"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE SAVOU MANAGEMEMT WELCOMES YOU TO TONIGHT'S SPECIAL PEFORMANCE: THE FIVE Horsemen, Act two. Unlike tradition performances, The Five Horsemen encourage you to film, call your friends, upload, stream, ad tweet the show freely. Thank you. The show will begin in a few minutes."
All five horsemen walked on stage, getting in their position, eager and excited smiles on their faces as they waited for the announcer to continue.
"Arthur Tressler presents Jack Wilder." The spotlight shone on jack as the youngest member waved at the crowd.
"Henley Reeves." Now the light illuminated Henley as she waved, her red locks bounching on her shoulders.
"Merrit McKinney." Merrit grinned impishly at the audience as they applauded.
"Wren Walsh." Wren smiled broadly at the people in the room, a glimmer of anticipation sparking in her eyed.
"And Daniel Atlas. The Five Horsemen." Lastly, Daniel greeted the crowd with a formal wave before they begun the show.
"Thank you. Before we begin, we'd like to single out two people in particular. A man and woman whom we'd like to dedicate tonight's performance." Daniel smirked, eyes drifting towards the guests of honour.
"FBI agent Dylan Rhodes and the lovely, somewhat inexperienced Interpol Agent Alma Dray." Henley declared, motioning towards the two agents sitting among the audience. The spotlight shone on the two and the crowd started to boo at them, knowing the involvement of the two and their quest on putting the group behind bars.
"Glad to see you back again." Wren jested with a large smile on her lips as she stepped beside Daniel.
"Yeah, Agent Rhodes has personally vowed to quote 'nail us.'" Jack added, crossing his arms over his chest.
"And we encourage him to do so if he has the brains and the fur." Merrit teased as people started laughing including Jack, Wren and Henley before they really began the show with their anecdote.
"What is magic? Our argument, nothing but targeted deception. " Daniel started, stepping forward to walk closer to the audience.
"A trick of the eye." Wren inquired mysteriously with a grin.
"So we want you to look. Look as closely as possible. Because the tricks you're about to see may not seem connected. But we assure you, they are. Is what follows 100 different tricks. Or is it--one giant illusion?"
The audience applauded and cheered for the five magicians as they stood side by side. The light in the room flashed before turning off completely. The audience cheered for the horsemen as their show began.
At the moment Daniel and Henley stood on the stage to debunk the disappearing bunny trick. Henley stood beside the box a white rabbit in her arms.
"Danny if you would mind showing the box is completely empty." She asked sweetly.
Daniel, doing as asked, opened the box and showed the crowd. "I'm going to take sweet little Fluffy here and put her inside this mystery box." Henley place Fluffy inside.
Daniel closed it. "Now if you would say the magic word." Daniel asked her with a grin.
"Abracadabra." Henley waved her hands sarcastically as she spoke the word.
"Yes and I will wave this magic wand, for absolutely no reason." He pulled a black and white wand from his jacket and waved it above the box for a second before he threw it away nonchalantly.
"And then Fluffy has magically vanished before your very eyes." He opened the box again to show the audience.
"And now we are going to debunk a few magic myths this evening. We all know that Fluffy is in fact alive and well" Henley announced as Daniel pulled the mirror out the box twirling is around. "And Fluffy has miraculous appeared." She grabbed the bunny.
It was Jack turn after Henley and Daniel left the stage, chattering happy about Thaddeus' surprised face.
"There are two pencils out there." Jack started shuffling a deck of cards. "Hold em' up high, let me see them."
"Here." One woman held her pencil up as she stood up.
"Yeah." The other woman did the same and held hers up too.
Jack grinned at the two woman. He made them count down from three before throwing his deck of cards and made one card stick through the pencil.
Jack smirked before throwing another card all the way up to the other woman cutting the pencil in two.
Next up was Merrit as he passed the youngest magician in the group, giving thr boy and high-five on his way.
"Now we gonna need 12 courage volunteers." He asked and soon he was joined by 12 volunteers on stage.
"If you haven't experienced mass hypnoses your about to." He told the audience.
"And Sleep. Down, down. Sleep, sleep. Down. Good, good. Sleep." They all fell asleep." He walked in front of the volunteers, putting them to sleep one by one. "When you wake up again you all are football players."
That made the crowd laugh.
"And your job is to tackle, dismantle, crush, tear limb-for-limb the quarterback." He touched their shoulders, emphasising each word clearly." You will know who the quarterback is. He will be the one saying that word 'freeze'."
Now they all stood around in a right circle. "Put your hand in the middle."
"One."
"two."
"Three."
"Kill quarterback!" they shouted.
"I think I'm gonna be seeing you soon."
And it seemed like the crowd was enjoying the show so far. Everyone had solo acts and Wren stood now among the audience. No one had seen her yet, just like she had planned. It was her turn after Merrit who had hypnotized twelve people.
"Magic." Wren started as the spotlight fell on her and the crowd watched her. "It can have many meanings. But tonight I want to show you the meaning behind simple tricks that can put smiles on people's faces." She caught the eye of the two FBI agents.
She slowly walked up the stage. "We all know the simple card tricks. A trick of the eye. To simple shuffle a deck of cards." She grinned fanning her cards around.
"Keep looking because nothing ever is at it seems. " Wren pointed at someone in the crowd.
"Name a card." She asked walking towards the Interpol agent.
"Ace of diamonds." The woman spoke up, her heavily accented English standing out, but she could not repress the small smile that appeared on her face.
Wren nodded. She threw the cards in the air and they all went up in flames leaving no trace behind.
"Ma'am, please check your pocket." She did as she was told and pulled a card from her pocket.
"What you got there, miss?" Wren grinned.
"The ace of diamonds." Alma breathed out in surprise, a large smile forming on her lips.
"There it is." Wren pointed to Interpol agent. "That smile I'm talking about." The audience cheered for her. "Not everything has to be so serious all the time." The subtle jab was directed at the man sitting next to Alma Dray.
"Thank you."
Daniel appeared moment after Wren left the stage. He was making bubbles from his hands and let them float around the room. Henley had asked Wren to switch with her saying that she wasn't feeling well and the brunette thought that was bullshit.
But the show must go on.
So standing on stage with Daniel she waited for him to make a bubble big enough for her. Wren took a running start going inside the bubble. She was floating high above the crowd. She was laughing as she flipped around, enjoying the moment fully. Wren twisted around the chandelier, tapping it with her hand, breaking the bubble. She pretended to scream when she fell down, the crowd gasping in fear as she soared down, until she fell right in Danny's arms.
"Nice catch, Atlas." She muttered a small smile on her face as she looked up at him.
"You okay there, Walsh?" He grinned down at her, a smile on his own face as he stared down at her.
"Justpeachy."
