MEANING BEHIND THE NAME: aura is supposed to represent being the most authentic version of oneself. from day one they've embraced the members and allowed them to be the chaotic and flawed people they are, and in return, the members have worked hard to create a space where people can feel safe to celebrate everything that makes them different and embrace the darker parts of themself.

AGE RANGE: early teens to late twenties

EXPLANATION: with their continued message about being as true to yourself as possible and refusing to sugarcoat or ignore the reality of the things that were happening around them, their music is most popular in the gen z to late millennials (early teens to late twenties). though many people also attribute their success within that demographic had more to do with the apparent sex appeal each of the boys held.

FANS GENDER: 49% female. 35% male. 16% other.

EXPLANATION: their fanbase has always been primarily made up of women, the themes of freedom and authenticity seeming to really resonate with them. then most of their male audience joined the fandom after their debut, finding the vibe of their friendship and the 'i don't give a fuck attitude' that they displayed something that they could get behind. and then the rest of their fans are made up of other varying identities that can't fit into any binary category, looking at the group's message of being unapologetically yourself and going after anyone who dared tell you that you can't be who you are.

• auras are known for their unpredictability. on one hand, they can be a very chill group of people who put all of their focus on the boys and ignore any and all drama that is being thrown their way by others. while on the other hand, they can become extremely similar to an attack dog. when provoked they can be ruthless, though not in an aggressive way. they'll get things trending on twitter and flood people's accounts with comments defending the boys or telling off people who spread misinformation or drag up past controversies.

• they are an extremely creative group. on youtube they're known for their compilations of various moments and introductions to the band, most of which are pure chaos. the fans on instagram are known for the memes and reaction pics that they seem to have a never-ending stream of. tiktok holds most of the edits along with some clips of iconic and memorable moments. and then twitter was almost completely filled with shitposts.

• auras excel in streaming and generally taking in any digital content the boy's release. the group has always been very social media and online-focused, known for the ever-growing number of things they released for their fans online. and the fandom has always consumed that stuff almost as fast as it was being released. they always get the numbers of anything that the boys release to grow at a rapid pace, and along with that, they have always been great with their social media engagement.

• they also do a lot of projects for concerts. from spelling out encouraging messages to singing songs for the boys, at most concerts they have a tendency to pull out something that brings at least one of the members to tears or puts a massive giddy smile on their faces.

↦ matching his fans to the name frequently used by the people around him, he very early on started turning the nickname back around on the rest of them. he likes to make his fans feel as important and seen as possible so he makes it known to them just how important he thinks they all are. and one of his go-tos is telling them that out of the both of them, they are undoubtedly the stars that shine the brightest.

↦ despite how intense he can look at times, it's known that the older man is quite soft, and his fans are the same. so, he started referring to them as such. they're incredibly sweet and constantly check in on the oldest of the group to make sure he's taking care of himself. in return, he tries his best to check in on them also and remind them to take care of themselves.

jae • spades ♠️
↦ as the self-proclaimed ace, he decided it was only fitting for his fans to be spades (mostly so he could refer to himself as the ace of spades). the majority of them are just as flirty and sexual as jae is, much to his amusement. so, he's constantly teasing them and making fun of them for their constant freakouts about him taking his shirt off and the edits they make of him being "sexy".

↦ the labeled bear of the group he decided his fans should fittingly be cubs, and he protects them just like any mother bear would to her cubs. he heavily appreciates how protective and accepting they've always been of him and all of his quirks so he tries his best to do the same for them. and most of all he makes sure they know that he'll always accept them into any space he's in with open arms. all he wants is for all of them to feel safe around him and the rest of the group.

↦ konu has often joked that he is the key to keeping everyone together and stopping the members from running themselves into the ground, and that's essentailly what his fans do for him. they tend to be brutally honest, just like him, and those tendencies to do so have always helped keep him locked down and standing on both feet. they accept him for exactly who he is and encourage him to keep being himself no matter what anyone else might say about it.

minsu • little geniuses 💡
↦ there has always been a joke about how minsu is the smartest of the group and always learning new stuff. he's constantly seen in the background of videos reading a book and is known for randomly saying facts, all of which his fans take notice of. so, he started referring to them as little geniuses and is known to keep them updated on every new thing he's learned and showing him his favorites of the books he reads each month.

saturn • sunbeams ☀️
↦ saturn figured that since his stage name was space-themed, the name he used for his fans should be similarly themed. he originally wanted to call them suns but he thought it was too cheesy so he ended up going with sunbeams because he loves to be around them. both he and his fans tend to energize each other and bring smiles to each other's faces. it's often joked that that saturn treats aura more like a close friend than anything else.
