↦ OVERVIEW: grey is one of the most non-judgmental people out there, and that's what originally brought the two together.

despite the very cocky and aggressive way the older male came off in the beginning, grey was always there to support him. he'd always pop his head into his room at the end of the day to make sure he was doing alright and he'd attempt to reassure after every disagreement the group got into with him. which was confusing for jae, but heavily appreciated. and as he calmed down and got a hold of himself, grey was right there cheering him on.

along with the frequent check-ins and reassurances, grey always held an appreciation for the deeper parts of jae that a lot of people glanced over. he lets him ramble on about the clothing he's been thinking of or the parts about life that he's spent time pondering. and in return jae continually tries to help them with their confidence.

on-screen the two of them don't tend to interact often, but more often than not those interactions usually include jae either encouraging grey to say whatever is on their mind or helping them say that stuff whenever they can't. but in the dorms, you can usually find them in each other's rooms quietly chatting about stuff. and on stage, jae is always the first to step forward when grey needs help saying something.

• jae listening to every single piece of music that grey has put out

↦ OVERVIEW: described as both intimidating and silent, the duo is the one that compliments each other the easiest.

they both lean towards the more quiet side of things; tending to talk less in group situations. from the outside looking in it would be easy to assume that both are shy or extremely private, but more simply they just don't see the point of talking unless they very specifically have something to say. and they also both like to think through the things they say before saying them. which takes time, but neither are in a rush.

in the dorms, if the two are together then they're probably shut in a room together having "quiet time". because everyone else is either bad at remaking quiet for long periods of time or wants to fill the silence with something else, it can be hard to find time really be by yourself. so, as often as possible they'll lock themselves in a room together and either silently do something together or in each other's presence; like playing video games or working on music.

and in public the two don't actively interact too much, though if they are together then their usually trying to get a break from everyone else.

↦ OVERVIEW: while dylan and sterling together are sort of the disciplinary duo of the group, dylan and key together are the calmer version of the two.

key has always been a backup to the two of them but a lot more relaxed version. he likes to help keep everyone in line but he's also not the kind of person who likes to get on people's backs. so, he takes a step back and only verbally says anything when it's completely necessary to. and when you put him together with dylan, the oldest tends to take on the same demeanor.

the two of them tend to spoil the maknae's whenever possible and try their best to make sure everyone is still having fun. they know that with what they do it can be hard for everyone to fully let loose and have fun in the way that people their age usually do, and as the two oldest they try their best to provide that for everyone. because they both know how important fun and freedom are.

in the dorms, they like to pull everyone together and try to do some group bonding type of stuff, on top of just casually hanging out together. and the rest of the time they just hang out and have a good time together in the same way brothers would. they give off massive bro vibes together.

↦ DAEJEUN THINGS:
• spoiling all of the members when they know they aren't supposed to
• forcing everyone in the group to come together and hangout with each other for supposed "team bonding"
• hugging each other the typical hugs that guys do
• eating ice cream with each other in the middle of the night when everyone else is sleeping
• seeing who can punch each other on the shoulder the hardest
• trying to come across as cooler than the other person is

the confused ones

↦ OVERVIEW: for some unknown reason, the two normally smart people become something near idiots when they're around each other. it's like a switch flips and both of them lose the ability to use even one of the many brain cells both of them have. which always makes them quite an entertaining duo.

they became friends during the process of writing iMAGE's first album. it was them who worked on most of the editing for the album and helped sort everything out, so the two of them became fairly close. when it came to music it was like they knew what the other was thinking without having to say it out loud. and they've both said countless times that when it comes to music they work best with each other.

but everything else is a mess.

it's a running joke that when it doesn't involve music the two of them have no idea what happening, and it wasn't too far off from the truth. any live they've done together or any time they've been paired up with each other for stuff they always get this blank look on their face that they can only shrug at, and usually results in them failing at the stuff they try to do. but they both look adorable while doing so.

at the dorms, the two are more often than not holed up in someone's studio together trying to work out the details of a song for either the group or each other. and any other time they are usually accidentally making a mess of things or somehow display the confusion that their feeling.

• staying up all night to try and finish a song the two started working on in the middle of the night
• looking at each other and shrugging when trying to do something
• passing a compliment onto the other whenever it comes to songs that they've worked on together
• accidentally leaking info about songs that the other person has shown them
• disappearing out of sight for long periods of time and re-emerging with an exhausted look on their face
• giving each other high fives all the time

the shy ones

↦ OVERVIEW: all in all, the two just like keeping to themselves.

despite their chosen careers, both of them are the kind of people who like to keep to themselves. they are known enigmas in the public eye who keep a lot to themselves, and that's part of what keeps them as such good friends. but there is also the fact that both of them sometimes seem clueless as to how they are supposed to act when around other people.

both of them are good on stage — something about the crowds and the music seem to pump both of them up enough that they don't have to think about it. but, in almost any other situation it's like the both of them forget how to function, and you can see grey turning to mint to try and help figure out what they are supposed to be doing. because while mint can be reserved and confused, he has everything down a lot more than grey does.

it isn't rare to see the older male standing next to grey speaking quietly in hopes he can help them feel a lot less confused. or the two of them are venting about how little privacy they get at times. and at the dorms, mint is usually trying to reassure grey that they're doing alright and have the whole 'being in the public eye' thing as down as they can.

the perfectionists

↦ OVERVIEW: a duo who doesn't get a lot of causal on screen time, they spend most of their time together training. they are both known perfectionists who like to put their all into everything they do, and unlike everyone else, they have no problem pushing themselves far past their limits.

they are constantly critiquing each other on their dancing and singing, and training with each other to improve. not that they can't do that with everyone else, but the two of them have an easier time doing it because they've always understood each other easier in that aspect. though their desire to succeed exists for different reasons; they both think that the best way to get better is to keep going at the thing you're trying to get right.

so, their known to spend long periods of time in the dance practice room or the studio working on those respective things until someone comes and drags them away. but, in the same breath, they both have also gotten better at keeping each other in line by making sure that they are also taking care of themselves. since neither one of them wants to have an incident like they have before.

• looking at the other with a large smile on their face when they manage to successfully pull off something complicated
