Damn, I had a slight case of writers block 😄 Shout out to my Best Friend  @Nadine14Watemeyer for helping me overcome the dreadful writing disease. And I'm thinking of writing a whole story for Melay and Kierce 🤔😌

Hauntingly Blue Eyes

Hauntingly blue eyes... That's all I remember. The rest is gone, no longer in my mind. Even my own name has been forgotten.

Those blue eyes, they're my only lead. I just have to find them, the problem is that I'm sure that there are other people sporting the same color blue.

I have been awake for a few hours now. I woke up on a couch in a stranger's home, but by now, I wouldn't know if it really was a stranger. I suspect that I attended a party of some sort and that's where something happened. So, what happened?

The owner of the home chased me and a few other people away before I could ask any questions. I made the decision of walking aimlessly on the sidewalk, "Maybe I would remember something if I see it." I had told myself.

As I walked past a busy park, my headache increased from looking at the sun reflecting from the metal slide. Hm, maybe I fell at the party? It could explain my headache and the memory loss.

"It's the most likely possibility." I mumbled to myself. I got a few stares from the people around me when I said that. I couldn't care less, I have bigger fish to fry. But that guy's eyes. Hauntingly blue orbs. The same eyes which are stretched across my mind. Well, I have to admit that the owner of the eyes isn't bad to look at.

"Little Angel?" The guy whispered when he caught my stare. Wait. What? That can't possibly be a name! It has to be a nickname.

"What are you doing here?" He asked slowly, his emotions hard to read. Is he angry or worried?

"I don't know." I said, why did I feel guilty about my answer? My eyes started to burn while I looked at him. I can finally have my answers. But he seemed to have had a little panic attack as he saw the tears forming in my eyes.

"Um, let's get you home, we can talk on the long way there."

"I can't just go 'home'! There are questions I want answers to right now! Who am I? Why can't I remember anything, except for the color of your eyes? Why did you call me little Angel? And what on earth is wrong with me?" A small tear slipped down my cheek, but I quickly wiped it out of existence before he could see it. On the other hand, he looked shocked at my little outburst.

"You, umm... you don't remember anything?" I gave him a glare as an answer. "Wow, considering that you lost your memory, your glares haven't changed a bit." He said with a nervous laugh.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Don't worry about it um, let's go sit down for this." He led me to a park bench and we sat down.

"So um, let's begin. You are Melay Lisbeth Collins, a seventeen year old high school student. But most of your friends calls you Mellie. Does anything sound familiar?"

"No, who are you to me? Why is it that your blue eyes seem to be the only thing I can remember?"

"I don't know how to put it, but we do have a rough past together, um... I don't really like to talk about it. But I think your memory los has something to do with me." He said nervously while raking his hair through with his fingers.

"Can you consider telling me what happened between us...wait what is your name?" He paired his answer with a bright smile and a chuckle. "Hi there Little Angel, my name is Kierce Andrews, an eighteen year old high school student from your neighboring town, also known as the town you are visiting at the moment."

He reached for my right hand and held it in his. He had a smile playing on his lips, but it only lasted a few seconds before doubt crawled over his features and he pulled his hand back just before he continued speaking again, his smile replaced by a straight line. Is it bad that I missed his smile?

"Little Angel, if I could have gone back in time, I would have changed my mistakes. Maybe it would have resulted in you owning all of your memories today."

"But you can't go back." I finished the sentence for him. He sights deeply and turns his gaze to the cloudless sky above us, looking troubled by his thoughts.

"Kierce?" he turned his gaze back to me.

"Yes Little Angel?" he answered.

"Please, Kierce. Please tell me. Don't I deserve to know what happened?"

"I...I'm scared. You deserve to know everything. But I don't want you to know... I've never wanted you to know about my dirty secrets. But I will try my best to answer the more specific questions you may have." His pleading eyes convinced me to not push him further.

"What were we? Relationship wise?" he laughed at my question.

"I think that I would have asked the same question if our roles were to be reversed." he gave out another laugh, this one a little more for himself. He sat straight and turned to look me in the eyes before answering my question.

"To the public, we were good friends, but alone? We were a lot more than friends and we kept that fact a secret."

"Why?"

"Little Angel, your parents despised me, even when they thought we were only friends. Most of your friends also louthed me. We decided not to tell anyone." Confusion clouded me as I stared at his blue eyes. And he knew what my question was.

"You are an only child with strict parents. I am the opposite. I'm one of five children, our parents aren't much involved in our lives um... I made bad choices, and I was know for those choices. I changed, in time. But people still expected the worst from me." he gave me a sad smile.

"But I forgave you? Even while knowing what you had done? Didn't my parents trust my desisions?... You don't have to answer that. But I have more questions. You mostly speak in the past tense. Where we still together, before I lost my memories?"

"No, Little Angel we couldn't be. You're parents moved to the neighboring town. They check your phone daily, they only let you go out of the house when the reason is clear. And if I decided to send you letters through the mail, they would have red it. We tried to make things work, I even skipped school and visited you at lunch behind the new school. Turned out that the teachers who smoked, smoked behind the school." He flinched at the memory and I released a giggle .

"Little Angel, don't you know that it's rude to giggle at someone's pain?" He said jokingly. We both sat there and squiled in laughter for a while, my questions forgotten, yet only for a while.

But when our laughter stopped, I scrambled to place my next question into words.

"Um...I uh. Kierce? If I live in the neighboring town...then how did I end up here?"

"What else do you remember? Like where did you wake up?"

"I woke up on a couch, the place was messy and there were other people who woke up. I think I was at a party the previous night."

"If you did go, I think you didn't go for the party itself." I frowned at his words.
"Little Angel, you're wearing a hoody and tights. That's not something you would wear to parties. I think one of your friends dragged you there, or maybe you went to speak with a friend. Do you have your phone with you?"

"No, I only have these clothes on my back. Do you have any of my, um..."friends" phone numbers?"

He smiles at me, "Don't worry Little Angel, I promise you, we'll interrogate every single person we can get a hold of until we figure out what happened last night." he stood up from the bench and scrolled through his phone. I walked up next to him, just in time for him to press call and bring the phone to his ear.

"Hey Lucas. Do you still have Lilly's number?"
