that out in your room eh!" The Doctor chided the eldest.
He had a funny way of speaking to the Willownicks too. At the end of every word he added a sort of click of his tongue or a kind of glottal clicking sound. I suppose it was part of the Willownicks' language which was not translated for Soo-Ah and I as words were often translated.
The Doctor made the trip back to Willownia alone dragging a kicking and screaming bunch of teenagers home and he said he was going to be right back. We waited for him, sitting on a park bench as we waited for the fading sound of a TARDIS to leave - indicating that we would have left with The Doctor on our adventure into outer space.
While we waited, Soo-Ah and I talked about our day out. Taking the space travel into consideration, it felt like we had squashed two days into one.
"Ahh... Jungkook, this was such an amazing day with you." Soo-Ah sighed happily, resting her head against my shoulder.
"Yeah, we've seen so much, it's almost a pity to go back to our normal lives after this. After all that's happened, wouldn't you like to hop aboard the TARDIS and travel off to a faraway planet?" I exclaimed, resting my head against my girlfriend's.
"I don't really care where we are, Jungkook. As long as I am with you, I know I'll be safe." She replied, surprising me, and placing a kiss on my cheek.
My heart melted.
Now is my chance to ask her to marry me! I thought to myself, trying not to panic.
Slowly pulling out the small leather box out of my jacket's pocket, I straightened in our seat to face my girlfriend and Soo-Ah turned to face me.
"Soo-Ah, will you marry me?" I asked her nervously.
I didn't have any fancy lines for her. Nor did I have a fancy ring. It was expensive yes, but it was a simple gold ring with a diamond set in the middle of the band. Presenting the ring to her, I felt myself blush as I had tried my best in picking out the right ring for Soo-Ah.
"Omg! Yes! Jungkook, it's so beautiful! I love you!" Soo-Ah exhaled in a single breath.
Chuckling in relief at her cute response, I placed the ring on her finger and pulled her close for a kiss.
As we kissed, we heard a groaning, wheezing sound becoming louder and louder in front of us, rather than fading away as we'd thought. The TARDIS materialized in front of us just as suddenly as the sound of the engines had begun.
"Ahh... Finally! Congratulations Jungkook and Soo-Ah!" He smiled broadly at us, casually leaning against the side of the TARDIS, arms crossed.
"Thank you Doctor. You've helped us realise that there's no time better than now." I answered, looking from Soo-Ah to The Doctor.
"So... What do you say... Would you fancy a celebratory trip to Paris in the year 1951? Perhaps a little garden tea party near the Palace of Versailles? My present. I've got plenty of suitable clothes in the wardrobe upstairs. Just beyond the pool in the library!" The Doctor called out as we all entered the TARDIS and wandered off, looking around for the room he'd suggested
And with that, the TARDIS dematerialized into the vortex as we picked our outfits for a Garden tea in the 1950s with The Doctor.

A/n: Hope you enjoyed my attempt at a Doctor Who crossover.
Initially the story was meant to have a darker horror feel, where Jungkook would have saved his girlfriend in the nick of time (I imagined they were in a different kind of accident and they were semi -injured with minutes to survive as a large, heavy, metal container was about to crush them).
But then the story took a sci-fi turn with the green scaly people watching them ominously. It just gave off Doctor Who vibes (iykyk - that's if you've watched Doctor Who before).
And there you have it!
TARDIS Translations:
"Aniyo... " - 'No.'
"Arrasso...Jinjayo?" - this means: 'I see... really is that so?'
"Jungkook-ah! Pabo ..." - this means: 'Jungkook, you're silly!' (Pabo means fool if you directly translate it).
"Aniyo Soo-Ah-ssi..." - this means: 'No, miss Soo-Ah.'
