SHOES THUNDERING ON THE CONCRETE FLOOR WAS THE ONLY SOUND WREN HEARD BESIDE THE POUNDING OF HER HEART AS THE the five magicians streamed out onto the roof of the theatre they just performed in a couple minutes ago. Quickly they raced down the fire escape throwing glances over their shoulders to see if anyone was following them. Once they Made it outside they all had a job to do in order to escape the clutches of the FBI and Interpol.
The brunette followed after Daniel, jumping over a wall. Wren was glad that Henley allowed her to wear sneakers for the show. She didn't know how Henley managed to run in heels.
Daniel and Wren were going to lead Agent Dray and hopefully Rhodes to a dead-end where they would take off to find the others.
Daniel grabbed her hand quickly, pulling her towards the festivities of Mardi Gras, the New Orleans streets filled with loud and drunken tourists and residence. Giving them a good cover.
Wren could only hope that Jack would get Dylan of their tracks for the time being. The brunette smiled spotting Jack in is police outfit a couple feet ahead of them when they made it to Bourbon Street. She gave him a fleeting smile before Daniel pulling the brunette in a different direction.
They slowed down for a moment, trying to catch their breaths when a police siren went off. Wren's head snapped up and she saw Agent Rhodes standing on top of a police car, frantically looking around for any sign of them until his eyes fell on them.
"Time to go." She hissed, pulling Daniel with her through the partying crowd of people.
Wren glanced back seeing Alma closing in on them, a determined look on her face. Both Daniel and Wren picked up speed, running right towards the wall, she jumped up on a crate before pulling herself on the wall. Wren held her hand out for Daniel when she saw Agent Dray reach for her gun.
"C'mon." She shouted hurriedly, a streak of fear in her eyes as she looked at the gun in the agent's hand.
Daniel made it up the wall but Dray had pulled her gun out in front of them, aiming at them. "Stop!" She demanded strictly, finger hovering over the trigger.
Wren and Danny exchanged looks, holding their hands up slightly.
But it was clear to see in the French woman's eyes, Alma Dray couldn't pull the trigger.
Wren grinned giving the French agent a wink, jumping down with Daniel.
They both took off running, hearing the shouts of Dylan Rhodes behind them. they took off towards the direction they were meant to go.
They quickly darted into Napoleon House, Rhodes was close behind as they weaved through the crowd, but they quickly made their way back out before the cops arrived or Dylan would notice he was tracking himself instead of them.
Daniel and Wren slowed their pace as a cop car pulled up in front of them. She grinned at the other magicians.
"Nice car you've got." She nodded, climbing into the back with Daniel.
Henley was in the passenger seat and Jack was in the back. They got away unnoticed as they race against the clock to get to New York City for their finale act with the FBI hot on their heels.

AT THE APARTMENT EVERYONE QUICKLY CHANGED INTO SOMETHING DIFFERENT, SOMETHING MORE SUITED FOR RUNNING. Wren was helping Jack toss away documents they got from their mysterious benefactor into the fire, making sure the FBI didn't find that part out and to ensure the secret of the eye.
Wren glanced back to see Daniel pacing, her own nerves spiking at the sight" Please stop pacing, you're making me nervous." She pleaded, but Daniel didn't listen and kept pacing with Dylan's phone in his hand.
The horsemen were only a couple hours ahead of the cops. It was only a matter of time before they came to New York City and found them.
But instead of it being everyone's job to stay behind it was Jack's turn to show what he got.
And that was something Wren worried about.
Her time with these amazing people made her attached to all four of them. So it was to be expected that she was scared for Jack to do this on his own. Wren knew he could pull it off but that didn't make her any less worried.
But she had to stick to the plan. They already had a safe house, they had a plan the only thing missing was a big distraction.
And that came in the form of death.
Wren wasn't the only one freaking out, all the horsemen were in their own way.
"The firewall is down." Henley announced from behind one of the computers. Wren walked over to Henley, looking over the redhead's shoulder. "Do they know about this?" Henley questioned.
"They? Who?"
"They, them, whoever we're working for."
"Who are we working for?" Merrit asked.
Wren nodded. "What if this is some kind of joke. What if it isn't The Eye at all?" She asked, her own insecurities about the plan showing.
"And are we prepared to go to jail for them? Merrit asked the question everyone had on their mind.
"Okay, stop being paranoid."
"It really does happen."
"Yeah, it happened to you. Doesn't mean it is going to happen to us." Daniel handed Jack some more documents.
"Guys, I don't know if I can do this. I don't wanna go to jail, you know?" Jack admitted, glancing at everyone else.
"Then don't screw up. You're always talking about wanting to be treated like an adult. Now might be a good time to start acting like one. Stick to the plan- stay here and burn it all." Daniel instructed, pressing more documents in the leather jacket cladded horseman.
Wren gave a sympathetic smile to Jack. Not really sure on how to make the youngest member of the team feel better.
"I don't know what I'm doing." Merrit sighed.
"Maybe this wasn't a good idea. Maybe we did the wrong thing, I mean what if everything goes wrong? We, I sacrificed everything for this, to get in The Eye" Wren pulled at her hair frustrated.
Daniel glared at them. "I don't know what you would do anywhere else."
"Well, everything is better than jail." She snapped, turning to face Daniel.
"I'm here for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. That's it. Then I'm gone." Merrit stated.
"You can do whatever you want when this is over, but until then, you stick to the plan." Henley argued.
Wren sighed. "Alright, what do we do now?" She asked.
Daniel stood by the window. "They're here." He stated, quickly closing the curtain again.
Henley turned to Wren. "Time to go." She told the brunette.
"Okay, let's do it." Merrit nodded, walking out of the door.
The sounds of sirens and FBI agents sounded outside, letting the horsemen know they were ready to arrest them. they all rushed outside the apartment and walked down the flight of steps to the trash shoot.
"Ladies first."
"Always the gentlemen, Merrit." Wren huffed throwing her bag inside the shoot, going after it. The brunette moved away just in time as Henley came shooting out, the others close after them.
They moved a bit further out the way for Merrit and Danny. When everyone was outside Danny let the way. "This way."
The four magicians walked until they got to a flight of stairs that lead them to the boiling room. Soon enough, they were outside in the sun, at the other side of the building and no FBI agents to be seen.
Danny hailed a cab. The four got into the cab with Daniel telling the driver were to go. Everything was going according to plan so far.
Timefor the next step.
