Red gave a malevolent grin. It was time for the games to begin.

They clapped twice, causing all of the lights to turn red and shine on them. This, of course, caused the players to slightly panic and try to find the cause of this.

A few, though, were looking curiously and excitedly, most likely guessing it was some sort of in-game event.

"Welcome!" Red boomed, using a voice changer to make it seem deep, distorted, and malicious. "This is MY GAME now! And you follow MY rules."

He started laughing menacingly.

The others in the room grew uncomfortable, a little unsettled by this new addition to the server.

"Who are you?" Demanded a snow leopard.

"I am Red, Platina. And you won't EVER forget that name. I PROMISE you."

"I don't know who you think you are, but if you're a hacker, I won't hesitate to-"

"Hey, Willow, it's okay! It's most likely just a game event," a water fairy soothed.

Willow grumbled. "You're not my mother, Aqua."

A guy in the corner huffed and crossed his arms. "I hate game events. It gets boring quick, and I always lose anyway."

A female cat looked over at him. "I bet if you tried, Gold, you could get pretty far!" Her expression then changed to a smirk. "But I bet I'd win against you any day!"

"Take that back, Antigone!"

A human-dragon hybrid rolled their eyes. "Girls, girls, you're both pretty. Now shut up so I can hear!"

"That wasn't very nice, Chaos."

"Does it look like I care, Asteria?"

Meanwhile, in another corner of the server, the rest of the players were dealing with things...differently.

"Do you see that guy over there, Neiji? Who would name their character 'Hi :)'?" Questioned a player.

Neiji shrugged. "I don't know, Wolf Shadow. Probably a noob."

A rat looked over to them. "I heard that!"

Another nearby player smoothly responded. "We meant noob as in 'new and cool'. Very...interesting name choice."

Hi :) beamed back. "Oh, okay! Thank you!"

Wolf Shadow grinned. "Thanks for that cover, Asichen."

A female human cupped her hands around her mouth and called after the rat. "They were just making fun of you and saying your name was stupid."

Neiji shrugged. "Basically."

A male dog gave a small growl. "Zura!"

Zura rolled her eyes. "What do ya want, Cherry?"

An elf got between the dog and human. She grinned playfully. "Hey, Zura! How about we see this event? It seems pretty interesting!"

Zura huffed. "Sure, Tundra."

Suddenly, they all felt an electric shock go through their bodies.

"What was that?!" Exclaimed a dragon-wolf thing.

A male tiefling looked concerned. "You all felt that too, right?"

"Yeah, Darren," responded a female caracal. "It came from that thing, the thing you all called an 'event'."

"This is...concerning," Neiji noted. "As Vera has observed, this 'Red' character seems to be causing us physical harm."

"Oh really?" Chaos asked.

"Yes," Neiji answered. "Didn't you sense it?"

Chaos just gave him a look before ignoring him all together.

"It's time for the GAMES to BEGIN! If you tell ANYONE about this, or you decide to LEAVE...well, you WON'T like the outcome..."

"I'm not afraid of you," scoffed a human male. "I don't see why anyone should be. I'm reporting this as 'bullying' and 'hacking' right now."

Red chuckled. "Now, now, Nova. You need to show some more respect."

Nova yelped as he got shocked again.

A female human seemed to be searching for a way to stall Red. She made eye contact with a female phoenix, and the phoenix nodded in return.

"So..w-what are these 'games' you're referring to?" She asked.

Meanwhile, the phoenix was reporting, or trying to report, Red.

"Glad you asked, DANI. Although, don't think your little PLAN with Hemera will work." Red sounded smug. "THESE games will TEST your speed, healing ability, strength, intelligence, ability to find, and how compatible you are with OTHERS. Only the BEST will survive..."

All the players looked at each other uneasily.

"Have fun~" Chuckled Red before he disconnected.
