Sitting in my bed,
I would think about
What life would be like
Without me.
I would ask myself,
Leaving?
That's the hardest part.
To leave behind everything,
Or everyone you love
Or loved.

With a past like mine,
The teasing and bullying.
To have only questions.
What would it be like?
Would anyone worry?

Will they remember me?
Does leaving make it better?
Or is the action the hardest to do?

Clutching the blankets closer,
Thoughts still swimming
In my head.
Leaving?
Would it be okay?
Yes, it will hurt.
But to keep living,
For what?
To see a brighter future,
Even when the going gets tough.

Sighing, my shoulders sagged
Weight comes off my shoulders.
But, to me
Leaving seems to be
The ticket way out.
