Soomin was in a hospital gown waiting for the nurse to call her to prep her for the surgery.

She wanted to see Tae before she went in. To say that she was scared is an understatement.

She didn't want to die. She had never prepared for death. She wanted to live.

She was lost in her thoughts when Taehyung came in with a bouquet.

His heart shattered seeing Soomin in a miserable state.

He walked over to her bed and kept the flowers next to her on a table.

Soomin noticed his presence and a small smile crept her face.

"You came." She said softly.

Tae pressed his lips together and stroked her scalp which were once bloomed with beautiful hairs.

"Ofcourse I did. I'll always be here with you." Tae said fondly.

"Dont." Soomin took his hand away from her head. "I'm ugly." She added.

"You're beautiful like you always are." He said and winked playfully but Soomin frowned hearing that.

"What if I d-die?" She asked fiddling with the blanket.

"You won't. You have to fight." Tae said grabbing her hands and brought them together.

"I have no will. No reason. I don't think I can fight alone." She said with trembling voice.

"You're not alone. I'm always with you." Tae said kissing her hand.

"My mind will not be the same when I go there." She said with moist eyes.

"What if my mind forgets you? What will I do? I can't do this alone." She said while sobbing a little.

"Then remember me in your heart. Give me a place in your heart. Think about me. You have to fight for me. I will be nothing without you. Fight for us. Please. Don't give up." Tae said with a smile but inside he was crying.

"Heart?" Soomin asked and Tae nodded.

"Yes place me in your heart like I placed you in mine." He said and kissed her forehead and cheek.

He was about to place his lips on hers but got interrupted by Seokjin who entered the room without knocking.

"A-are you ready Soomin?" He said while trying to be unaffected by what he was about to see.

"Yes. Just give me a minute." Jin nodded and quickly went out.

"Good luck Soom-" Tae got interrupted with a pair of lips landing on his.

Their kiss was soft. Both of them wanted ot to last forever. Their eyes were closed as they tried to fight the tears that threatened to come out again.

As they pulled away, Tae joined his forehead with Soomin and smiled sadly.

"I'm always with you. This is not the end." Soomin nodded and smiled too.

"Thank you for coming in my life. And you have already been a part of my heart for as long as I can remember. Thank you for not leaving my side." She said and held his hands.

"Wait for me."

"Always."
